  1. Awwwrite, E-man!!! That looks TOO COOL!!! Who knows MAYBE I'll be gettin into slot cars too now!
  2. Over the years, only my Big Brudder Art, was interested in my models. Mom an Dad were just glad they kept me out of trouble. Funny, now that I think of it, they NEVER bought me one. they ALWAYS bought me practical(in their opinion) gifts, clothes, regular toys, bikes, stuff like that. But my MUCH OLDER sisters ALWAYS bought me a model car for my B-days,an at Christmas I'd get at least 4 of them(one from each) Mom always was after me to keep my room clean an would get mad if I had parts all over the bed, dresser, ect. One day she threatened to throw my stuff away, an I went to my Pop to ask him ta calm her down, which he did. Then he hooked me up MY OWN corner in the basement an told me not to build in my room anymore, an my Ma would chill out. So I did, an so she did!. I kept that corner for the rest of my youth. When I left home for the service, it stayed just as I left it, an when I'd come home on leave I'd go down an mess around with something I'd left 1 year before! When I got out,an my folks retired to Texas, my model corner was still there. I ALWAYS appericiated my Dad comin thru for me like he did, an I hope he knew it. Now my Ma looks at my models on the shelfs in my basement, an jus laughs that I still do it. Joy has built models too, I still have about a dozen that she built right along with mine on my shelfs. Someday, God willing, I'll have Emmi's AND Carters models up there too. I never think about how long I've been doin it, caz I been doin it ALL my life. Hopefully I'll still be doin it till I no longer can! I DO love this hobby, it's been MORE than that to me. More like an old freind who's always been there for me. Theresa knows what my cars mean to me, an she's ALWAYS been on my side about them. NEVER have had words with her about them, in 37,goin on 38 years of marrage. She always goes to the toyshows with me, only reason she won't be at Toledo with me is caz she can't hang all day. But I CAN!!!
  3. HOLY SHAMOLY!! The "Tip 'o The Year" sittin RIGHT ON MY KITCHEN COUNTER!!! Guess they should change the name to "Bounty, the quicker POLISHER upper"!!!!! Thanks Kahuna!!!
  4. Moanin Dan, yep ya shorely did! BUT where's Mike-O an the Wolfster? HARRY, now ya see wat yav gon an dun??? Ya gat a WHOLE crew a guys jus waitin on they fix!!! (Mike an Wolf'll be here inna min!) Well Mr. Harry, we's waitin on ya, Waz it gon be Daddy-O Real or Model??? Needy jonesers GOTTA have it, so HIT us Daddy-O HIT US!!!!!
  5. Guys is Clay Kemp GeezerMan??? Our man in "the sandbox" is Clay Jones(God bless Him,an ALL our Brothers). I gotta admit, Geezer is one of the most talented,IMAGINATIVE builders I've ever seen! I actually missed him when he stopped postin a while back. To me he's up there with Dave,GrampsXrds, Mr.BIGGS, Raul,Bill G.,even if he's gotta different style than the other guys, He's STILL got a style ALL HIS OWN!! Personally, I think he's in his OWN class, I mean, would YOU'S have used a squirrel skull in a build??? Me either, but dammed if HE din't pull it off with flying colors! That's what I mean about a class of his own. Creativity is a hallmark of a GENIUS, and he certainly fits in with the other guys I mentioned! Squirrel skull aside, just look at the workmanship in the Rodent. TOTALLY HANDBUILT body, frame, etc. Tell me he AIN'T someone to be impressed by!!! I LOVE his work!!!Oh Yeah!!!
  6. Great conversion,Bill! Especially in BLACK!!! Ya know how that color BRINGS out the flaws in ANY bodywork, but yours is perfect, as usual! GREAT Build!!!
  7. Bill, thats only caz you ain't eatin it as musabi, or the nori's from 7/11 !!!
  8. 'At's ok Gary, I got my neurons an receptors fried YEARS ago, so the drugs din't change thinks enough ta warrant ta keep usein 'em!!!
  9. Maybe THAT'S why I can't finish anything! I listen to Emerson,Lake and Palmer, King Crimson,The Nice,an Rammstein! LOVE that crazy music! I don't even use drugs anymore,an that kinda music ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, and my mind at ease! Go figger!!!
  10. THANKS,Tony. I was REALLY thinkin about getting one,due to it's scale, caz I like ANYTHING 25th scale, an I think it woulda looked cool among my other stuff. But since 48th scale is what I built in the old days, aircraft an such, it woulda been cool to know that back then. Thanks for warnin us,BEFORE we went out an got disappointed! REALLY appericiate you takein one for the team!
  11. Tommy, sleepin inna car,in the parking lot of said Holiday Inn,DOESN'T COUNT!!!
  12. Hey, maybe HE'S a robot!!?? Someone should just unplug him, or take his batteries out!
  13. Like I said, WHAT is it? I CAN see the Mustang, but what did you combine it with? It's interesting, but I'm kinda lost about it's final design. Your doin some great bodywork, it looks like it's comin out like ya want, but where does it fall? Is it a Rally car, drag racer, street car,Taxi? Sometimes jus caz ya CAN do somethin, doesn't mean you should. It just doesn't flow well for me, But like I said that's just me, an THIS particular build. Your other stuff is great to me, I jus can't get into the lines on this one. BUT it is a cool attempt at something different. Jus my opinion, hope you don't get mad, evidently the rest of the guys like it, so who am I ta bich. Great body work though.
  14. Derrick, I'm not too into larger scales, because of all the scratch building needed to be different, BUT I AM into beautifully built models in any scale! This thing is a TRUE work of ART and passion!!! It's probably one of the MOST exquisite modeling projects I've EVER seen! It's like hand building the REAL thing. I can't say enough! The workmanship, execution, EVERYTHING on it IS PERFECT!!! You should be VERY proud of your efforts, Your love of the craft is self evident!!!! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFULL JOB!!!!
  15. Marsh, I vote RESTORE! It's too pretty not to! Plus, I personally don't think that theres much you could improve on it by customizing it! Jus do 'er up right!
  16. HOLY SHAMOLY E-Man, thats jus down the street from me dude! Thanks for the heads up, I'll definately check them out for sure!!!!!
  17. Pat, get ahold of Jack, overt Model Round-Up, he's a GREAT dealer, has ALL the latest stuff, an he's just a neet guy to deal with! Tell him I sentcha. On second thought, forget that last comment, he MIGHT charge ya more!!!
  18. There ya go Rick, THAT'S the RIGHT attitude!!! An Pat, HOW were a able ta get BOTH Jeff AND Kev together for a pic? Those 2 HATE each other!!! ( actually they're best of freinds, in fact the used to be partners! )
  19. Heck,Harry, I wouldn't know where ta START surgifieing a robotic!!!
  20. Wha,who, where, wha???? Just gut whoever he is loose, wats surgery got ta do with us, unless it's PLASTIC surgery!!!! This guy jus wants ta have somethin ta do, which is ok, jus DON'T DO IT HERE!!!!
  21. Ryan, I myself use EverCoat. It's a Polyester Plastic based type of putty. It works GREAT and sands an feathers easily. It IS kinda expensive I payed about 15 bucks for a 1lb.can. It's a 2 part resin/hardener type of putty that's REAL easy to work with, an to me it's worth the price. I'm SURE there's ALOT more stuff out there, but this works best for me!
  22. Jose, I REALLY hate to be rude, but WHAT is it????
  23. Ern, set it to about 102 degrees. Mine has no temp setting, but I got an oven thermometer in it that reads about 107 when I put my parts in it. I never used a laquer paint, only enamels an I've left mine in there for up to 2 days with no problem. Just make sure it's NOT near the bottom, where the heating elements are. I actually got 2 dehydrators, just to get the extra "Decks" to raise it up higher away from the bottom. They DO work GREAT!!!!
  24. Capt'n. NO, you WOULDN'T want to see that rascal in a 1:1, can you IMAGINE how BIG that dam squirrel would hafta be??? No thank you, I 'll be GLAD ta settle for the model!!!
  25. Dave, where'd ya get the fenders? I used an ol Lil John Buttera kit for my build. It looks ok, but it dom't look NO WHERE as good as yours. Mine used the fenders from the off scale 34 kit(It looks TOO small to be 25th scale)and I filled in the area behind the front wheels. It,and the Chassis, fit well, but it ain't accurate. I REALLY like yours.Did you use the fenders from the Anglia kit? They look familiar, but I jus can't place 'em. But then again, knowin you, ya probly HAND POUNDED them outta somekinda metal!! She's lookin MIGHTY tastey though, can't wait ta see it finished!!!
