Fuje, THANKS for clearing that up for me! I THOUGHT it had something to do with Furds,McLaren USED to build Mustangs din't they? THAT'S why I said Saleen. Oh well Right idea,WRONG builder! Still a NICE lookin car! wonder if ya gotta get used ta drivin from the MIDDLE of the car though.

BEAUTIFUL BUILD!!!! I too have quite a few R&R kits,an have NEVER had one that DIDN'T need work to look accurate! BUT he does got ALOT of off the wall stuff that you won't find elsewhere. You made that rascal look PERFECT, and I PERSONALLY understand what you had to do to get it lookin that nice! His stuff may need some work to make it look good, but, sometimes he IS the only game in town. Where else ya gonna find a 70 Buick GSX in 25th scale??? Your lil Pontiac looks GREAT! Ya dun REAL good Chris,, I likeses it ALOT!!!!

george 53 replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Pat,let's just hope he's too stupid to figger out HOW ta use it, he's already shown he's got the intellegence of a gnat! -
KK, Kevin is a member of our model club,DRMCC, an he had one at last months meeting, it was BEAUTIFUL! The resin he uses looks JUST like styrene plastic,an the body is flawless! I'm thinkin of getting one myself, but I'm savein up for Jeff's Postal Jeep first! How much was it?, I didn't ask Kev, I was SO glad just to see it,I forgot!Duuuhhhh!. Ya know, I'd like to tell you that ANYTHING you buy from Kevin at Missing Link, or Jeff at Motor City Resins, will look like a FACTORY popped kit, they are THAT NICE!!! AND BOTH of these guys ARE GREAT ta deal with! I'm GLAD to be able to call them freinds!

20, Now THAT'S a magik question. I've asked that myself at least 3 times an I've NEVER gotten an answer. If the guys who can build their own know how, they AIN"t sharein it.It's the ONLY question I've asked that I've never gotten an acceptable answer to. I'm told the same things you'll be told, "Go look at some pictures" I DON'T want to know what they LOOK like, I would LIKE to know HOW TO MAKE THEM! But, those that do know WON'T share that info, must be ona need ta know basis or I'm just not in the clique. Either way, I'd still like to know,so I'll be watchin to see IF ANYONE will share the secret with us. Just don't bet on it! Yeesh, they're only models,it's not like they're givin away state secrets. Oh, there is a guy in Oz who does cast some real nice ones, about 3 different sizes, depending on how much power ya wanna make, but it IS mail order,an I'd like to know how to MAKE them. Just like you. 20, try www.thepartsbox.com he's the guy from Oz who runs his own website,an he's got them, they look real nice too!

Airbrush Dilemma From San Diego Is Fixed

Wow Gregg,Thats GREAT news! Good thinks do happen to those that wait,An like Harry said in another thread, "Alls well that ends well" GLAD ta hear it worked out good for you! -
Bob, beleive it or not, there was a guy here who had plated the FRONT and REAR bumpers in 24K gold! His 70 SuperBee, was the same Dark coppery metalic color Chuck mentioned. When I first saw it,it WAS kinda gaudy, but the more I did see it, it grew on me! Now all these decades later, I wonder what happened to that car. So the black bumpers won't look too odd on it, after all, I've seen 'em in GOLD!!!!
-
OK Led, NO goofin around Dude, this is SERIOUS stuff! I don't think a YES qualifies as an answer, so give us a guess, after all, it's ONLY a game!!!!( Plus I been right 4 weeks inna row! )
-
Is that a Saleen? If it is, I've never seen such a detailed model. The door/hood lines are TOO perfect, the headlights look kinda funny,an the screws COULD be P/E. But I'm gonna go wit REAL!!!! Your back inna groove Harry, this ones gonna be close!
-
Geeze, that thing is DOWNRITE BEAUTIFUL!!!! What a GREAT idea! Remindes me of when I was a kid, an some crazies down the block would build ANYTHING that had a big motor! This is JUST TOO COOL!! I gotta alot of jeep junk an I MAY hafta build ME one! But I KNOW it won't be as cool as yours! It's the MOOK!!!!!!Again, JUS TOO COOL!!! Man am I glad your back!!!!

george 53 replied to Len Geisler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Len, Time Machine Resins has watcha need Bro! 67/8 hideaway headlight grille, PN#0004 or an open faced grille(w/headlights) PN #0005 He does some nice clean castings too. Hope this helps ya out. -
HoooooWeee, that's definately one MEAN lookin sucker! Too bad the 09 Camaro is such an UGLY CAR! You sure did a heckava job on it though, GREAT paint job,an I really like the idea, you'd never guess it was a snapper!!!
-
I gotta agree, the paint is awesome! but whats with the front tires? All the Air ride suspensions I've ever seen don't do anything like that. But it sure do look good! NICE BUILD!!!

Pimp Mobile engine?
george 53 replied to ZIL 111V's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Paul, now that I think about it,If you cut the Turbo 400 Automatic trans off of a MPC Chevy Big Block of around the same years, you could mount it to your Pontiac block an viola! you got an automatic! I KNOW this'll work caz I've done it. Jus make sure your cuts are nice an straight. Line up the center seam on the trans, with the center seam on the block, make sure the crankshaft line is even with the trans tailshaft an you SHOULD be good ta go! -
Pimp Mobile engine?
george 53 replied to ZIL 111V's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah Paul, to seriously answer your question,ANY MPC based Pontiac block an tranny(They are usually 4 spds) will fit. That kit has a "Generic" G.M. chassis, so the engine from the 72 GTO will drop right in. Although I can't see "SuperFly" shifting a manual trans. Too much work. "course, less he got one a his Ho's drivin, wat ain't too likely! -
Welcome Anthony. Yep, you shore cum ta tha rite place,Daddy-O. These guys here are the BEST in tha world, NO KIDDING! If ya can't learn from these guys, your braindead! But Assuming your alive, just ask questions, give an answer(if you know it,heck even if ya don't a guess MAY work)an generally just join in, no one here bites. At least I haven't seen anyone bite! (Jus don't ask wierd computer related questions, caz these things make me CRAZIER than I already am!!!)
-
Naw,Sam, you ain't wrong, It's the AMT 67 Shelby Mustang. It's a GOOD lookin one, regardless of the year, Real nice build,Krishna, looks downright Tuff in that color!
-
Oh Yeah,Fuje, you got that right! Since they changed, they HAVE gone downhill! They USED ta show those neet races from OZ an them little cars were REAL screamers! I sure do miss watchin them.Nick F-40 turned me onto the EARLY mornin races(like 2:00 or 3 in tha mornin!) when they do still show them, but again, I haven't figgered out how to record them. Time ta call Joy again!!!
-
Dave, yer jus bein nice,Bro. You KNOW if a PINKIE primer IS available,The Capt'n 'll know ALL about it!!!! Jus ask the "Skwerrlmiester"!!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Oh, an WELCOME Neil,To the BEST model forum ON THE PLANET!

Oh Yeah! we're in for another sweet ride!!! I jus like how you do things,Raul. They just seem to flow out SOOOO nicely! The rear end will look GOOD with those tailight openings.Remindes me of an early 2000 Caddy DTS.(De Ville). You sure gotta way with pick-up's if I do say so myself! It's GREAT to see another "work of wonder" commin off your bench Raul. It'll be another KILLER too, if all goes as usual!

Pimp Mobile engine?
george 53 replied to ZIL 111V's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yep,Paul, Any Pontiac engine'll fit 'cept a 6 Caz you KNOW NO spectable pimp gonna drive nuttin but a V-8! Less it a V-10,or 12! A man gotta keep up apperances!!! -
Terry, as the owner of both a 69 Camaro, AND a 95 Impala SS, I can tell ya you'll HAFTA ditch the Air Baffleing system,( the home plate lookin thingie on top the engine!) caz it AIN'T gonna fit WITHOUT butcherin up the Radiator support. The block'll mount with NO problems, it's just that filter system that takes up all the room.Nothing you can't fix, but it is a hassle!
