  1. Dave, duhhhh.... you may have mentioned it, but since I wasn't takein notes, but HOW did you make the body? Could you graft the REAR of an AMT 32 Pheaton to the FRONT of Revelograms 32 roadster? This looks like a neat kit to try to build,as I've heard the Lindburg 32 RPU isn't all that hot. Plus, I jus like cuttin up stuff. Now that I think of it, couldn't you just mod the whole thing from the Pheaton? I know the lower front edges of ALL of AMT's 32's are wrong, so I guess you'd be in for just a little more work, but ya think it would fly? Jus an idea I had, BUT,since YOU brought it up, I thunked I might throw out a monkey wrench into the mix. Whaddaya thunk?????
  2. HOLY SHAMOLEY Don, that lil Rod is downright SWEET!!!! I'm with Harry on this one Daddy-O, the first pic REALLY DOES look real! Only thing I could see that was obvious to me were no valvestems, but other than that,This bad boy is DEAD ON!! You did a GREAT job on this one for sure!!!
  3. Aww Jeeze Dave, you've gone on ANOTHER flight of fanasy eh? Funny how well those peices look so well together, Did you use the coupe kit, or the panel truck? Either way, it looks good! Can't wait ta see it in color, caz ya sure do gotta flair for pickin 'em! I'm definately likein this rascal, so I'll be watchin! You Go, Daddy-O
  4. John,John,John, I gottsta be "greein wit da Led man on this, PINK Dressers, AND now,FINGERY PAINT???? Man. Debbies got ya RIGHT where she wants ya!!!( Oh, but he's SOOO gentle!) Ya, rite!!! Ta be honest witcha,(an when ain't I?) I kinda likeded the GREEN primer! But then agin Olive Drab IS onna my favorite colors(OLD habits die hard!) an them Cragares woulda looked good, all nice an shiney against that drab paint! She's lookin good Daddy-O, hope ta see ya at the Ol A&W!!
  5. Awrite Rick!!!! Death Proof is one of my FAVORITE flicks! 'Sides we got WAY TOO MANY DoH Chargers! I mean, how many times we gotta see THE SAME CAR, over an over again! Problem is, ONE looks just like the OTHER! Besides, after owning a 69 R/T I couldn't stand that stupid show. I really DON'T understand the mystique of it. I'm not too crazy about shows that stereotype people, an THAT show DIDN'T do much for Southern folk!!! Now, the Death Proof Charger is TOTALLY unique! I loved the movie AND the car! It had a great plot and GREAT cars! I hope you get this one right on, caz it IS such a cool ride. Too bad it got to bite it in the end,But it STILL din't get as tore up as poor Ol Stuntman Mike!!! NEVER mess with a pished off chic!!!!!!(or 3)
  6. Neil, GREAT JOB! Looks good. Wish I could have that many babes around MY cars! Although, the busty blonde does look like my sister-in-law! Hey, she lives in Panama City, so who knows, maybe it IS her! Them Pepsi cans look more like Fosters Ale cans, you know, the Quart cans? That really came out great! I really think it's cool!!!
  7. WOW what a GREAT concept! You sure did it right, looks like it was real! You say it's the AMT Chally? In another post, on of our brothers built it stock, and his had that ill fitting front facia also. Now I know his wasn't a fluke, an that front end DOES fit that badly. Nothing that can't be fixed, but then again, WHY is it even like that. Your lil Chally came out nice! If it were REAL it'd be a KILLER!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!
  8. Now THAT'S a HotRod!!!! Pure, simple,an Bad as hale! My Big Brudder had a freind, Lyle Pegouski, who had one jus like that only it was dirty Primer Black, a GREAT color. It's one of the first times I had seen a Flattie out inna open, rather than between a Ford/Merc's fenders. GREAT BUILD, brings back ALOT of happy memories!
  9. That's GREAT news Eelco, My BEST WISHES to you and your wife! Kids are GREAT!!!! Hopefully you can get them into models, My daughter used to build with me till she found out about boys, around 12/13. I still have her cars on my shelves, to show her kids sometime inna future. Have as much fun as you can EL, they'll grow up on you SO fast, then give ya Grandkids that you can REALLY spoil (payback is a MUG!!!!) So very happy for ya, God Bless you's ALL!
  10. Beautiful lil Truck, Tom. Great color an wheel choice too. RMR does some REALLY interesting stuff. I have his Catapillar Excavator, Yeesh, talk about ALOT of parts, but I've seen his built up one, an I just hadta have it! Great lookin lil Chebby!!!!
  11. Nick, regardless of your skill level, you should build for YOURSELF!!!!!!!! I just can't think of a young builder who can build at a proffesional level, much less please EVERYBODY! This is a hobby of relaxation. If you build ONLY for competition, your gonna be dissapointed. Do it for yourself, learn with each new build, an if it makes you happy, then who cares if someone else doesn't like it. I don't really care for ANY Mustang built after 1970, but that don't keep me from buildin em, i just don't build alot of 'em. Get used to critisim, they's ALWAYS gonna be SOMEONE who THINKS they can do better. So who cares. You yourself should be happy with your builds regardless of who does or doesn't like your work. You build to make yourself happy, an if someone should admire your work, all the better. Don't EVER worry about what someone thinks of your effort, unless your PURPOSELY building for THEM. There's alot of young guys on here that can build ALOT better than me, It don't phase me at all. For example, Mike (Raisin) Garrett, he's ONLY been building for about 5 years(his estamate, not mine), but he's gotta be 1'000 light years BETTER than me, an I been playin with these cars for 50 YEARS!!!!!! I just get all fuzzy an warm inside when I see some of his builds, they'r SO pretty. Jus makes me wanna do a better job next time. I could care less if anyone likes my builds, as I've ALWAYS built for myself, and if I like it,tuff for who don't. Anyone who tears your builds down probly jus was jealous that you beat him to the punch on an idea, or he tried it, an couldn't do as well as you did. Don't worry 'bout what folks think of your builds, ALL that is important is what YOU think of your builds! After all it's just a hobby, and they are, after all ONLY model cars. Just enjoy yourself an have fun! ( an another Pepsi, if ya want)
  12. Dave, those shocks came out nice, but, you GOTTA take the Revellogram B/S that's in front of the gas tank off. All your hard work will be for naught if the judges see it! Stuff like that can make or break a model that's runnung for a win! Jus a hint of advice, no harm intended.
  13. BTBB, Thats a GREAT lookin Charger!(68/69/70's are my FAVORITE years!) Nice paint,an clean building will always produce a nice model, this just proves it! Did the decals come with it? I've got a coupla Landy Chargers, but I've never seen those decals. Real nice build. Oh, an not to be rude, but couldja but your REAL name in your sig, It's alot freindlier than jus puttin BTBB333,if ya know what I mean, an it IS a rule here. Just keeps everything on a freindlier basis.
  14. Harry, that ain't no dog, THAT'S a CONSTRUCTION PROJECT!!!!! Around here it's just Doggie,Bun, Mustard ,Ketchup an Relish. How do you actually TASTE the doggie with all that other stuff? I'm the kinda guy who can't STAND to eat sloppy food. I stay way from Whoppers AND Big Macs for the same reason. BUT, I'll eat a cheezy, gooey pepperoini pizza inna SECOND!!!! And I'm not really crazy about Chicago style pizza either. Ta be honest with ya Harry, Your about the ONLY thing I like about Chicago. My cousins live over on the Southside,an they got more gangs in that one area, that we got in the whole city! I'm jus glad they were mostly Chicanos! at least they called themselves the LATIN Counts!
  15. Looks GREAT as per your norm,Dave, but, ta be honest with you, I'da gone without the roof, it's just that cool!!!
  16. Whaaaa, poor doggie jus wanted back in tha house! Probly jus wanted some love, poor doggie! Chicagoans DON'T put ketchup on their doggies? Oh how boreish!
  17. Wow, an never lost stride!!! Now she's a keeper John, any girl who can run 5k an STILL bring home cash is worth her weight in GOLD!!!!!!
  18. John, what a beautiful jewel! I love the holes cut into the fenders for valve access! Betcha this ol girl saw ALOT of action in her day. Still a GOOD LOOKIN ol girl!!!! ( how'd Deb do in her run?)
  19. WoW Walter Cronkite. I remember him from the CBS Evening News growing up. Him an the Huntley/Brinkley Report. Man I'm gettin old. How old was Walter? Musta been really up there, caz he'd been retired for years. Still, funny to see the folks I grew up with on TV all startin to pass. R.I.P. Mr. Cronkite, May God's Blessings go with you.
  20. Yeesh Jeff, your as bad as Stump! I couldn't help noticing that you made seat tracks. Do they work? Did you actually make them adjustable, as in working? It's comin along REAL nice Jeff, your doin a heckava job daddy-O!
  21. Harry, that was GREAT!!! Back inna drivers seat, kiddo! I could see the inner fender retaining bolts right behind the back of the front tire! If it was a model, it was a EXACTLY detailed one!!! GREAT choice this week,daddy-o, THANKS!!!!
  22. Moanin Harry! you sleep well? I hope so. Welp, Harry, Clay's been up longern me so you got 2 of us on yer a$$ first thing inna mornin! Unless Mike is hidein around here somewheres.(we ARE supposed to be incognito) But me an Clay, bein Marine's we don't do JACK incognito, we ALWAYS go all out. At least with the Corps, you know the sh8t is gonna hit the fan!!! So, it's that time again, Harry, my Brutha, RoM, Hit me Blood, HIT ME!!!!!!!
  23. Tom, that's a NICE color for that body! Does it come with an engine, or is it a curbside? Yeah, that front facia does fit pretty bad, is it just a mistake, or does it really look like it's too short in front of the front tires?. Anyways, your right, other than the front end, it looks like a nice kit. Please don't take offense, caz you did a REALLY nice job on it, but yeah, that front end IS really noticable.
