The hobbies come a LONG way, an you can spray a REALLY nice paint job without too much training. Just don't try to make it look like some of these paint jobs right away! These guys have gotten it down to an ART! Just read the instructions, and go slow, take your time. It'll come out nice if you just remember that it's a relaxing hobby, and there's no hurry to get it done. Ask questions, caz these guys are THE BEST!, and IF they can't answer a question, then there ISN'T one! Join in an enjoy the site, cas EVERONE here is always willing to help a fellow modeler out!
  5. Yeah you could probably use PLASTIC tubeing too! (DUH!) just had the aluminum so that s wat I used.
  6. Snork! snurz! NOPE I'M UP and at my Post! Yep all bright eyed an bushy tailed! Ok guys, we gonna do this? at the count of 3......... 1,2,..3,......HARRY, WAKE UP!!!! And hopefully Harry got enough sleep to be awake now! So wat it gone be like,Harry, RoM? HIT ME BROTHA! HIT ME!!! ( hope you slept well)
  7. Sean, take some aliminum tubing the size you want the holes to be, drill verticaly straight down into the fender, then epoxy/super glue the tubes into the body. Then, useing straight pins, insert them from the bottom, after you dull the ends, to the position you want them. then glue 'em in position, an viola! Sunken antennas! Maybe one of the guys gotta better way, but this works for me pretty good. Hope it helps somehow.
  8. Kevin, to be honest with ya, THAT'S how it's SUPPOSED to look! Look at the pic that Bill put in of Juha's Olds. That engine compartments at LEAST 4 Ft. wide! So if the engine LOOKS dwarfed by the engine compartment, it's only cas it IS!!!! So don't worry, go head and use the 442 engine ,as that IS the proper size block for it.
  9. WoW THANKS Harry, at this rate I MIGHT damwell be IMMORTAL!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!
  10. You guys remember that funny thin lady that was her sidekick? And her daddy was the Capt.of an Oceanliner? Wow, 87! yeeesh, I thought she had died DECADES ago. Do you guys think all this death talk is gettin a bit morbid? I wonder who's next? Sure hope it ain't ME!!!
  11. WHA????? My Little Margie???!!!! She was "Oh, Susanna" Too wasn't she? Man how OLD was she????
  12. OOOOW, CDB , nice build Bro, but, bein an old fart, I JUST CAN'T get into those wheels! Your ALOT younger than me I suppose, caz I remember those cars in the dealerships, and wheels like those were NEVER intended to be on cars like that! But, it doesn't take a thing away from your build, that's just MY take. See you can tell the generations apart by what they like, but to me, a Muscle Car is a MUSCLE car, NOT a hoopty, besides, he'd NEVER win a street race on them tires, he'd fry 'em to the rims before he got ANY worthwhile sorta traction! Just my crummy opinion, NOT a condemnation! Cas like I said, other than the wheels, I think it's a great build!
  13. Sup Tom?, welcome! your home now, so jus sit back, relax an join in the fun, caz it's ALL GOOD!!!!

Your builds are so far out there,I just wanna stick the keys in 'em an drive 'em away( yeah that's right, bein from Deeetroit, I'd just take 'em for a "spin" ) The green is wicked lookin, and I know the ride will be JUST as wicked! Great job,Daddy-O, that ride can sure cut some ice with me!!!
  21. Yeah, an now I heard the FDA wantsta ban Vicoden AND Demoral! Wats next? Tootsie Rolls???? I'm begining ta think the Gub'ment don't like me!!!

  23. I like the way you did the scoop! Now to me,THAT'S modeling. It's funny to me how you saw a scoop in a Star Trek stand! That's thinkin outside the box! Your models look pretty good for bein gone for so long, Just keep it up, you'll be back in form in no time, great builds!
  24. Art's just bein humble,Steve. If you REALLY look at ANY R&R model they're not near as nice as AAM was. AAM's kits were finished INSIDE and OUT,Just like a model kit.Ray's stuff is NEVER that well done! You'll find pinholes an thin spots on the majority of the models I've bought from R&R. Also alot of clean up around the windows and wheel wells. I bought only 4 models from AAM but they were reasonably priced and VERY well done! Since I buy them to build, I don't fuss too much over these things, as I can clean them up and do what it takes to build them. BUT they don't go together like AAM's did. ALOT of trial fitting is usaually nessecary to get interior buckets to fit, Windows to lay properly, an various little things like that. AAM's didn't. I still buy R&R kits, I just got 2 of his 70 Buick GSX's earlier this year! They're the ONLY ones available in 25th scale. Recently I turned onto Motor City Resincasters and so far this year I've bought 3 of them. They are like night and day,as far as fit, finish, and casting quality are concered. Ray's got ALOT of kits, close to 100 I'd say, so maybe he's just too busy to do these things, but I'd never compare his castings to AAM's or Motor City's castings. I'd even go so far to say MCR are even more well done than the Modelhaus's kits! It'll be nice when they release other kits, so far they seem to be concentrating on Ford products, but I do beleive the quality will be there, regardless of the model. Just try 'em and you'll see what I mean!
