  1. WoW Flor! glad you made it thru the first coupla days my man! Don't worry if some folks don't understand the model thing, cause your frens probly do. I know most of mine did! Some of my buds from GRADE school still know I build models an have gotten over it! I've even built models for them! Enjoy school an your frens while you can, lil bro, Life starts up pretty quickly once you get out, have a good time with your life while you can, Adulthood an responsibilitys come attcha pretty fast, and you gotta do the best you can, or it'll suck BIG TIME! Hope the year gos well for ya!
  2. Guys, Ray or Ruth may answer the phone,BUT he won't sell you anything. He has Star models handle ALL of his mail orders. He DOES NOT sell from his home! Your best bet is to try catching him at one of the toy shows he attends. You could call him and ask where he might be showing up next, But he's not in the best of health and he usually just goes to shows near his house. He lives in/near Flint, Mich.
  3. DUUUUHHHH, so your BALD? ya know some trucker named url, an ebay is now a footlocker? The tourgroups gettin away agin!Wait up!
  4. Hokay then, what DOES E-Bay stand for, what is a URL, an WHAT COLOR is your hair now?
  5. AHA! got it down, Daddy-O! What gave it away for me was the shadow of the rear bumper on the ground. The gap between the bumper an the quarter panel is TOO real not to notice. Then I saw those 56 Packard tailights, an for some reason that clinched it for me. It's a BEAUTIFUL car, something I'd expect to see at the AutoRama. Just too cool!A GREAT JOB Harry!
  6. OK Harry, I'm CALLIN YA OUT! It's 9:41 DEEEEtroit time an Chi-Town ain't that far away! Don't do me like this Harry! I've been upsince 7:00 an I'ma waitin on ya Bud! a little shakey, but I'm out here, WAITING! ( Hit me, brother, HIT ME!!!!)
  7. WoW Ed, great save is kinda an understatement! No wonder Brendan is doing so well! If he can follow you an Will, We got nothin to worry about for our future of the hobby! Like 84Van said, GREAT SAVE!
  8. Thats Right! You were at the Monterey Historic, this past weekend! Man Gregg, some pics in the Magazine would be a cool way to let us in on it! Or heck, just run a few on here! Musta been a GREAT time, I envy you!
  9. You guy's from Deeetroit? Looks like a real scene from around here! Great way to show the son a new way to have fun with models. It came out great! Look out Pops, the kid may end up outbuilding YOU! Great Dio!
  10. Great builds Brendan! Your lucky to have your Dad,AND big Brudder to give you some advice! Your lookin like your gonna be a great modeler, so keep it up( you just might get better than Dad AND Will)!
  11. Clay, If you can get the outer rim off, squeeze the nub that come thru the center of the back half of the rim with a pair of tweezers to get the nub to slip out of the rim. there should be a slot cut vertically into the nub just squeeze the sides of the nub an pull the wheel back off.
  12. Well E-Man, the first stuff(the clear, I think) says it's an acrylic, so I don't really see anything there that mighta caused the cracking, BUT, the Color paint says its some kind of modified resin. Maybe it needed more time to gass out? You'd think that with both paints beein by the same manufacturer they would be compatable. Who knows Bro, at least you now know NOT to try it again. I still think the pond is the only solition. Maybe one of the guys might be able to answer the compatability question.
  13. Well Clay, I was surprised at the truck beein as how I'm used ta seein cars on your bench.I mean it's a Semi an not a pick-up. But so far it's lookin good. At least they'll be able to see it whan it comes screamin up in the rearveiw mirror, seein how it's that LOOK AT ME NOW! orange! I likes it ! Semper Fi!
  14. Man, Iz, that's gonna be one really sharp lookin build! The color combo's are GREAT! BTW, when the cops found my Second 95 Impala SS that was stolen, it din't look anything like yours. It was literally stripped to the shell. It looked like a body in white, cept it was black! all that was left were the rear quarter glass,an backlite!(back window)the rest, even the insulation, was GONE!!!!! Truly a Profesional job!
  15. WoW E-Man, I have NEVER seen a clearcoat crack THAT BAD!!! Make sure your paints are compatable with each other.Like Bill jus said NEVER spray laquers over ANYTHING but laquers. I hate to echo Bill, but he's right, the only fix for that I'm afraid, is the ol Purple pond. What a shame! the car looks pretty nice.
  16. ######'n, Afta Livin in Deeetroit all me life, workin in Deeetrot fo TOO frickin long(southwest and Northeast) and Givin the General 32 years o' my life an da Marines 36 months, you'd be zuprised at wat I can do! But NO, I ain't yo Daddy, Grampa, or Unkly,Jus yo fren, an if you ain't luky, I'll move in witchu wen the ol' lady throes me out an we'll be ROOMIES! But I guess it don change nuttin, cuz the Lil Tee is finally done, under glass,An LOOKEEN GOOOOOT! I am prout o' u MY MAN!!!!!!! (oh yeah,It's called a TIME PARADOX,an it's NOT SUPPOSED to happen,BUT it DOES)
  17. OOOOOOOO That's purty! Even in primer it looks nice an smooth! The lines flow so nicely! Don't be suprised, Dave, if some 1/1 car customizer sees an copies that bad boy! Looks smoother an less cluttered an that 579, or678, or WHATEVER that other ugly thing is called! Don't stop huggin 'em trees, cuz this ones comin out great too!
  18. See Stump?,I tolcha Nick would like the color! Oh, and if I hadn't mentioned it before, THE WHEELS MAKE the car!!!!
  19. Bill, other than that ugly little Cimmeron thingie, When have you EVER seen a REAL Caddy what din't have a BIG A$$? We had a WHOLE PLANT full of 'em!!!!
  20. I stand corrected! Just talked to Bob, (My buddy from Chrysler) an he used to instal the rears into the cars on the line. He says, All HI-Perf engines came with Danas. Monacos an Newports with 440's came with 8 3/4 rears. If you ordered a B-Body, with a Hi-Perf Engine (440 Commando, Hemi,TnT Magnum, etc.) W 4spd, or TourqueFlite, you AUTOMATICALLY got a Dana, NO exceptions!
  21. Guy's ALL 440's and Hemi's came with the Dana Rear ends. The Revell kits were wrong to put 83/4 rears in the Hemi kits. They WEREN'T even an option! This was told to me by a good freind who used to work at the Chrysler plant here in Deeeetroit. The old Chrysler Main if I'm not mistaken, Right where MY plant is now built, Det/Hamtramck Cadillac Ass. Div.!
  22. Yep, It came out GREAT! The colors really rich lookin! And yes, the wheels look REAL GOOD on there. You've done a great job there, be proud of it, I would!
  23. What, am I followin Stump on ALL my replies? Oh well, it could be worse. But I still gotta agree with him, it looks great! Love the color, and the engine's N.O.S. system looks great too.Just an excelent build!Great Job!
  24. Yep,Kev,ya hit the nail on the head with this one! Has just the right "Look". Ya done real good kiddo, I likes this one, it, compared to the hearses youv'e, done show your varied building styles off rite nicely!Came out REAL Nice&Smooth! An I agree with Bluesman, take somemore pics outside so's we can see that color better!
