  1. Eric, is there any way to see these new items?
  2. Speed City's 66 Dart IS the only one around. Not badly priced either I must say! I have their 67 Buick Skylark, and it's very nicely done. From the pictures, the Dart looks pretty complete.
  3. Ok, I saw Rob's reply just now, an it's NOT a 24th scale kit, but a 1/22nd scale??? Ohhh that sucks!!!
  4. AS far as looks go, I'd have to see the kit, but honestly, they ARE Taxi's and they do only have a 4 cylinder manual trans. The interior is JUST as bare, with a back bench seat, an a little flip down seat. Not a whole lot of stuff to begin with. I'mma get one caz they just look cool and weird,I like weird.
  5. Welcome back, Dave! Rom was right when he said things have changed, But, like he also said, I think you'll like them!
  6. Im High school, in 1969, My freind, Grady Stephensen, had a 69 Coronet R/T convertable. He wrecked it in the front. When it was repaired, He had them put a 69 Charger front end on it. It fit PERFECTLY, Flowed with the body lines, and was in fact a VERY beautiful car design! It's STILL a wonder to me WHY Dodge didn't go after this design. It was just a flat out BEAUTIFUL car!!! And I have NEVER seen another, not even in scale!!!
  7. Art, the 90's Cadillacs had no chrome trim around the windshield/backlite , and the moulding was attached directly to the glass. I did this job for about 10 years. Now, it's called Window Lace Moulding, and it is a rubber/vynil type of trim, but it's the norm now. Some cars still use a chrome trim moulding, but it is installed after the glass is in place.
  8. If all it takes is an E-Mail campaign to Jimmy to cast it, I'm CERTAINLY game! I'm up for it!!!
  9. That's where the aircleaner sits. my across the street neighbor just bought one of these in August! I drove it an it'sa WEIRD feeling driveing from the RIGHT side of the car. His is a 1966 Austin. He wants to hot rod it.
  10. OWWWW that green HURTS! It's like somethin ya CAN'T UNSEE!!!!
  11. I built Cadillacs for 32 years, an THAT'S the BEST Cadillac model interior I've ever seen! You did a commendably excellent job on that rascal! If the rest of it comes to that level, you'll REALLY have you a BEAUTIFUL model Cadillac!!! :D
  12. Gotta agree with Chuck here. BUT if it's the ONLY game in town, you may have to go with it. I have a Die Cast Bank of Lee Petty's Racecar that I m wanting to convert to a hot rod. It'sa ol Plymouth Buisness Coupe, I THINK. It didn't come with a backseat, but i don't know if the real car had one or not, OR if it's just caz it'sa bank? But THAT'S the ONLY early 50's Plymouth I've ever seen of THAT style. There may be some others out there, but I've never had the opporutunity to see them.
  13. If you get their seasonal fliers they do go on "Sale" but it's only a 10/20 buck difference. Not REALLY a sale, but t beats their normal prices. Just like they 're normally priced at 129 now, and go up from there, they do discount the older out of production cars occasionally, but they're still NEVER less than a hundred bucks.
  14. REAL! Oh, sorry, wrong contest.....my bad.
  15. I'm like Rodney, I'll build them because they're there TO build, but Im still a model scale bigot. 1/25 IS my normal scale. I'll build 24th IF I can't find it in 24th, but i don't really care for the scale difference, which IS noticable to me. With the aircraft, the difference isn't noticable, caz compared to cars, they ARE bigger. But that's the scale I preffer, so if it's in 25thscale, chances are I do have it, no matter how weird it is.
  16. Gregg, if you now spray it black, or body color, should have taken care of that transparent look, yes?
  17. I have one, and it seems so complicated to use, I never have. If you DO do a "How To' Peter, I for one would be VERY interested.
  18. Guys, I hope you ALL have the MERRIEST of Christmases! May the blessings of Almighty God be upon you and yours this season, and I wish you ALL a Happy New Year too!!! Thanks for puttin up with us for ANOTHER year,Gregg! God Bless you an Kelly!
  19. Says who? I'd buy it even if it was built! Just don't think it's worth that price. Not to ME at least.
  20. Thank youCharles, for that beautiful Christmas tale. I HAD always wondered as a youth, how DID that little angel get WAAAAAAY up there. Now I know. Merry Christmas Chuck, and ALL my forum brothers!!!!
  21. Someone's just sittin back waiting to snipe it!
  22. He's not kiddin, that's the trans in the M-1A1 Abrams! (but I AM!)
  23. Terry, I hate to differ with you, but have you PRICED a 24th scale Aircraft kit? Even the old Airfix kits are close to 100.00 off sale. ON sale, you STILL gonna EASY pay 60 bucks. My last Aircraft kit, Airfixes 1/24th scale DeHaviland Mosquito cost me 160.00 ON SALE!. Trumpeters kits NEVER sell for less that 100.oo bucks, even on sale! I have at least 12 24th aircraft kits, They are BEAUTIFULLY detailed, and alot of it won't be seen after it's assembled, but it's there!
  24. Nope. Weasel, I'm that way too. LOVE to start 'em, but once I get to finishin 'em up, I get bored with it, I did every thing I wanted to do to it, so why not build it? I dunno, i just get bored with it, an start something else. I haven't FINISHED a model in years. I guess I like to start new stuff, but get kinda bored fast, so I'll start something else. Might be just us, but who knows how many of "us" are out there!
  25. Harry, I voted model, then I SAW the driver. Nope, can't play if it's OBVIOUS. So i just eliminated my vote.
