One of the casters over at DRAG has a couple . MAYBE if we asked real nice, we could persude him into tryin to cast one. I have two, and the interiors ARE defininately toylike, so we'd have to fab an interior IF we wanted to keep the price reasonable. But IF he gets enough interest in it, it MIGHT be doable. MAYBE. You guys think there's any interest in one? would it be worth his time? If we ask nice?

Need some help/advice
george 53 replied to chris coller's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
There IS no way to REUSE already USED decals. IF you can get them OFF a model in one piece, they WILL NOT go on another model and look right. IF you can even get them to stay in place. MAYBE while they're STILL WET from application, you MAY be able to repostion them. but AFTER they've DRIED an SET, don't even THINK you can get 'em off and RE use them. Sorry. -

What's with the Gremlin?
george 53 replied to Matt Bacon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Matt, American's are kinda weird when it comes to their cars. We sometimes tend to "Humanize" them. We'll reffer to them as"She's" an Girls'll reffer to them as "He's". We tend to do ALOT in our cars. Live in them. start families in them, and MISS them when they are no longer ours. Cars are a PART of the American way of life. WE may have INVENTED "HotRods" but the rest of the world sure picked up on our GREAT idea PRETTY GOOD!!!!! -

Do you remember "BIG AL" ?
george 53 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, late 60's Orangeish 34 sedan. had a V-12 cylinder Allison aircraft engine. Nice car. -
VERY nice, clean build. REAL nice. Other than what Gordon noticed, the shifter IS in backwards, I see NOTHING that looks out of place. Clean straight build. Looks like it SHOULD! great job!

doing trades with MCM members
george 53 replied to route66modeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ok THIS may NOT comply with the TRADEING aspect of this thread, BUT sometimes when guys just ASK for stuff, I tend to send things because A. I have it., B. caz I KNOW I'll NEVER use it, and if they ask what I want/need for trade, I tell them nothing, just do ANOTHER modeler a favor when you can. I just gave away a hood, and a flip front end. I cost me 10 bucks(almost, 9.58) to GIVE stuff away. I'm retired and on a pension, and I can NO LONGER just give stuff away. So if you DO ask for something, at least OFFER to pay for shipping ,at least. It you need it, and you can afford it, OFFER to pay the shipping charges on whatever you want.I would NEVER ask for a repay, caz to ME, that's part of helping. But I just can't afford it anymore. I'm sure there are other here who WANT to help, but we just can't pay to GIVE stuff away. Hope I didn't ruffle any feathers, but, fair is fair, and some of us just can't AFFORD to give stuff away, even though we WANT to help. 5 bucks may NOT be alot to some, but it adds up. Believe it or not.
