  1. Mine does too. I haven't seen any other type of truck. Does UPS use those old square Carry-all GM box trucks? I've never seen any but the kind that Tom's building here.
  2. TOED tenny's?????? Yeesh....there's one born every minute.....
  3. I have Eddie Schartmann's Maverick Pro stock, it has a Boss 429. Could you show us what the 427 covers look like? I've never seen any either.
  4. MAD's Dizzy's are THE way to go. VERY well done and you COULDN'T make them as nice for TWICE the price. No foolin, they're THAT nice!!!
  5. Saw on the news Pinnellas Park Cops go around shooting Nutria at night. HOPE they're crack shots, caz the better not miss! they were drivein along the CITY streets, shooting them out the back of a pickup!!! We got crazies around here too, but they DON'T wear their uniforms when they go out shootin!! Guess there's plusses an minusis EVERYwhere we go! Jim, over here there ain't 10,000 NVA or Charlie tryin ta kill ME, so Yeah Bro, it DOES get better than THAT!!!!!
  6. Words of WISDOM! IF you've NEVER used P/E before, LISTEN to the man, He'll do you RIGHT!!!
  7. Dam,Jim. I'm glad your even still ALIVE bro! If you needed to make the move, then that's just for the best. Me, I LIKE it here. Ain't NUTHIN down there makes me wanna MOVE there. My In-Laws still live there, so, like I said, It's NICE place to VISIT, ........
  8. Depends on how ya look at it Virge. I don't worry about alligators in my HOUSE and some stupid law tellin me I CAN'T kill the darn thing if it's IN MY KITCHEN!!!! Saw THAT stupidity on the News!!! No fireants, or scorpions or those big ol rat like nutria. So Paradise is all in how you look at it. I'll take the snow BEFORE i put up with those kindsa things.
  9. You talk like you were BORN there Jim. YOU were once a visitor too. Fla. is too hot for me. I was born here, I LIKE the snow. Age hasn't changed a thing, I STILL like the snow. Have disliked the heat since I left Viet Nam. Some things NEVER change.
  10. Put this same chassis under a chopped 32 sedan. Worked GREAT. The Ferrari engine an transaxle are also a GREAT idea!!! and they fit beautifully inside the framerails. This is gonna be cool as all get out!!!
  11. Like I said Jim, Nice place ta visit.......
  12. WOW!!!!! That thing is FANTASTIC already!!!! Yeesh, it's actually TOO cool! Hope to see it finished up!!!
  13. WELCOME BACK, Robert! You sure sharpened up real fast,Daddy-O! REALLY nice job for a 30 years lull! Came out real sharp.
  14. Your right there Chuck. There IS no trim on the hood of the AMT 66 Mustang. OR the 65 for that matter.
  15. Antoinio Rios, Mr.Bigg. I saw his "300"semi truck in the Magazine, and I was SOOOOO taken by it, I went to Toledo JUST to see it. I had quit goin to Toledo caz it'sa MADHOUSE. i went VERY early on and did NOT like it. So I quit going. But when i saw Tony's "300' I just HAD to see it in person. THAT was my LUCKY day,. Because I met Tony, Santiago Hernandez, Bill Geary, And a few other MASTER modelers who took me into their circle and showed me what i had been missing all these years.I even met Steve Perry there, who's one of the BEST modelers out there, and he turned me on to the DMCC( THANKS,brother Steve!), the Model car club I joined that same month! I haven't missed the Toledo NNl's since!
  16. Harry, Up here is MANLY country. Can't make NO excuses for that. Florida is nice, but..........
  17. Ed, thanks for the offer, i KNOW your good for it! But if I wanted to get rid of it, it LOOKS like some foo out there might give me a coupla hunert for it! It would serve them right! I DO kinda wonder WHAT kinda excuse he'd give the missus for it though. Heck if he can spend 600 bucks for a model, shoot, he AIN'T married!!!!
  18. To 38 people it MUST be!!! Silly fools, all they gotta do is look around, and they mighta been able to get it for 200 bucks cheaper. There's one born EVERY minute. I have that kit, and only paid 25 bucks for it. THANK GOD for toyshows!!!
  19. Is the BUS 24th scale too? i mean REAL 24th and not like the 24th the Taxi is? Caz I was lookin forward to that one too.
  20. THANK you Ken, this stuff is too interesting!
  21. WOW!!!! What scale are you building it in???? THIS is GREAT!!! How did you laminate the sheets and keep them from warping? Everytime I try something like this, the panels warp on me. What kind of glue do you use? I use Ambrose liquid cement. What is the thickness of the plastic your useing? Sorry to ask so many questions, but it's the only way to learn. Thanks!
  22. WHY does it have a split upper lower back window? I guess they're tryin to stay in step with it's weirdness. Still an ugly whatever. Marano in spanish mean Pig. Maybe NOT quite the same word, but surely the same meaning.
  23. Chuck, Chuck Miller built this little truck in a small shop off of Jefferson Ave, in River Rouge, called "Styline Customs" In 1969 or so he introduced this car at the Detroit Autorama, My sister olga modeled with this car at that show. i did little odd jobs for him years later at the shop.Buffing cars out, doin the chrome polishing, little stuff like that. But it was good expierience. The car still exists, it's owned by a guy in Florida now. It was at this years AutoRama.(2011)
  24. Under the skin they're the same car. We built the Buick, Chevy and Olds B bodies on the Cadillac assembly line at Fleetwood.
