  2. Thank You Art. THAT was the biggest give away. there were THREE lights per side on Impala's, biskits only had two.
  3. WOw Zak, when you said EXTRACTORS, I was thinkin of the vents that were on the upper front fenders of Trans Am pontiacs! Over here, we call those pipes headers. Never ever heard of 'em called anything but. But hey, I guess your right, caz that's CERTAINLY what they do! THANKS for the tute, it's GREAT!
  4. Manny, that turquioes 68 GTO convertable was my buddy Nick Raggozino's First car outta high school! MAN that brings back some GREAT memories!!! Thanks for postin it!!!!
  5. Kris, if it PAYS you, yes it's work, IF you ENJOY it, welp THAT'S a PLUS also!! You and the others at DRAG do OUTSTANDING work, and it IS GREATLY appericiated!!! (Even if ya DO gotta put up with Jeff an Kev!!!)
  6. I've been building for over 50 years, and I STILL learn things from seeing others building techniques. Learning NEVER stops. BUT one can be SO disenchanted by the wrong remarks, no matter HOW well put. IF the build is nice, OK let him know, It MAY help the builder strive to get better. HOW you word your advice and opinion can be VERY helpful OR hurtful to a budding builder. I try to think of the builders skills, age , an at WHAT they built before I comment. Sometimes you can judge someones age by WHAT they've built. I don't expect to see a 16 year old kid do a slam bang job onna 69 Charger simply caz he doesn't know what they were like to see IN THE FLESH, or steel as it were. Guys get into the hobby for various reasons, Me, caz I LIKE cars, others want to see what they can accomplish with plastic, and still others just go off on their own tangent and SCRATCH build their cars. But it DOES help to KNOW just WHAT your building, so you can add the things to it that may not have come with the kit.I try to be helpful in my advice, but if I see a badly built model, I keep my mouth shut. There's TOO many guys here that don't care, or who's opinion of themselve ELEVATE them above the others, and THEY can't help but point flaws out inna kids or beginners model. I'll just let them be who they are, and keep my opinions to myself. After all, we ALL have one.
  7. You rascal you, THAT is thinkin outside the box. I surely do like it!!! Came out GREAT!!!!
  8. Ok Walter, where is Bombala? Are you from Oz???? The Sharkmobile is TOO cool!!!
  9. Bill, if that's the same bike that came as parts in various kits in 62 or so, it can't be built as a chopper. There's no fork for it. It CAN be built as a stock or cafe racer, or as a stock bike with the monkey handle bars, but unfortunalely it's a few years too old to be a chopper. You could cut the fork tube and let set it at a better rake/angle, but you'd have to do it yourself. I THINK choppers came outta Cali around the mid/late 60's, so this bike is a bit early to be a chopper. But it IS a nice bike. I have one built as a stock version.
  10. The red Hubley Mercedes that I have Ed is NOT friction powered. It IS a curbside, but it didn't come with a flywheel or motor. It is just a static model.
  11. Are these body's available to the general public? and if so, could we have an addy for this gentleman??? Thank You.
  12. If you want a 70 Montego, and NOT Cyclone, just go to Missing Link resin casters(Part of DRAG) and see Kevins Montego. It is a GENUINE Montego, not a Cyclone, and he uses a resin that looks EXACTLY like Styrene plastic. I had to mark the resin peices with a Magic marker to tell them apart.I believe the cost is around 65 bucks or so, MUCH cheaper and ALOT LESS work that trying to find and convert a plastic kit!!! Hth!
  13. Those are BEAUTIFUL wheels! You an Karsten did a GREAT job on it. He's gonna be a GREAT builder with you teachin him! GREAT job!!!! :D
  14. Why would you use a 69 Torino? they aren't even the same body style. Just askin......?
  15. Dave put it in the reveues so we can check it out,ok? I'd like to see it. Oh, an guys, I post at least once every day in various threads. Seems ta be the same to me.

  20. Everybody gots to start somewhere,Alex. At least you picked up a popular one to start with! You can get ALL kindsa info on these rascals(Hemi Cuda's), so being able to build an accurate one shouldn't be too difficult. You go,young man, and give it your best shot. In NO time you'll be showin some of us up! Glad you've come up to full glue type kits! This is ONLY the begining!!!!
