  1. Jimmy Flintstone make a Wurlitzer type lookin jukebox, but it's cast as a solid block. You could probably ream it out with a Dremel to get it hollowed out inside. I've seen these dun up with BMF and candy paints an MAN do they come out lookin GREAT! Your idea is a killer one. I LIKE it!!!!
  2. Don't know if we even still have E-model cars. It's been offline for a while now.
  3. OW that sounds painful, Tom! Glad your gettin around again! Stay with your rehab. I blew my kneecap out 20 years ago, they tried to tell me I'd never be the same. My Dr. was suprised when after 9 months of therapy, i had 90% mobility back. Just can't run as fast as I used to, but maybe age has somethin to do with it too! GLAD your back!!!
  4. Real life, or real life expieriences. I'll never build or built a model that wasn't realistic. I never liked Dave Deals Wheels for that reason. I won't build fantasy stuff as it's not my thing. i like real life type cars. At least the ones I grew up with. That boat dio is museum quality, in my opinion!
  5. As much as i just LOVE that truck, there's no way I'd try to make it from paper! I'd find some old 40's or 50's truck model I could maybe use for the cab, Then go with plastic. I'd never try to put a paper model together. Not EVEN familiar with useing paper to build models. Oh, I built a Mac Donalds paper Hambugler car once, years ago, for my nephew , but that's it.
  6. Wasn't all that great a movie Rick, but it did have Tim Tommerson as a head nutjob.Kinda funny if IRC.
  7. THANK YOU, Darin! THAT was a GREAT tute! It looks like it'll work on just about any ride! Great pics.
  8. ANY big block in 25th scale will fit tha bill. ALL big block Chevy's are identical from the outside. You can't tell a 396 from a 402, 427,454 from the OUTSIDE if it's a factory block. Technically, you'd have to pull the heads to make sure by measureing the bores. At 25th scale, it isn't measureable, so ANY nicely cast Big Block Chevy will work. I like the Revell versions for a 4 spd, and the old MPC blocks for an automatic. Hth.
  9. Your MORE than welcome,Mike. I just wanted everyone to know that he's just slowed down a bit, NOT stopped, and personally, I think he's doin the right thing, so he doesn't get too swamped.
  10. The old MPC Mustang was 26th scale! NOT 25th as we always thought!!! You MAY have the ORIGINAL 69/70 AMT chassis in the box, because the wheel wells are drastically off! ALL the MPC 69/70 Mustangs I have are ALL evenly matched in the wheelhouse area. The 25th scale AMT 69/70 Mustangs ARE 25th scale, so that MAY be where the disparities may be coming in. The extra length of the 25th chassis is probably what may be throwing it off. They LOOK like the original 25th scale chassis. Hth.
  11. Guys, I gotta return call from muh Cuzzin Al overt "Ma's resins", an he's tellin me all is well with him, just hadda few things goin on in his life that kinda slowed him down on the buisness. He told me he's doin fine, and that he'll be back up an runnin in no time, BUT that he was gonna ask guys to hold orders till the 1st of july or so, just so's he can catch up on his back orders. Sounds like a plan to me. I told him i STILL be wantin some Drag Radials, and he told me the molds for them were cureing as we spoke! So to make it short, Cuzzin Al is STILL goin, just gotta bit of backlogged orders ta fill, an he'll be back before ya know it, sellin his QUALITY cast products for ALL of us to enjoy. I'm REALLY greatful that he did take time out of his busy day to CALL me and let me know all was well! THANKS Al, Your THE BEST, Cuz!!!!
  12. You got that right Ben! The more I look, the MORE I see!!! BEAUTIFUL execution of his idea!!!!
  13. Tim, the only one out there is the Polar Lights 65 Coronet. IF it's still in production. There's guys who don't like it, but it LOOKS like it should an it matches with the old AMT 65 Coronet, so who knows if it's "accurate" or not. It looks good to me.
  14. HOW did they do the tubeing at the rear of the trans??? That is the most detailed lil motor I've EVER seen!
  15. Really like the bulged quarters, Darin. Looks good! The chop is so subtle that if you hadn't mentioned it, you wouldn't notice it right away. NICE job.
  16. Definately like the way the engine looks in the chassis, I gotta admit that, bein a Chevy guy! Gotta get used to the rest of it though. I SEE HOT ROD all over it, just gotta get used to the tires i guess. Bein an ol fart, change takes time, but i like what i'm seeing! Nice, VERY DIFFERENT job!!!
  17. Too late now, but Kris Morgan overt DRAG has them in colors and pre wired, and they are VERY NICELY done. Check them out at the DRAG website!
  18. This is so well done it hurts to look at it! Man, it would take some bucks ta fix it up, but it'd HAVE ta be a labor of love. I like the headlight moulding brackets left on the radiator support. NICE job!
  19. We didn't build THAT many Talismans Steve. HOPEFULLY you MAY find one that wasn't all used up. Yes, they were BEAUTIFUL cars. Never saw very many on the road, but they sure did stand out. VERY nice car. Probably the prettiest Cadillac we ever built. Sorry to 'jack the thread,'Chell, but ain't too many folks ever HEARD of a Cadillac Talisman Option, much less OWN one.
  20. Chuck, the differences between a 67 an a 68 are VERY subtle, BUT THEY ARE noticeable!!! Cory, one of the members of DMCC, did that same conversion useing the 68 and let me tell ya, when put side by side, they are VERY noticeable! Cory used to do masters for JoHan, so he DOES know what he's doin. IF you gonna try it, your in for a lotta LITTLE detail work, like the lower fenderlines on the 67 that aren't there on the 68, plus the whole tail panel is different and placed lower down on the trunklid. MIGHT be better ta start with a 67 IF you can find one. Them rascals is kinda rare, that's why cory used the 68.
  21. Beautiful job. Had NO idea of it's size till you showed the dime! Excellent job!!!
  22. I'm not sure, Chell. If there IS someone out there who DOES this style I'd sure like one too. These were some BEAUTIFUL cars. I know, I BUILT them for 32 years!!!!
  23. Harold, Modelhaus does a full length bed with the bumper tailgate an tailights for about 20 bucks or so,maybe a bit cheaper, but with S&H , about 20 bucks. Anyway, it's probably the cheapest way to get what yer goin for, cause ALL those older MPC kits are gettin more an more expensive, an you may not get all the stuff you need from a built-up, or a gluebomb.
  24. I just try to make it look like the real thing. It doesn't have to match it bolt for bolt as such, but I like them to at least LOOK like you could drive it. If you were 25th scale, of course.
