  1. I remember the INSIDES were painted black fiberglass, so couldn't you paint the inside of the bucket black, and the underside of the hood an trunklid, to help get rid of the see thru look?

    '52 Chevy

You made the car you wanted, an THAT'S the only thing that counts John. I used the 52 Chevy Deluxe body from MCW it is a body just like the post coupe you made. It was my first car, got it from my Dad, and my Big Brudder and i put a 283 Chevy with a 2spd Powerglide! GREAT car!

    71 Cuda

Remindes me of the Black Cuda from "Phantasm"! Looks REAL good!
  5. Most K-Marts carry a VERY limited amount of kits. Where they once had a 12 foot 3 tiered model section, they've reduced it to about a 3 foot length with about a dozen kits in all different scales(1/72 to 1/24th).
  6. This thing must stick out like an elephant amongst all those smaller Euro cars. It would be a BLAST to drive that rascal on the streets!
  7. Die cast,LoLo? Hey, after wat it's been thru, it deserves a rebuild! thank god it's metal, a plastic car may not have survived! Do 'er up right,Daddy-O!
  8. I thought a roadster didn't have a roof. Mercedes rat rod is a unique ride, that's for sure!
  9. The SAE article is for bulged fenders. He's asking for flaired wheelwells. But yeah, that would make for a pretty good "How To" for the forum/magazine.
  10. It's only for Christmas. They are in the midway because they won't carry them AFTER Christmas, so they don't give them shelfspace.
  11. Brandon, you gotta move the spare up higher in the trunk, bro. The gas tank filler tube is gonna go right thru the middle of the tire!
  12. Looks like a 64, so if you find an old long peice if red taillight sprue, you CAN make them. They are about a 1/4 in.long and vertical so you can file and shape them pretty easily. I had to make one for abuild I did. It worked pretty good. You can do as Brett suggests also, and make the glass from thin clear plastic. Hth.
  13. Guys Danny REALLY puts a LOT of thought into his product line, and i certainly shows. I think these'd go GREAT with the Galaxie Trailers, they're much more rugged and detailed lookin that what comes in the kits. GREAT idea Dan, I like it!
  14. DAVE! Happy Birthday Bud!!! Hope you have a GREAT one, an i wish you MANY,MANY more!!!
  15. I passed 8,000 a while back an never even noticed it till a buddy brought it to my attention.Seems like just yesterday.......
  16. Scott, aside from the cost, resin's no harder to work with than plastic. Just a different media. It ONLY glues with Epoxy or superglue, so you'll need that, but other than that, there's really no difference. AND you'll find ALL kindsa cool off the wall stuff being cast, ALOT of it is of VERY good quality, just stck with the better well known casters. Ask here, the guys can turn you on to ALL kinds of cool stuff and REPUTABLE resin casters. Check it out, you'll be very suprised at what's being offered.
  17. Builds into a NICE lookin model, that's for sure. You did a VERY nice job on it. The Chapparal Coupes we one of my FAVORITE Can-Am Racers.
  18. One of our forum brothers who lives in Finland or somewheres nears there(sweden?)Has a resin casting company that I THINK casts that little blue one,I THINK. I can't remember his name though. Maybe one of the guys will. Guys?
  19. Now everybody can ride/drive in a toy!!!
  20. Andy, Randy's right, the Nuts and Bolt sets ARE from Grandt Line.Sorry.
  21. VERY cool! AND your the ONLY kid on the BLOCK with one!!!! GREAT conversion!
  22. Check out the railroad section at your LHS. A company called Grainger make ALOT of different bolts, bolt heads and nuts in a few different scales. They are pretty well detailed(if you CAN detail a bolt head)and look pretty good when you use them.
  23. VERY nice combination of colors.
  24. NIko, when guys do crazy things like that, they usually build completely new chassis for them. Your gonna need to really beef up your chassis pan to take the torque of that big block! But hey, it's only plastic and shouldn't be a problem with your skills. Go for it, i LOVE watchin this kinda stuff come together! You GO Brother!
