  1. A friend of mine sent me a copy of the racer's wedge '72 Chevrolet pickup kit. Being that I am quite partial to stock that's how I built this Two tone '72 Chevrolet pickup. Two things were switched out first I changed it to a bench seat in the cab, and second was putting a '67 Impala's engine in the engine bay. I also added an mirror inside of the cab as well.
  2. Yep I caught that issue with headlight when I posted the photo's. After seeing that I fixed that headlight. As I stated before I should have shorten the frame on the Other three 4070 A's that I built.
  3. Not sure if they were deflectors or Cab grab bars to help ease the use of just using the chrome ones on the front. I did add those after the photo's were posted though.
  4. US 127 Garage Sale ... Van Wert Co. Fairgrounds, Jr Fair Bld. I talked the price down from $50 to $25.00 There was another vendor that had bunches of kit's I bought two from that seller. One was $18.00 the other was $16.00 ..... The $18.00 one is a Revell (Hot Rod Mag) '54 Chevy sedan, which I'll make close to stock with the help of a AMT '51 Chevy kit. The $16.00 is the first issue Monogram '64 Pontiac GTO (1984)..
  5. May she rest in peace...
  6. ThankYou! I wished I would have been smart and done the same to the other three! For some reason the out of the box frame looks way to long to my eyes. The frame on this copy looks more like I think what the kit should have been done as.
  7. On Thursday August 5,2021 I found a lonely Johan '62 Rambler American Convertible, and I bought the built (non Painted). The kit had the custom tail lights installed and was set at it's lowest set holes making the car very low riding . The car came with all the rest of the stock and custom parts as well. I liked the show 3rd rock from the sun, and I knew that the Solomon Family drove a rambler. I couldn't remember what year the car was, and so I did a internet search to find out it was the same as the Johan kit I just bought. So I took the car apart replacing any custom parts with stock ones, then Painted the car red. I added the white after the paint dried which actually are decals that came in an AMT Transtar 4070 a. It's not perfect but That happens sometimes.
  8. Passenger headlight was fixed, I didn't notice that it came loose till I posted the photo's.
  9. Before I go any further . Yes this is the Fourth Transtar 4070 A's from the AMT copy. I shortened the frame First cuts of the frame was just behind the rear fuel tank mounts, and the second cuts were in front of the first set of drive wheel's. I decided to use the front chrome wheel's that came in the kit, and added the Chrome rear set from a Transtar 4300 kit. Other items from the 4300 kit are: CB and CB antenna's , flap guard at the front of the drive wheels. The paint is Krylon shortcuts yellow, Krylon short cuts red (engine), and Krylon black... Interior Paint is Testors Model masters spray Tan color
  10. Yes They do work on the '84 GMC. But I made mine an '84 Chevy with the chevy grill from Iceman's collections..
  11. You more than likely paid a high price for that '72 Impala. I'd like to have one in my 30 years of Chevrolet Collection, But They seem to be out of my price range.
  12. From the Tech sheet that comes with the kit I'd say it either 160" or 184" it has the 83" cab that's the only I know for sure otherwise. Since theres a good distance between the fuel tank and rear axles I'd be more apt to say it's 184" with a OAL 261" from bumper to tail end.
  13. Thanks to all who has made positive comments on this build! I found that using sharpie ultra fine tip Markers make easy and quick work of the dash gages. Plus putting the IH logo in the center hub of the steering wheel. I use these markers quite a bit for the small area's on car kit's such as side marker lights ect.
  14. They gave me a little more trouble than the blue one's. Other wise they went on fairly easy. I do how ever cut the ones that are on the back of the cab to ease the way that they will lay. Less chance of them twisting and such when the back of the cab decals are split.
  15. I know, I'm Just like the Harvester Factory was in Ft. Wayne Indiana. My dad started working at the Ft.Wayne plant in 1962 Until they closed the plant in '83 He finished his 30 years at the Springfield Oh Plant in 1992. As for IH trucks I have built so many that I don't even have to look at the instructions! I have built Six of the Transtar 4070 A's . Three are Original 1973 issued kit's , and 3 are the New AMT kit. I've also built 5 Transtar II's 16 Transtar 4300's, 5 Paystar 5000's four Transtar 4270's (4200), and 3 S-series. 12 Scout's, 1 Payhauler 350, and the 1466 Farm tractor. My mother gave me dad's 20 year and his 30 certificate's . The 20 years from Ft Wayne's Plant (1982) , and that has the IH logo on it while the 30 years has the Navistar logo.
  16. This is the third and last AMT Transtar 4070 A that I have built. Painted with Krylon short cuts Tangerine orange and gloss white. The mud flaps have 1" stickers that I found at Old Fashioned Farmers days here in town a few weeks ago.
  17. Robinson played Mac On Night Court then went on to be Tim "the tool Man "Tylor's Boss for a season or so on Home Improvement.
  18. I have detailed a collection of Third Generation Camaro promo's The only missing year is the last of the Generation 1992. So here are the Camaro's from 1982-1991
  19. Our local weather has been so far off it's truly sad. Last week of june there was a line of storm's that were supposed to dump near 3 inches of rain. Well that was west of here then broke to the north and south of our county only to regroup in the next few counties east of ours. 90% chance of rain , But all we got was sunshine and humid temps. Then last week same thing were supposed to get hit with near 2 inches of rain, and it did the same path the one the week before took. Mid week tis week we were supposed to get 1.79 inches of rain for all day Thursday .what we actual got for our first rain in July was less than .010 of an inch. The grass is yellowish colored, but the weeds are going bonkers!
  20. Checked the Round2 July spotlight video. Which showed the Scout II as the first model shown in the video. Round2 added some things to the decal sheet, but dropped the ball when it came to stripe options. The decal sheet only has the same old Rally stripes decals with no other stripe choices. They could have at least added a set of the feathered stripes on the decal sheet.
  21. Great trade with iBorg! Hope he enjoys that Harley..
  22. I done that as well.. The second photo it can seen, and in the last photo it blends into the rocks.
  23. This is a kit I picked up at a local flea market. Parts were off their trees and the animal was started, but not painted. I took it apart so I could paint the inside of the mouth, and teeth better.
  24. Batteries and box cover was removed due to wind issues (20 MPH)
