  1. Decatur Indiana flea market which is held only once a month. I bought these from four different vendors. The '63 Galaxie friction promo $25.00, the 60 Ford 4 door promo $3.00, the '96 collectors corvette $3.00 and the '74 Cuda plus '88 Camaro $10.00 each
  2. I know Revell had some kits that were brittle from the start back in the 1980's . One was the '57 Nomad (1/25 ) and a chevy pickup kit . Both were molded in a bronze color. A friend of mine when we were in high school gave me a Revell '57 nomad kit he had got for a gift. He did build model's anymore, and knew I did plus that I liked '57 Chevrolet's. Kit was opened but the parts were factory sealed. Any time I tried to remove a part from the sprue it would shatter like thin glass.
  3. He Guest stared on; Mr Ed, Little house , murder she wrote, the big valley, Donna reed, Hawaii 5-O, and was a young man John Wayne shot in the Movie El dorado. Plus he made a gust appearance in one on the Kenny Rogers Gambler movies Playing Mark McCain. That movie also had Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain, and Gene Barry as Bat Masterson.
  4. I have a copy on pre order with Tower Hobbies, and I'm thrilled to see that Round2 did a major expansion on the decal's to include the stripes for the box art copy!
  5. A couple of month back I won an Ebay auction for two '64 Oldsmobile's . One Promo, and one Original kit. Both were worth saving so the Promo was first, and while the Original kit provided the passenger seat it was still missing the complete windshield frame. That was supplied by a recently reissued '65 GTO kit, And seeing how the Original kit was not only missing the hood as well as the passenger seat. So Again the '65 GTO gave up parts such, as the Interior tub along with the front seat's. While the Original kit retained the Oldsmobile's dash. Then I got the newly reissued '64 Oldsmobile Via Ebay in the mail today. So I was able to use some of the custom racing parts on the Original kit to do a complete save of it. Now I have all 3 Oldsmobile's Finished. Yes I built the new copy in around 7 hours. Added photo's of the two restored as they were when I bought them off Ebay.
  6. I got the new reissue of the '64 Oldsmobile today around 10:30 am., I used some of the custom parts to save an Original '64 Oldsmobile kit that I bought which were a two for one deal a promo , and Original kit.
  7. If you watched the final episode "old Tony" he plays the guitar and sing's Greensleeves.
  8. John "Johnny" Crawford was first a Mouseketeer, then became Mark McCain on the rifleman, he was an actor singer, Musician, and band leader.
  9. My copy came in the mail today, And I ordered it from an ebay seller just two days ago. One issue with this kit is that the tires are quite loose on the wheel's (rim front and wheel back's.
  10. The "Forgotten Astronaut" Michael Collins was 90 years old.
  11. Back when nascar rules about engines /production cars. Auto companies had to produce enough of both to be able to be used in racing. Ford/ Mercury come up with the 429 Which even found there way under the hood of Colony Park wagons!
  12. Wasn't sodbuster the same kit as Judge Hardcastle's Stepside with the grill changed to GMC? I'd think most of the tooling would still be there as The cab (altered without chevy badging), Interior, chassis and engine are also used for the Ex Fall Guy GMC ( Deserter GMC )
  13. Snake, would that make 4/29 Mercury day?? For the famous 429 Mercury's......
  14. Not really I was just stating that the IH scout was produced for 5 years before the Bronco. And so The Revell bronco was a good seller as they have issued it now to be in three different form's. Thus the Scout I think would also be a big seller since it was in 1:1 Production a full five years Prior to the Bronco "Scout" clone.. No disrespect inteneded.
  15. Frankly Ford cloned the IH Scout! The Scout came out 1961 where as the Bronco 1966!
  16. Since we had a larger family I grew up with a love for the GM "clamshell" station wagon's Dad bought a new Catalina 400 wagon in 1971 which was a Brown color Pontiac called it bronze.
  17. I thought we were done with this white stuff for the year??? We woke up to seeing this outside.
  18. Funny I wasn't trying to be negative, and no I never had cast any resin item's. I have bought quite a few that came from the seller that had very little to do to clean up. The door window's look a tad off on that casting, and that's why I would lose the resin cast cab using the kit cab since I'd use the kit to supply the needed frame ect.
  19. Those are the one's I have! I built that van when it was reissued, and saved the tires. Now just need two more for my '72 Jimmy project.
  20. These are the three I have, and they fit the "drag" rims very nice. I have to find two more as I'll need one to be a spare for the Jimmy!
  21. Someone made a better casting than that a few years ago, the hood was not attached to the cab on their casting, As I recall the caster was from North Carolina. The cab on the one shown looks ruff! I'd cut that off and use the Transtar 4300's complete kit minus the 4300's hood/headlight's and bumper. The real 9300's used the 4300 cab design anyway.
  22. I'm talking about the Extra tires that were issued in kit's like the 68/69 Chevy pickup's (fire/tow truck) kit's that also had the stock bed in with them. Not sure that the recent reissue of the '78 Dodge pickup or the soon reissue of the racer's wedge chevy pickup kit's inclue a pair of those tires
  23. Looking for info on what mpc kit's came with the extra snow/mud tires. I am asking because I want to use those to replace the Non 4X4 tires that are in the GMC Jimmy kit. I have one or two of them here but would require another set of two or three tires to go on the GMC Jimmy .
  24. Flea Market finds. The Maserati is copyrighted 1968 on the box, Both are still un built (never started).
