  1. What a great transformation from glue bomb to a smooth croozer , great save .
  2. G,day , i've been building models for years and NEVER seen a custom this smooth ! I even showed my wife who has NEGATIVE interest in models , as she sees them in her sleep ! even she likes this car . You've done an outstanding job on this car well done .

    32 Ford 5 Window

Very stylish and clean , like it .
  4. Gday , i built this about 20 years ago , i got the idea from a car of the 60's i think it was called bannana something . I think it also had something to do with HOT ROD magazine .It has about 5mm setioned around the middle , the hardest part was doin the rear boot area to stay with the factory curve, the interior had to be cut down as well and the sides cut from the interior bucket and cut down and reglued . The rolled pan was modified from the revell 29 roadster pick up . For the bonnett to be closed i had to cut the bottoms off the carbs and glue them on to the intake manifold , with look daggy so bonnett is on at all times .
  5. Very smooooooooth .
  6. G,day , at the moment i've been restoring an original boss from the 70's , i got it off evilbay and pulled it down and i'm up to where the photo's show .
  7. The white one has a few bits on it that say it might be comin here .Here's two photos of the companys star which was new in november 2010.
  8. The only problem with the half tanks is that i've only got two 50 ton hoists and theres too much oil . I'd rather have three quarters for fuel and then i'd still have enough oil on board .The star is different , we dont have that model here in oz .
  9. Gee $5,500 seams a bit steep for a truck of that age . Heres two photo's of the truck and dog tipper that i drive , the left hand fuel tank is half deisel and half hydraulic oil , its a mack vision which gets its name from the slopping bonnett and drop down doors .
  10. Funny that , us ozzies are rude ? i was thinking the same as mild !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrates mate on a long marriage for the future ,NOW LOG OFF AND UMMMMM yer .
  11. Well i didnt insure my car to save money so it ran out on friday ! So i better renew it tommorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky i didnt part out my collection .
  12. G,day , i remember reading somewhere that AMT was going to release the 34 and sent it out to get the molds cleaned up and while it was getting cleaned up AMT was brought by matchbox ? and they forgot about the molds . Then someone from lindberg was talking to someone who mentioned that their company still had the molds and hadnt been paid so they kept them , so lindberg brought the molds and then released it , does anybody else remember this story ?
  13. Ok , it's sunday mornin and it's 12.56am and australia is still on line .
  14. How cool is this , you did'nt happen to ask what they were asking for it did ya ? Just wondering what an old truck like that goes for in the states .
  15. Here's one that was done by a mate of mine who recently passed away , Rys Crosskill , it's of a night carter who would come around in the middle of the night and collect the toilet can and replace it with a empty one .My grandfather used to invite the driver, who knew he ponged a bit into the house for a christmas drink , much to the anoyance of my grandmother LOL.
  16. No question is dumb ! Except the one about why horses have long faces ??????
  17. See if you can remove the front axle from the springs real careful , then glue it back ON TOP of the springs instead of under them .That should drop the front end, now for the the back mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i duno sorry .
  18. G,day , if it's the new one why dont you just ask amt for a replacement ?
  19. Thanks for posting , they sure love their customs , outstanding workmanship at this show .
  20. I'm affraid here in australia all of my friends and myself buy on line , because it seems the distributers here like to collect the kits themselves ? You go into a hobbie shop in sydney metro area and the shelves ate EMPTY ! All the neat stuff we see on the forums and the web are just not getting here so instead of waiting for who knows how long ,we get it off the net ! The old stuff that is on the shelves is WAY too expensive , so the death of the hobbie shop is because the distributers are TOO slow getting the stuff out here .Sorry to the hobby shop owners but they seem to have no interest either , i've even emailed the model companys in the states complaining about the distributers here and they don't respond either . So thats why most of oz builders buy on line and direct from the states !!!!!
  21. Here's some photo's of the nnl comp in tumut , there's a selection of both cars and trucks . http://s899.photobucket.com/albums/ac196/mark_harmer/Truck%20Models/Tumut%202011/?start=20#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ16
  22. AMT wynns jammer has a working crankshaft and blower rotors with a clear sump so you can see the crank turning .
  23. G,day, My names scumbag , i've got probably 2000 models unbuilt and about 200 built . I've got lots of bits and peices and magazines . I'M A PLASTIC JUNKIE AND A HOARDER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
