Excellant , just watch the melting tyre symdrome that seems to plaque those kits . Does that patto's place have a web site ?

Geez it looks to have been built many moons ago and maybe survived many moves and storage . I liked the story about the guy who designed it and the history of the factory .

When i was a young fella i worked for a company that had atkinsons and one 4070a transtar and they had 8/71's in them and they would do 75mph all night as they were an overnight express company . All the TNT overnight runners had 8/92t's and you could not kill them with a stick , rumour had it that they had got detriot to mold them their own blocks where the pours in the metal were closer than a stock block so they could rev harder . I was told that when you turn on a detroit drive the guts out of it and when you get where your going turn it off ! No idle down or nothing .They did leak around the rocker covers and the side plates but not as bad as the cummins fans will tell ya . Below is a photo of my hotrod which was takin around 76-77 .

a CBP proposal Mad Max 4: Fury Road, build the next Interceptor
scummy replied to Lownslow's topic in Community Builds
The gap between mm1 and mm2 has many stories that can be told , how the war happened , who and how they survived , how and when max modified the interceptor . So the vehicles should have a more stock look to them , with maybe some sort of roll cage or half rollcage to protect the driver . A large fuel tank to save you from having to stop and fuel all the time so the ferels cant kill you for your wheels when you stop to fuel, and big horsepower to out run these ferels . Wire , wire on the window openings or steel with small openings so nuthing can enter the vehicle to get to you . I'd say just think of how YOU would fit out a car right now with what you have around you , yer forget about all the big gun things as you would have to go somewhere to get amo so would the ferels be there getting their amo and they like you won't want to share . Build a car you would survive in , dont forget to protect your tyres . I dont think you will see the max kit re-released as the company didnt get a copyright licence to make it originally and was told bigtime to stop making it . Cheer's and see you on the road scag ! -
a CBP proposal Mad Max 4: Fury Road, build the next Interceptor
scummy replied to Lownslow's topic in Community Builds
Ok , heres your heads up . The concept car that you speak of will NOT be in mm4 . The movie itself will span between mm1 and mm2 , it tells the story of how society went from sortof madness to all out lawless land where only the strong survive . -
Ok, Who hides there kits :)
scummy replied to Tye Brown's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I never hide anything from my wife ,one day i'm gona fall of the perch and she's gona have a HUGE collection of model cars and trucks . Here in australia there are a couple of buzzards that will hear of my passing and come around and offer her bugger all for the collection , so this way she knows what there worth so NOONE is gona rip her off , she will need the money when i go . Also , i knew of a guy who had a HUGE model train collection and his family just thought it was childish and did not know the money value of his collection , when he died they ordered a dimpster -------------------------------------------- IT ALL WENT TO THE DUMP , at least about $60.000 dollars worth . Dont cheat your wifes from knowing how much it's all worth because they will need the money when you go . -
Model Building as stress relief...
scummy replied to Darin Bastedo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When i was in my mid teens i started driving semi trailers interstate with an overnight freight company and i saw some horrible accidents which started to affect my moods and emotions . So the doctor said i gota get a hobby, so i took up model trucks ,when i went back he asked how the hobby thing was going so i told him i'm doing model trucks ! He went off saying that the hobby was suppose to take my mind off trucks and work !!!! Well that was in 1976 and i'm still addicted to model trucks . Hope your wife gets better mate all the best to you and your family .
