  1. There's a new word that is driving me insane on radio and tv , and that is ----EPIC !!!!!!!!!!!! It seems EVERYTHING is EPIC from food to cars here in australia .
  2. There was a magazine many moons ago , i think it was called , american rodder and they did an article on this rail . They also from memory said how he had to race under a made up name , something about his wealthy family was going to cut him off from the family wealth .
  3. MMMMMMMM very nice . Also like the the way the paint masking was done .
  4. Does anybody know where these molds are ????????
  5. Here in sydney we got 97cents to $1.00 a litre . Im about to get my triple carb torana out and give it a whirl , it hasnt been out of the garage for about one and a half years . Fuel was $1.50 a litre when she was put away .
  6. Good work mate , and another ozzie on here .
  7. Wow , i've never heard or seen this before .
  8. Oh very nice , good one.
  9. Nice stuff there , but did it snow a little ?
  10. The next couple of photo's are on the road from dubbo to gilgandra . The next two are just photo's left over . The one with the traffic light was out in the middle of nowhere , a road train had left the road a little and dug a little path before getting back on the road so the workmen were just filling it in with some dirt .
  11. G,day , i just got back from my holiday to nyngan, 558 km's west from sydney where the road trains run . They unhook the third trailer in bourke and from there they travel down to dubbo as double trailer road trains . The first couple of photo's are in nyngan including a photo of a tanker dropping fuel for the garage . I also found this r model mack in the side street , it is the grain season there so the farm trucks come out of hiding . Here's a couple of photo's of a short draw bar dolly found at a small town called nevertire . This next pick was takin at narramine , the vehicle at the rear is the government inspectors . Next four were takin at the dubbo sales yard .
  12. Yes , what chassis are you using mate looks great .
  13. Auslowes sell a 8/92 det motor .
  14. Even though the prize was huge how much money do you recon they made selling all the tickets ?
  15. Yep that was it mate , rocket , jet same thing .
  16. They came out here and toured australia in mid 70's . Went to the drag strips around the country and raced the louie rocket truck , everybody laughed at the boss truck that lost race after race against a ROCKET powered flord louie . To me the boss was the fastest mechanical race truck and the louie was the fastest ROCKET powered truck . Simple .
  17. If you watch when the camera looks from the back of the cab back at the tanker you can see it rocking as it follows the surface of the road as if it was empty . Funny , alot of young truckies here have never heard or seen the movie but when they do , we got them hook line and sinker . You also gota remember that flammable liquid only explodes or ignites when a naked flame is introduced to it .
  18. No ! but you need to clean them up as i'm sure the ones on the bottom are getting crushed . Lucky your darlin wife hasnt seen my collection , we both be in trouble . Tell her you could sell them all and buy alcohol , what a party .
  19. Great photo's so far , keep them coming .
