  1. A LOT!! EDSEL, Wagons, Fire/Police/Emergency Vehicles, Muscle Classic's, 40's, 50's, 60's Buses, Pickups, Semi's, Indy Pace cars, Convertibles. I have also built Ships, & Aircraft (civilian & Military) as well as a tank or 2 Lindberg's Caterpiler Heavy Dump, Scraper, & Wheel Loader, and a few Show rods
  2. Only $14.oo a pack direct, but what is shipping??
  3. I believe the Larger unit in the 65 El Camino kit was originally in the First issue 59 wasn't it?? I seem to remember it on the original issue box art. i have an Older issue of the 65 with it. and it does appear to fit the 59 too. I do agree, I am not sure about mounting one in an El Camino
  4. I built the red issue. Only one with the Bed cap. It is part of my 'Fire Department' I too wish Revell would Hurry up and re-issue this kit!!!!
  5. I had one sheet of Model Master. Garbage. Soft is only Part of it. The stuff Felt like Mylar instead of Foil, and like there was a sheet of Cellophane between the surface & adhesive. The adhesive felt like Weak Double-face tape. Once on it would pick up a scar from the lightest touch of the edge of your fingernail.
  6. This 71 Cheyenne was one of the 5 Built's I got It needs an Engine, but display's fine without. Tires are AMT Firestone Supreme White-stripe wall. The toneau cover is from one of the recent re-issue 72's Wish they would re-issue it again!! Wish this was a 70 instead though. Our 70 Impala was this color. And 10 or so years ago a 70 Cheyenne in this color was for sale here. If i had had the $3000.oo they were asking for it, I would be driving that instead of the Dodge Dynasty that is falling apart just sitting in my driveway!!
  7. This is the 69 I got with the Cap on the 67. I stripped the frosted Green paint, and have it in Flat White Primer Luckily the plastic did not take up the frosted effect too badly. Here is my Oldest Pickup kit, An AMT 60 F-100 Annual. This one needed a little more body work to smooth it out. Sanding & File marks/gouges. I got all but the Box! I also have a 63 F-100 That I Finally found a Hood for, but the hood is from a 62 with that ones badges I need to take some pic's of that 63, and the other 67-72 Chevy/GMC's I have. FOUND Pic's of the 63 F-100. Now in my Photobucket A friend in Ohio got the tail lights for me. 62 Hood is not in the pictures. Look here for more pic's of these In-Progress Projects; http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r229/EdselDan/Models/Projects/Pick%20Up%20trucks/
  8. Hi all. Here are a few of my Pick up Projects. This started with a Revell 65 Chevy Shortbox stepside kit. I had to stretch the chassis to Longbox length in order to mount the body The Open Road Mini-Motor Home is from the recent M-K re-issue. Tires are OLD AMT Rubber "Firestone Darlington-Gum Dipped" Turnpike pieces. I believe Only the original 1962 issue of their Opening door 58 Impala had them. I have not seen them in any other kit. Yes the front suspension was cut apart for steering The Mini-Motor Home's Little Twin; This one sports MPC G-70's. I have cut the one piece bed apart to yield a more correct Fleetside out of it as molded it represents more of a Cameo than a Fleetside Steering is also pose-able on this one Next is a Ramp back hauler This is a bash. Hauler is the M-K Racer's Wedge re-issue. Chassis is from the MPC Heavy Pedal version 72 Longbox Stepside pickup. Cab is from the parts box Here is an Original 67 Annual I got this built Years ago. I did paint detail the chassis & engine, but the body & interior are still unpainted The cap is from AMT offered in the 68 Hunter's Special version of their 63 F-100 And also in their 69 Fleetside I got it in a Box lot at an auction With a complete built 69 Fleetside! (Only Model kits.parts I Ever found that way!) I also have a second 67 that is a Resin conversion The 67-72 Era Chevy/GMC Pickup is my Favorite. I have Several including 4 more Built's I got with the Resin conversion 67! I did have to replace the rims/tires with Stock pieces, but all are Nice!!
  9. I tried to order direct once. Four sheets, or only ONE, Shipping was $12.oo I Did Not see anywhere to change shipper/level
  10. i just dug my kit out. Gold box art Lowrider. Wonder if the Jo-Han hubcaps would work to to make her look More stock??
  11. That OLD Monogram 1/24 scale 58 T-Bird has always had the opening Doors & hood. Psychographic said he cut the trunk pen himself. I have the First Elvira issue. No Figure in that one Don't remember the Leopard print decals for the interior either.
  12. I can tell by Box-Art that is a "Promo-Kit" Craftsman/Curbside kit Unassembled Promo. No opening Doors, No Opening Hood. Also, That one is molded in Red. You have to watch those. Some sellers do not state what color is in the box nor do they show the end which says. The seller does say this is a Promo too
  13. Those I am actually interested in. The Wide-Whites would look correct on a 40'-50's Factory Stock cruiser The Narrow Stripe Whites would look correct on any 60'-70's!!
  14. The one in the pic by the Camaro IS 1/32. It is a Snap kit. Lower Left corner of the box.
  15. The Show Car Chrome tree from the "Customizing" series Did show up again. I think either the Prestige Benz, or Avanti had it. I Think I have also seen the Tools in another AMT/MPC kit, but do not remember which I need to dig out my Silhouette to see what extra parts it came with. Base w/pen holder, Show trophys, ???? The 63 Vette Roadster had the Drag track set. TV Camera, Mega Speakers, etc.
  16. I am surprised to see one of the rotator domes on the clear tree. I though those Hot-rod versions only had the car itself and deleted the Police parts. Wish those kits would get re-issued again I have an Old LAPD version. It only had the rack with Rotators & siren They match the design of Jo-Han's set in the 68 Fury Police Pursuit though slightly different parts. The Rotator bases are cast with the rack, while the mounts are separate. Jo-Han has the rack as 1 pc, bar & mounts. I did not get the 'Twinsonic' type bar caps. only the base & siren on the chrome tree. I did get both sets of tail lights. Nice that they are clear and not clear-red. The bench seat has a hollow back you need to cover/hide with an insert. I did find out LAPD only used the Plymouth this year, so need the Fury grill. The body, interior, chassis, etc are shared in all kits. only the grill, and evidently some issues, the police roof lights are different between kits parts wise. The Decals are the major difference. I watch for these, but the last one that stayed within my budget, the seller would not accept Postal Money Order. All others start at $45-75.oo!!
  17. Correct. There was not a Pen or pencil included, Just the base with a holder for Your pen/pencil. All or most boxes stated that Chrome foil & White wall tires were included. The Corvair had the hollow Ralley/Sportscar tires and No whitewalls I am not sure is the tires in the Benz 300 SL Gullwing are white walled or not. I also prefer to call these White-Striped not walled. I think of 30's-50's Wide Whites when I see White wall Tire All kits had the Square sidewall Generic Firestone tire, and white stripes could be on the Named side or blank side. It was Good luck to get 1 Concentric white wall. a miracle to get all 4!!
  18. sjordan2, Go here to get an Old version of Firefox. http://www.oldversion.com/ Mozilla Firefox is listed First under Internet. They go all the way back I see everything from 13.o2 Aurora to 0.6. So if you remember which version you had before the update, get that installer. You can try to install it to a New folder, Move the parts from the current folder into it, and then delete the one that does not work Also, Set it to Only notify you of an update. I get a pop-up telling me 12 is ready to install, but I click on the red X to close it without updating You may need to input more info, all versions shown only show m-s OS, but that does not mean they don't have mac covered too (This is one reason I Keep the Installer!! Never know when you will need it) I do the same with MicroCrap too. Not long ago this thing updated, then popped up telling me New updates were ready It got stuck in a Constant loop downloading & installing the same 3 updates I had forgotten to turn off Auto Updates when I got this one. That site is not the only one to save you from error causing or Corrupting updates. Just search Old, Older, etc Version. Some are better than others.
  19. That Square 'Bird Nascar body is Not the same as what is wanted. That Monogram/Revell body is the Smaller 80-81. The 77-79 is longer. It Might be possible to use one as a base, but will take even More work than jut the 'Bulged' wheel well openings used to clear the race tires. 2 bodies would likely have to be grafted together to lengthen it to correct earlier spec. Plus, the different sheet metal shapes will need to be created.
  20. Those were Original to the Kit too. It was nice AMT actually returned them to the kit for the series. I also think one or 2 of the Prestige kits had the Cutomizing series "Tools"
  21. I did not have a Card reader slot(s) in any PC thil this Dell. I just plugged the USB cable in and turned the camera on. Like they say, ity is the same as plugging a Thumbdrive in. The PC will recognize it as an external drive/device and bring up the window "What should Windows Do" I scroll down to Open folder, and simply Move th e wanted pic's to the correct folder. I don't drag/drop, I highlight and click "Move" or 'Copy' Renaming them I only clip on the pic, then click a second time on the name. I now type what I want the file name to be. Delay the second click, And Only hit the Name of the file. It will be boxed, and white text on blue I am using an Old Sony DSC30 1.3 MP camera. I sometimes rename the pic's before I move them
  22. I thought I read in a magazine that Seville Leased the tools from Jo-Han in 80 or later. The USA Oldies were being released as ealy as 72-4. I know, I have a few. I had 2 of the Marlin, The older purchase wasm olded in White & still had the Metal axles, while the second kit I bought was molded in a softer Red styrene, and had the heavy thick plastic axles. I need to check my kits. I have the 5 62's Dodge & Plymouth hardtops & Converts, and the 300. I bought the 63 Fury was finally re-issued in 79-81, and the 68 Cadillac Convertible Deville. Both my 64 Deville's have the plastic axles. I was surprised to see the originals had the steering last seen in the Ambulance/Hearse kits. I have an OLD ad that shows AMT made Power window cranks for Buick/GM/Aftermarket in 59. I am curious as to how many of the Kit companys did something besides promos for the Big auto industry
  23. Gotta dig out my old 1/32 kit & restore it That's the only one I know came with Bear. Just, not sure what all I need to restore the rig besides a few of the tires, and Paint.
  24. I didn't have that problem in any of my kits luckily. I built the Lincoln as a Stock Phantom Wagon . Woodgrain is Contact Paper with Chrome strips from a Testor's 48 Ford kit as "Woody" Surround Not all kits in the series had the base/pen holder, Or the "Mini"Chrome-foil sheet. 1 or 2 had the Trophies/Stantions from the Customizing series. I need to dig out the Avanti, Benz Gullwing, both 65 Pontiacs & Silhouette to see what they have.
  25. Any other Nederlander's out there willing to help?
