  1. I like your BDX-30 Bonnet Bus. I have 3 of them to build. Started 2, But I want to replace the decal 2-3 toning with paint. You can use these with some 1/24-25 scale models. The first one I got included 37 & 39 Chevy front clips to replace the Isuzu nose. Also, it had been Chopped. I have replaced all but the center windshield pillar. But, may just wait and replace the body For those interested, a resin caster does offer the body alone, No interior, etc with the door on the right side for an American, etc version. You supply the hood/fenders, chassis, etc
  2. Also Beautys! Love these too. I have one of the "Decotora" Truck kits. I am looking at building it Standard, but the orange interior & Chassis do not go well with the Metallic red cab!! I do watch for these on the 'bay, but VERY Few US sellers ever have them. All are from Tokyo Hobby, Go-Boy Store, Tom-China, or other Japan/China store I can't play with those. Have to pay by Money Order, or Cash on pickup!
  3. I like these!! Wish they were imported here!! (At least more than the 1 -2 I ever see listed on evilbay) I have 3 versions of the Isuzu BX-30 Bonnet Bus. Those are The LOW parts count kits. (Unassembled Curbside Promo!) Interior is ONE piece + dash, column, steering wheel 2 levers & 5 partition/hand rails These Larger Busses have Many parts. All seats look to be separate in them as well as more hand rails Aoshima is getting there Money's worth out of the tooling of these. I have seen at least 6 different versions of the Aero Queen, & Mitsubishi/Fuso Erga Easy Step I want these so bad!!!! They build up beautfully
  4. I tend to keep Flash disabled altogether. Plus, I don't let firefox update I have ff-11. I Don't want beta versions. plus many times before, updates would disable too many of my Plug-ins.
  5. OK, This is the Clip Not the Chrome grill insert then?? I thought this was from An MPC 75 Road Runner/Fury It can't be just the grill and designed to fit the MPC Monaco. The MPC kit uses 2 separate grill inserts, Yodel does both Fury & Monaco Grills as 1 pc units. This puts the Monaco's Body Color divider on the grill and Chrome plated. Not easy to paint with out marring the chrome on the grills I have a few of the Force 44o 2dr & TJ Hooker 4dr MPC Monaco's (Have the 75 Runner & 77 Monaco Annual's too) And the LAPD Yodel. All I need is the Chrome Grill Not the full front clip. It looks like later issues have Both Grills in the kits. Mine does have both sets of tail light lenses. I see the Fury, but no price. It looks like a conversion Body. More than I need for the Yodel
  6. Is it a copy of this brand? or from the MPC kits? Will take modifying to fit the Yodel 1/24 if it is an MPC clone.
  7. I believe the First ones I built myself were Palmer's roughly 1/43 scale cars. Mom cut the parts off the trees with a kitchen knife, I glued them together. First 1/25 I built was MPC's 70 Impala Convertble "Vampire Machine" I added the Bat on the Hood, Fangs to the grill, Web Hub caps Over-top the Stock ones. Wish I still had that one. My dad built most of my kits before that. Not very good. Ones I remember having, Jo-Han Police Fury, Deville Convertible, Ambulance, & Hearse With Coffin MPC 69 Coronet Convert "Mission Impossible" AMT 49 Mercury, Pete 359 California, Fruehauf 40 Beaded van. Of those, I still have the Merc complete!!! Only Parts exist of the rest. (Except the MI Coronet--Nothing I can find!) Thought with Tires/rims I Could rebuild the Fruehauf!! Though it is painted Copper, and has Police decals on the AMT Arrow boards.
  8. "The King" should be a Plymouth Superbird, not a Dodge Daytona Mater would be the Fun one to create.
  9. I have a set of "Coffee Can" lights ready for the Build, but need to find the Siren Speaker. (Or at least the parts to convert the Eltro-Mechanical one from Jo-Han's kit into a Correct Electronic Only Open Bugle type as on those Cruisers.) Remember too, that those Can lights have Amber lenses to the rear Not red as Jo-Han has always given us in the old 68 Fury Police Pursuit kit!! (At least Since the Adam-12 Era! 67/8 Pilot!) I also need to replace the Monaco Grill piece with a Plymouth one, as LAPD Did Not Have Dodges of this era I have a GOOD Tamiya AeroDyn Lightbar I could use too, but have drilled the mounting holes for the Can's!
  10. I still have all the sets I had as a kid too!! first were just generic quantity sets. They did show ideas, Next a few Truck sets, The the Oridinal Train set, Then the Motor set. I still buy a few once in a while. Got the "Quidich Match" set not to long ago. Some of my Favorite Older sets were the Mini-Vehicles. I even have the Fire House with Engine, Ladder & Ambulance.
  11. I have a re-issue coming. Just have to go pick it up. Most likely when MPC modified this into the 'Outcast' the lost the tool insert for the original Dome lens. Instead of retooling it, they just include the AMT Semi clear red lens tree. Cheaper! I want to say, the original red dome cap was closer to correct. Tall & Skinny But it has been a Long time since buying & building that original Fire Truck Show rod issue! The Original decal sheet did not have all the pin-stripes. I do remember that
  12. OK, Thanks for that info. My first 65 was the Gear Hustler. Stock only parts, Open rims the Topper/Cap I did test fit my larger slide-in unit and it did not fit the 59 as well as it does the 65. I though AMT may have modified it before including it in the 65, but since I don't really remember the 59 kit before the mid 70's re-issue, I was only guessing. I am curious though. With all the re-issued of th e65 that included the topper, and the M-K re-issues of the 72 Blazer having all the Crew-Chief parts, why did none of the El Camino re-issues have the Hustler parts? Hard Hats, 6-pack bear/soda cans, etc??
  13. A LOT!! EDSEL, Wagons, Fire/Police/Emergency Vehicles, Muscle Classic's, 40's, 50's, 60's Buses, Pickups, Semi's, Indy Pace cars, Convertibles. I have also built Ships, & Aircraft (civilian & Military) as well as a tank or 2 Lindberg's Caterpiler Heavy Dump, Scraper, & Wheel Loader, and a few Show rods
  14. Only $14.oo a pack direct, but what is shipping??
  15. I believe the Larger unit in the 65 El Camino kit was originally in the First issue 59 wasn't it?? I seem to remember it on the original issue box art. i have an Older issue of the 65 with it. and it does appear to fit the 59 too. I do agree, I am not sure about mounting one in an El Camino
  16. I built the red issue. Only one with the Bed cap. It is part of my 'Fire Department' I too wish Revell would Hurry up and re-issue this kit!!!!
  17. I had one sheet of Model Master. Garbage. Soft is only Part of it. The stuff Felt like Mylar instead of Foil, and like there was a sheet of Cellophane between the surface & adhesive. The adhesive felt like Weak Double-face tape. Once on it would pick up a scar from the lightest touch of the edge of your fingernail.
  18. This 71 Cheyenne was one of the 5 Built's I got It needs an Engine, but display's fine without. Tires are AMT Firestone Supreme White-stripe wall. The toneau cover is from one of the recent re-issue 72's Wish they would re-issue it again!! Wish this was a 70 instead though. Our 70 Impala was this color. And 10 or so years ago a 70 Cheyenne in this color was for sale here. If i had had the $3000.oo they were asking for it, I would be driving that instead of the Dodge Dynasty that is falling apart just sitting in my driveway!!
  19. This is the 69 I got with the Cap on the 67. I stripped the frosted Green paint, and have it in Flat White Primer Luckily the plastic did not take up the frosted effect too badly. Here is my Oldest Pickup kit, An AMT 60 F-100 Annual. This one needed a little more body work to smooth it out. Sanding & File marks/gouges. I got all but the Box! I also have a 63 F-100 That I Finally found a Hood for, but the hood is from a 62 with that ones badges I need to take some pic's of that 63, and the other 67-72 Chevy/GMC's I have. FOUND Pic's of the 63 F-100. Now in my Photobucket A friend in Ohio got the tail lights for me. 62 Hood is not in the pictures. Look here for more pic's of these In-Progress Projects; http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r229/EdselDan/Models/Projects/Pick%20Up%20trucks/
  20. Hi all. Here are a few of my Pick up Projects. This started with a Revell 65 Chevy Shortbox stepside kit. I had to stretch the chassis to Longbox length in order to mount the body The Open Road Mini-Motor Home is from the recent M-K re-issue. Tires are OLD AMT Rubber "Firestone Darlington-Gum Dipped" Turnpike pieces. I believe Only the original 1962 issue of their Opening door 58 Impala had them. I have not seen them in any other kit. Yes the front suspension was cut apart for steering The Mini-Motor Home's Little Twin; This one sports MPC G-70's. I have cut the one piece bed apart to yield a more correct Fleetside out of it as molded it represents more of a Cameo than a Fleetside Steering is also pose-able on this one Next is a Ramp back hauler This is a bash. Hauler is the M-K Racer's Wedge re-issue. Chassis is from the MPC Heavy Pedal version 72 Longbox Stepside pickup. Cab is from the parts box Here is an Original 67 Annual I got this built Years ago. I did paint detail the chassis & engine, but the body & interior are still unpainted The cap is from AMT offered in the 68 Hunter's Special version of their 63 F-100 And also in their 69 Fleetside I got it in a Box lot at an auction With a complete built 69 Fleetside! (Only Model kits.parts I Ever found that way!) I also have a second 67 that is a Resin conversion The 67-72 Era Chevy/GMC Pickup is my Favorite. I have Several including 4 more Built's I got with the Resin conversion 67! I did have to replace the rims/tires with Stock pieces, but all are Nice!!
  21. I tried to order direct once. Four sheets, or only ONE, Shipping was $12.oo I Did Not see anywhere to change shipper/level
  22. i just dug my kit out. Gold box art Lowrider. Wonder if the Jo-Han hubcaps would work to to make her look More stock??
  23. That OLD Monogram 1/24 scale 58 T-Bird has always had the opening Doors & hood. Psychographic said he cut the trunk pen himself. I have the First Elvira issue. No Figure in that one Don't remember the Leopard print decals for the interior either.
  24. I can tell by Box-Art that is a "Promo-Kit" Craftsman/Curbside kit Unassembled Promo. No opening Doors, No Opening Hood. Also, That one is molded in Red. You have to watch those. Some sellers do not state what color is in the box nor do they show the end which says. The seller does say this is a Promo too
  25. Those I am actually interested in. The Wide-Whites would look correct on a 40'-50's Factory Stock cruiser The Narrow Stripe Whites would look correct on any 60'-70's!!
