Hi all, I have a New Favorite Music Group, but they are From Hilversum/Amsterdam area of Nederland/Netherlands/Holland. I would love to understand what they are singing, but do not read/write/speak Dutch yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. They are a Childrens Group, Kinderen Voor Kinderen, if that matters. There are a few others from there I like too. Many Thanks,

Anyone here play guitar?
Edsel-Dan replied to SuperStockAndy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I took lessons YEARS ago. Lost all that when my brother took all the guitars! I would like to learn to play one or 2 songs though. Mostly "Smoorverliefd" -
What is your eBay strategy?
Edsel-Dan replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
First thing I do is ask the seller if they take US Postal Money Order as I do not have pay-the-bay. If they say No, I do not watch that item, or any of their others ever again. If they say yes, I will bid. I ususally put the max I can afford then. But if I am first bid, I may put a low bid in. I may later go and increase my bid if I really want it. I have 3 Aurora ALF kits I got for under $40.oo shipped. -
I like that one. If Juha Airio mastered it, I would Not expect some one to call it only passable like most of their other castings But, I have no idea what they may have done to the master before casting

Edsel-Dan replied to 57peppershaker's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I would love to see the 71 Satellite & 73 Matador in 4dr sedan!! I want that 68 Belvedere. 67, & 69's too!! I might try to graft the roof from a Jo-Han 68 Fury onto the Mono/Rev 67 GTX. The design was very similar. I measured a 67 Coronet a few years ago. I would love to see more 4dr kits! Even Station Wagons! -

I try, but Very little Luck in my area. in 15-20 years of trying, I have found less than 10 models. Bigfoot 1 was first find. unbuilt, only $1.50 sealed inside too!! Glue Bomb 77 & 79 Trans Am's about $1.oo for the 2. My last find, late April a 68/9 GTO for only $5.oo Sealed I have a friend who goes to Many more every week and has found a little. First was an Original Monogram 1/32 Mack CF Pumper. Last week no kit, but an NWSL "Chopper", Toll rack, Paint Shaker, 1/35 scale ruler, etc

Why Did I Buy This?
Edsel-Dan replied to modelmike's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Ohio State Trooper Original issue of Lindberg's 97 CV Did call it a Snap. "Super Snap Ultra" to be exact. I have 4 of them in boxes, and a built one for resto/parts. Biggest item on the recent issues I don't like, The holes for the MX lightbar do not match the Original Vision/Vector V lightbar pin location. The MX lightbar is not as good in my opinion as the Vision/Vector/V in the Ohio kit. I have the Alabama, Illinois, CHP, versions, but my Generic decided to climb under my foot and went "Crunch" -
Suggestion for Shipping Model Kits
Edsel-Dan replied to RT6PK's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So far, I have only received one purchased kit only wrapped in paper over the kit box. A Heller/Lee copy of Imex/Arii's 58 Cadillac convertible. I got lucky in the box was not crushed, or mutilated in any way. I too save all receiving boxes. Plus, I watch the Recycle bins here in town. When I see good boxes, I take them. Due to the quantity of kits I have, I re-enforce the kit box itself with corrugated cardboard inside, bag loose parts, agid surround with bubble wrap/Foam sheet. layer peanuts or foam sheet/bubble-wrap. Be advised though, The Post Office may accept paper as packing, but UPS will VOID insurrance if paper is the packing. I asked once in a UPS shipper's office. -
Not in 81 they weren't using Torinos. The 81 T-Bird IS a Nascar kit Only. Otaki/Arii still occasionally offers the 72+ 'Bird kit. But as a Japanese market only kit, it is rather expensive here.

The Polar Lights kit is a separate tooling than the Aoshima/AMT kits. I have one of the P-L kits. It has metal axles and a Chrome plated body. Aoshima has re-issued the series at least once. there are as many as 4 kits. Original movie with the Folding wheels & Mr Fusion as well as the lightning rod. Second movie with Wide Whites, and Third movie with Rail wheels I have recently seen smaller 1/43 scale kits showing up from them too. Wish AMT would contract to offer this one again.

Resin dirtbikes?
Edsel-Dan replied to Nick Notarangelo's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have an unbuilt in the MPC 74 issue 72 Longbox Stepside kit If anyone is interested in casting it. The bike in the Bigfoot-1 is more of a Minibike, not a Dirt bike. I have one. It's the same as in the 6-wheel Ford Econoline van kit. -

Edsel-Dan replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I want one of these. Is this done in Single section sides, top, bottom like the Old AMT 40 ft box van?? I have an Italeri Box van & a Heller Canvas top trailer, and both are Split section, 2 pieces for each side, top & bottom plates. Not easy to hide those seams!! -
48 ft drop deck trailer scratch built
Edsel-Dan replied to Inky's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
here they are: http://jleslie48.com...port/index.html http://jleslie48.com...rane/index.html http://jleslie48.com...dels_other.html Another Cab, and accessories, not to mention some other interesting models. These Semi's are FREE!!!! That Crane is Filly Functional with Careful building!! -
I have one myself. Bought new back when. Don't like the way Rev did the Jetstream/Jetstrobe lightbar. The seam would have been better through the center of the top & bottom making a front/back like the chrome reflector/flasher center parts I would like to do both versions I know of. The kit supplied Jetstream & one with a "Vision/Vector" Flying V lightbar. I have seen pic's of both. Does this car still run?? or exist?

Hi all. Is there a reason why I now get an error when I try to go from a Subject area to "Model Cars" in the Forum?? This is what I get; Sorry, we couldn't find that! [#103139] You do not have permission to view this forum. Need Help? Our help documentation Contact the community administrator I can still navigate by going out to the front page 'Model Cars Magazine Forum' then to the subject I want, but can not get to the 'Model Cars' section directly I do not get this error in any other sections, Help, Trucks. Just in Cars. I did not know what to do, or if anyone else was having this trouble.

1/25 Galaxie Ltd. '46 - '48 Chevrolet Aerosedan
Edsel-Dan replied to MikeMc's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I thought they were going to do the Coupe & Convertible bodies with 40/41 style front clips giving us the option to combine all 4 kits to build all body styles for all years. That was the report back when the 2 48's were first announced.
