  1. I thought I would take a break and do something different. As seem on Graveyard Cars is the Easy Run Test stand. Need to finish the control panel wire harness and throttle controls. I plan to make the decals from pictures from Easy Run's website.
  2. That is nice! Great job in accuracy so far. This is not an easy task to take on.
  3. Thanks for your comments, Dark Blue with blue interior is the way to go. Still need to decide on the Keystones or steel wheels with the dog dish caps.
  4. Thanks for your comments. Once I get around to building the 63, I'm trying to decide on a color combination and leaning towards a blue multi shade interior with dark blue body or the tan metallic color with matching tan multi interior. Thanks
  5. Getting closer to the finish line, here's a mock up with Keystones. The bumpers attach to the chassis with pins for positive location. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  6. Been working towards getting my 63 Ply SS ready to send to a resin casting co (a real good one) and hopefully we can get this one as a kit. The master parts are almost done, just need one more door panel and interior alignment with body and chassis. Got the grille, bumper and bumper filler with brackets done and the locate to the chassis for positive fit. Re-did the dash board and gauge panel because I did not like the first one I made. All separate pieces and made the speaker grille from an old P/E grill. Here are the latest parts.
  7. Jesse: Performance Detail Products made a 63 Galaxie PE set years ago but they have been out of business for several years. Your best bet is to keep an eye out on eBay. From what I remember it was a pretty complete set for a 63 Galaxie. I wish I would have bought it when it was available.
  8. Been working on my 62 Dodge Dart dashboard, needs a little more work but I think I'm getting close to where I want it. I bought Best Model Car Part's 63 Dodge Gauge decals and the speedo decal is just right for my modified 62 gauge panel. Need to find decals for the round dials.
  9. Steve, Just beautiful. You make an old JoHan look like a modern kit. Great job!
  10. I worked on the dash board, gauge panel and used an old photo etch grille to get the speaker grill close to accurate. Got the grill front splash pan and bumper done as well. This project is winding done and it will be ready soon for the resin casting. Your suggestions are welcome, thanks.
  11. Dr Jay: Absolutely beautiful. You're giving me inspiration to finish my 62 Max Wedge. My 63 Plymouth Savoy is almost ready to begin building after all the scratch parts I've been making but want to finish up the Dodge right after. I've behind on the forum updates and will try to get some pics posted over the weekend.
  12. Thanks Ben. I started with MPC's 69 442 cut down and used various trim rings and rims for front and back. Drilled out the lug nuts and used M&R's resin acorn nuts. Working on getting these cast in resin.
  13. I have been playing around with casting various factory Rallye wheels with and without trim rings and a couple of depths. I don't have the new Olds Hurst kit yet but I will see how mine resin wheels look. I'm working with a quality resin caster who is interested in my masters and hopefully will produce them

  16. Hey John: I did this engine a couple of years ago, but I think its a mix of Tamiya orange, they offer two shades and mixed them until I got it close. Hope that helps.
  17. I have made an accurate cross ram for the wedge engines and cast them in resin. I put the correct frees plugs and bolts molded in IF is get time I will cast some and if you are interested, I will sell some although I am not in the business.
  18. Thanks Tim, you are absolutely right! I am a believer you don't comment until you actually have the kit in your hands!
  19. I have these hubcaps that were casted in resin, but I have them for a while and forgot where they came from. I will using them on my 63 Plymouth Savoy.
  20. Nice work Jason, now I have to finish mine up. What color combination are you shooting for? By the I have mastered a correct wedge cross ram manifold if you are interested I can cast one for you.
  21. BTW, Scale Equipment used my original masters for some of their wheels.
  22. I have been working on various wheels to better detail paint them and mix-match rims and trim rings...here are the Magnum 500 wheels I have casted in resin as separate components. This way I can have Magnums with trim rings and exposed rims to chrome.
  23. I'm with you Nick. What everyone is failing to mention is that the JoHan bodies were very well proportioned and had great detail, among the best of their time.
  24. Thanks Tim, Bob and Dr Jay. I am hoping to get this one done in time for the NNL East. I'm using the Lindberg chassis but I corrected the shock mounts in the engine compartment with the prototypical correct style. The chassis had to be shortened about 3/16 and the door panels have been scribed to match the actual plain Jane interior. I may take a chance to draw up the dash gauge panel, speaker grill and scripts for photo etching, that will be tricky though. I mastered a wedge cross ram manifold to be more accurate that has the correct plugs and surface features and cast it in resin. I haven't decided on the colors yet but leaning to white with a blue interior.
  25. Dr. Jay I'm working on a 62 Dart Super Stock with full detail as well. Here is the dash and side panel I scribed. I included the body as well working it as a master to hopefully have it casted for resin.
