HOK does need to be shot over automotive primer. Most of HOK paints are basecoats and do need to be cleared. I also see orange peel but no crazing . You do have to color sand it before the clear. Don't worry about color sanding metallic paint. It looks like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH when you are done but comes to life after the clear. You will be amazed. I am gonna paint my Aventador using HOK Galaxy Grey Metallic Basecoat If all goes well I post it here next week.

BEAUTIFUL !!!

I used made a Epoxy cylinder head using Silly Putty . I just pressed the head into the putty and filled it with JB Weld the 24 hour cure. While far from perfect. A little bit of sanding and it was useable .

Of course I know he is dead. Is the family hurting for money? Family feud over his will? Expand Shelby America? Donate the money to the Shelby Foundation or some other charity? Who knows. Maybe the reason will come out at the auction. Even though there is no comparison I still have the first dollar my dad made from his body shop. Wouldn't the Shelby family want to keep the first car? Maybe they are not that sentimental. Mike

Great job. The engine is killer {wash} I think that there is some sort of production flaw with those decals. The white ones I wanted to use just cracked apart. The black ones also cracked. But like you I saved it.
