    Yes it is the Revell kit. I would recommend it. I know what you mean about box art. Sometimes the box art is so goofy looking it is hard to get past it. Thanks for the comment.

    Because of the way that the hood attaches to the body. I did not want to try and remove it because the hinges are fragile and would probably crack off . With hood on I can't see what is preventing the hood not to close all the way. I think that I might glue the hood shut.
