  4. I am trying to build a Gotha WW1 bomber. The rear bulkheads fit ok. But the forward ones don't fit, too wide. Even the steering assembly is too wide. Help Mike
  5. I have been to MId-America and bought a 1:24 slot car. I usually go to the Logan Ave track in Belvedere IL about 20 minutes from my house. They don't have much in the way of aftermarket stuff. So off to Mid America! Thanks Mike
  6. I am looking for modern style 1:35th buildings. They could be Lazer cut put together ones. I have only seen war buildings. Mike

  8. I was on Facebook Market site looking for Carrera Go parts. So that I could expand it. Then I saw that this Evolution set, and it was offered for $50.00. I jumped on it. Picked up from the seller the same day. Yesterday I set up the track and still have to do some shimming work and decorating.
  9. Nice cars. Where did you get the interiors from? I have a 1:24th slot car with a Lexan body held in place with Velcro. I have been contemplating which hard body to use. I was thinking of using one of those Super Stock bodies. I have so much to choose from. Mike

  15. There was a low-level mid-air collision between the 2 at a Dallas Air Show yesterday. The Air Show is an annual Veterans Day affair. The polit of the King Cobra is being blamed for the crash. He was flying too close to the B-17. Regardless of who is to blame it is such a tragedy. Mike
  16. Saying to myself I am only buying and building one kit at a time. Now have 50 car models and some military kits to be built. I bet a lot of guys started out down this path. Mike
  17. I watch Mecum Auto Auction for inspiration. Especially paint colors. Paint chips are Ok, but you can't beat seeing the real thing. I am building a 1969 442 which is painted Hugger Orange with the kit's white decals and the soon to arrive Keith Marks white set. I would have never even thought of a Hugger Orange 442 until I saw one on Mecum. It is spectacular !!!! Mike
  18. Me being a Baby Boomer I would go back in time to piolet a P51 Mustang.
  19. My wife and I went to South Dakota, and we visited the Ellsworth Air Force Base the home of the B1 and the outdoor and indoor museums. We had the privilege of seeing a B1 coming low and fast to land. Another taking off fast and high. We also went to a Minute Man Missel silo. Mike
  20. I agree false advertising Thanks for your comment Mike
  21. I didn't see or read that discussion. I will pay more attention to kit reviews Thank you for the comment Mike
  22. I am not trying to accomplish anything other getting some response from Revell about my question. Curtis Mayfield sang "If you don't try you gonna die" {Freddies Dead} It just rubbed me the wrong way Thanks for your comment Mike
