  1. Maybe I will give it another look. From the pre-views it looks like they are racing at Drag Strips? Mike I know that one was scripted. One of their friends wore a rent a cop uniform and drove up in a Crown Vic. It sure got their attention for about 60 seconds. Mike
  2. Running from and getting busted by the cops was in the very beginning. It was funny when the cops showed up and they were trying to load up the cars back into their trailers. I can't remember if any of the cars got confiscated
  3. I think that it is just the natural evolution of people's tastes . Old Geezers vs Young Guns. Mike
  4. Scale auto Finishes has Y2 Yellow
  5. They did post a detailed account here about closing down the business ?
  6. I agree. I stopped watching it after 3 episodes What is the point of street racing Door Slammers on the street and running away from the cops? Mike
  7. If I remember right, they did try to sell the business. But had no luck.
  8. Slixx has a number of contingencies sheets
  9. Charles, That was posted in 2016. I wonder if Edelbrock's lawyers came knocking on his door with Cease-and-Desist court order? Mike
  10. Rex, My mirrors go on last. There is too much of a chance of knocking them off during final assembly I have knocked of stuff while taking pictures of my cars. I pin them as much as possible. These mirrors are much too small to pin. Mike
  11. Nice work. I am building one now. Mine is gonna be Black Jade. Those sport mirrors are the smallest that I have seen. Did you have any problems gluing them to the doors? Mike
  12. Does the Trading Post seem to be slow with not a lot of trades happening? Mike
  13. 1971 Mustang Boss 351 (New Tooling) 1/25 Revell (megahobby.com)
  14. I found a picture of rear view of the 59 Impala. It has a date of 10/1957. And some of the clay mockups. How GM‘s Radical 1959 Chevrolet Came to Be – Dean’s Garage (deansgarage.com)
  15. I have always wondered why most of GM's 1958 cars are one offs. You can see the styling que throughout the whole line up. The money spent to manufacture them must been of outrageous. Mike
  16. Very KOOL!!! Did the decals come with kit? She is my favorite Superhero. I'll take a bad girl over a good girl any time.
  17. I am the best at holding a ladder, running for parts, grab a tool and of course the beer run. I can't cut a straight line with a hand saw, forget trying to hammer a nail without bending it. So, I am no DIY person, and I am at the mercy of the car dealer. But I can build a great model car. One day paper pushers will rule the world. LOL Mike
  18. With today's car if they won't start, they have to be towed to a repair shop. I watch and attend Mecum Auctions. Used European luxury cars are affordable for $20,000 you get a very nice car. An inspection can run into the thousands. Brake job, new belts, alignment, and that rattling sound when you turn a corner. Point is: A used foreign car may seem like a bargain until it needs repairs Mike
  19. You are right. Keep all of the letters. Rummaging around the letters. There are some that my grandmother wrote to my dad. A few from her to my uncle George. Kool stuff ! Mike
  20. My dad passed about 12 years ago. He had an In-Law apartment in my brother's house. My brother sold his house last month and found my dad's stash of 3 WW2 Amo boxes full of silver,20 gold coins, and a huge stamp collection. The coin collection value I can figure out. I have no idea even where to start with the stamp collection. There are letters written to my grandparents during WW2.Letters written from people we don't know. Full books of stamps, sheets, and roles. Pounds of stamps. Any help with the stamp collection would be appreciated. Mike
  21. I use the Metallizer Aluminum Plate for a primer. Block sanding is the way to go. If I see any metallizer at HL I aways pick up a couple of cans. Last count I have 11. Mike
  22. Kutza drug store in Chicago was, hardware store, candy store, comic bookstore and model store. No models were over $1.98. The Testors bottles where 10 cents, glue was 15 cents and spray cans were 50 cents. I see a lot of car kits going for over $100.00. I am not cheap but a $100.00 for a model car kit is too rich for my blood. Mike
  23. Now we are talking 428 Tri Power
