  1. Ooooo! I have one of those that I'd let go for half price!
  2. Wait ... what? Working scratch-built rack and pinion steering? That settles it, where did I put that case of snap kits?
  3. Hands down, 'The Rodder's Journal', others as the spirit moves me.
  4. I guess the best way to answer that question would be for someone to bite the bullet, buy something from him and then report back to the forum. No, I'm not volunteering.
  5. Thank you, Tom, much appreciated!
  6. Title says it all: Does any resin caster do a 60s-70s era Chevy 6 cylinder? Thanx
  7. I don't let NASCAR affect where I shop or what I buy. For me NAPA's my go-to store. I have an old (1953) Plymouth and they can get what I need; the other (chain) parts store don't seem to realize that they made cars before about 1980 .
  8. Sad commentary, indeed, that some people may find other ways of remembering that day other than posting to model car forum.
  9. I remember the mailman bringing me cool stuff like that; now all he brings are bills.
  10. Good! Leaves more for me! I love 'em. When I was in college way back in 19xx, we made a dorm floor run from Rolla to St. Louis to pick up about 300 sliders to bring back. Was a good road trip.
  11. Interesting! Only drawbacks are it currently takes a trip to Germany to be scanned and the smallest replica is 1/12 scale. Other than that it's pretty freakin' awesome!
  12. And they're wondering why you don't answer them!
  13. Sorry ... didn't read the rest of the thread ... nothing to see here.
  14. My daughter says "Rainbow Dash!"
  15. You would think that, wouldn't you? Unfortunately, that is apparently NOT the way the whiz-kid corporate IP lawyers think. It's all about protecting intellectual property, not good-will advertising.
  16. And such a beautiful design to steal.
  17. This is probably the most lucid and concise post in the entire thread! Bravo, Lee!
  18. Ben. Seriously, why do you keep haranguing us with these "you don't KNOW what will sell" and "how can you be certain it won't sell" posts? This forum is, by and large, car modelers with some heavy truck modelers thrown in for variety. WE are not the people who make the production decisions and you overestimate the importance of internet forums in the decision making process. Contact the manufacturers; make your case with them. I can't speak for anyone else but for me, this thread has ceased to be entertaining. I can tell you this for fact, and this is a data point of exactly "one", the only construction machinery kit I would buy is a skid loader (and I think there is a 1/24 or 1/25 die cast available). Farm equipment, I'm a vintage fan; give me an old Farm-all, Ford 8N or 9N or Oliver series 66 Orchard tractor (they have the hugest, coolest skirts). But, alas, NOBODY is making them that I am aware of. Beyond that, there's not a lot in the construction/farm category that I'd be willing to spend money on
  19. Nope! The real car's been out for several years now and no model company has touched it; not Revell Germany (you would think being in Europe they would have a handle on demand), no Japanese company has touched it and they seem to simply LOVE anything exotic like that. Seems to me the last Bugatti "supercar" was Monogram's EB110 and that kit was darn near sale-proof from the get go.
  20. Yes, I honestly believe that a newly tooled state-of-the-art kit of a Pinto would be a sales disaster, and I LIKE Pintos; I owned three of them. I also think that new tools of a 1992 Dodge Shadow, 1994 Saturn SC2, 1953 Plymouth and any one of a number of other commonplace cars would bomb in a rather impressive fashion. In the realm of more popular cars, I'd like to see a 1968 Camaro Rally Sport, a 1967 Chevelle 300 Sedan, a 67 El Camino. Why aren't these being done (they would be existing tool variants)? I have no idea. How about any new era Ford Focus? New Dodge Dart? Again, no idea but I'm sure the model manufacturers have their reasons and I have a backlog to last me until I'm about 900 years old.
  21. What puzzles me is why anyone would think arguing about it on an internet forum will accomplish anything. What I'm seeing is four or five guys, apparently representing tens of thousands of modelers, posting over and over and hoping that the manufacturers will see their posts and take them seriously. Interesting thread ... carry on.
  22. Jimmy Flintstone offers that body in resin.
  23. Nope! I'll be changin' me skivvies ever' day, jest like always!
  24. That's to keep you from getting sleepy!
