  1. THIS!! The Landmaster from Damnation Alley. The ultimate offroad vehicle!
  2. They are so cute, and you can tell they absolutely hate each other!
  3. Not a model car, but it is 1/24 scale. How many of you have seen one of these? This is the only one I've ever seen. Note the Pocher connection.
  4. Awww ... she's a cutie! You've been officially adopted!
  5. Guess we all better get to learning 3D drafting, eh?
  6. I don't want a pickle, I just wanna ride my motorcicle And I don't want a tickle, I just wanna ride my motorcicle And I don't wanna die, I'd much rather ride on my motorcy ...... cle And,no, I still don't know the significance of the pickle
  7. Builder says it was done because no one else has the gonads to do it. I think it's more like no one else is stupid enough; supposedly a $150,000 car.
  8. "Me and Bubba went to the bar." "Santa gave my brother and I a present." AAAAAaaaaaargh!
  9. I think Gramps answered the question with these three words "Chinese made product". You get what you get from them and it's not their problem. I remember a few years back when Hot Wheels were testing for high levels of heavy metals in the paint. Mattel had to apologize to the Chinese for what the Chinese manufacturers had done. What they had done wrong was somehow Mattel's fault.
  10. I've been hearing his voice throughout this thread. I miss him.
  11. Ack!!! Argh!!! Bad Harry; no doughnuts for you!
  12. This has always been one of my favorites and it explains SOOOOO much! What if I'd prefer NOT to be serviced but rather merely served? Oh, and what about these guys who "service" my cars???
  13. Why, yes he is! Even my 10-year old says so.
  14. I believe he was also racing one in SCCA autocross events for a time.
  15. If you're feeling left out, I can always box up the 8 or so burned out ones we've got around here waiting to go to the recycler; just send me your address.
  16. That Charger is what them Duke boys REALLY wanted!
  17. My first response was "Black Cats! Lots of Black Cats!" But, truth be told, I haven't done that since I was 10. I have a few on display (usually the newest builds) and the rest are packed securely away.
  18. Spare parts. And I love the delicately arranged lamp cord.
  19. OK, as far as getting the dates exactly correct, we moved from that neighborhood before I was in 8th grade (would have been 1972), cousin had the Mopar when we moved, I may have been 9, maybe 10, maybe 11; hard to remember 42 years ago with any clarity especially since I wasn't really much into cars (that was a few years down the road). All I remember is it was a kinda green car with a totally ugly multi-colored vinyl top. It took the place of a blue 1959-60 Chevy Convertible. I thought the convertible was much cooler!
  20. I'm probably alone in this but I was 10 years old when I first saw one of those tops. A cousin bought a Challenger with the Mod Top. Being 10, and an honest, outspoken child, I hurt my cousin's feelings by telling her that it was hideous. My opinion hasn't changed.
  21. I saw that! I gotta have me one of them! Just a thought, though. This was a HOBBY show, not just a Model Car Show. We got most of our good news last week and we already knew Revell wasn't going to be there. There are some jewels from Round 2, just look through Tom's pictures and you'll find them.
  22. So was Arizona!
  23. Very nice! Reminds me of this one I did years back, which Gregg was kind enough to put in the magazine (my first and, so far, only).
