Aoshima Rocket Bunny 86 kit whats in the box review pg5
Austin T replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I just now noticed this but why are there (What looks to be) exhaust cutouts below the door if rear exhaust is what the car has? -
Theres some really good stuff in there. I loved the Porsche art/display.

"Low-tus" Europa Special... final assembly!
Austin T replied to jaymcminn's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I love Europa's. It was actually the first Tamiya kit I ever built. I really enjoyed building it and I'm itching for another one to build. I built mine as a Lotus 47 because I loved the look of the real one, I actually have a picture on myself next to the real 47 race car. Please forgive the poor quality of the model, I believe this was the third model I built -
Ooooooh. That's a nice haul. I really want a few of those. I actually had three Initial D kits, the 86 and two different rx-7's. I sold them to a friend because I wasn't into them, but now I'm getting into Initial D and wish I had them back.

Thinking about building this one in scale. It's a 1966 Karman Ghia with a 911 flatnose roof and a whale tale. Just a simple rendering I made in paint.net.

Very nice. I love the look of the old Porsche's and this one is sweet.

Here's a new idea I just came up with. You may notice that many people want to know where a hobby shop is if they are going somewheres they don't usually go so they ask someone on the forum or start a topic. My Idea is to start a topic that is pinned and it only contains info about hobby shops in your area, that way if someone wants to find a hobby shop quick they can just come here and look for the area they might be in. I would like to have a format so that everything in nice, neat, and easy to find. It goes like this: ***(Please keep this for hobby shops, not Micheal or Hobby Lobby) 1.Name of shop: 2.Address: 3.General comments: 4.Website(If available): I will start us off with three that I like. 1. Bobe's Hobby house 2.5719 North "W" Street Pensacola, FL 32505 3. Bobe's has a nice assortment of models, although mostly military he has some excellent automotive kits. Bobe also carries vintage and OOP kits when he can find them. There is a wide selection of paint and a nice assortment of aftermarket parts. 4.http://www.bobeshobbyhouse.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.John's models 2.1206 E Kingsfield Road, Cantonment, FL 32533 3. John's is off the beaten track but well worth it. His shop is connected to the back of his house and he is a part time hobby shop so make sure to check his hours before you go. John has a great selection of vintage, rare, and current kits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. HobbyTown USA (Murfreesboro Tn location) 2.536 N Thompson Ln Murfreesboro, TN 37129 3. This HobbyTown USA carries a good selection of paints and supplies. As for models It's just regular current production kits. The owner is a really nice guy who knows the hobbies pretty well.

Aoshima Rocket Bunny 86 kit whats in the box review pg5
Austin T replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Sweet! I thought it was a conversion kit the whole time. I'm assuming that it's curbside then. Thanks for telling me because I was about to get both kits! -
Well I finally got back from vacation. I enjoyed it but I'm glad to be back on the bench. Here are some things I recently scored. The Ghia and the Fiat are from John's models in pensacola FL, I highly recommend going if your ever in his neck of the woods. The monza was a gift from a friend. And all of the tools are from a discount tool store.

Does this have to be used on the Aoshima kit or can it be used on the Tamiya kit? -

Austin T replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Ooohh. That very temping. I'm not into newer tuners to much but I really like the look of the Rocket bunny kits. I wasn't gonna pay up the ridiculous price for one but this is way more affordable. Isn't the car only like 30 bucks or so? -
Very Nice. I really like the way this one is turning out. It would look really sinister with tinted windows.

Ray that boat builds up into a decent kit. I built one a few years back and really enjoyed it. It's great for a quick build.

1980 VW Pick - Up
Austin T replied to Antikainen's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Really Nice. -
I've been looking up info on these and I think it's really cool. Only two problem I have are the size and how am I going to get the polished aluminium finish. I'm gonna build it someday when my skills reach the level I want them to.

Mixed emotions, Friendship, and a 70' Cougar
Austin T replied to Austin T's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Don't even get me started on model dealers snatching up collections. Lets just say there are a few a swap meets I refuse to buy from now because of how low they go to get product. As for the Cougar It was my fault for giving up the info. He enjoys it and is making it into something vs me slowly making it something with cheap parts. Jason is still a friend of mine, I've forgiven him for buying the car. And just to clarify he did not TAKE the car out from under me, he just got it for a price that make me a little upset, I had not made an offer yet. As for him taking my girlfriend (If I had one) that would kinda be weird considering i'm 17 and he's in his mid 50's.
