  1. Tomorrow is the show!
  2. Hello I am in one of the towns right next to Smyrna, Murfreesboro. I don't really know of any good suburbs in Smyrna because I don't go there often but it is a great little town. If you do move down here and continue modeling there is a club in Murfreesboro that is great.
  3. That's one of my favorite Top gear moments other then the red reliant.
  4. Mules?......I thought we were talking about Mustangs.
  5. Looks cool until you hydroplane on that rear wheel and lose the bike.Other then that they look cool.
  6. Here is a rare one,I can't even pin point who made it. This is George Barris's Kopper Kart, looks like the casting was made sometime in the 80's.\
  7. What have they done to the Mustang! That looks like something made by an electric car designer. He must have said "Lets get a car with a legendary reputation as a nice looking car and smear that on the ground. We can make it look like it's turning into a hatchback, put HUGE flares on the wheelwells, and make the front end look like the new ford hybrids!" I really like the look of the 08-13 Mustangs, you could see where the roots of it's design came from, now they have just killed it.
  8. When I saw what it looked like and the name I thought the "la" in "Laferrari" stood for Lamborghini.
  9. A basic quick thing you can do is weather with pastel powders. You buy the pastel chalk from and artist store and grind the colors you want into a fine power. Then you get an old worn out paint brush and blot/ brush it on to say a chassis. If you mess up you just use water to remove it. Here is a basic road worn chassis that I did on my Hudson Hornet.
  10. I have a buddy who has an old Chevy pick up promo that has warped down in the middle, providing a fairly realistic representation of what old Chevy work horses look like today.
  11. Both wheels are amazing, but I think you should go with the web.
  12. Very sharp,Always have liked the cafe racer style some of those old bike had.
  13. Great job on a constantly over looked car. I would do just about anything to get a real 70-74 Javelin or AMX,they are just so cool. Jake you can find them on the 'bay for around 20-40 bucks. I have one molded in that same hideous green color I snagged for around 20 bucks.
  14. Ask anyone who knows me and they will say I'm not a Corvette guy,I look the other way when I see them. But this is an amazing build, great paint and finish. What paints did you use for that Kandy Apple Red?
  15. Man what a deal,I have been to model shows where I have had to lay down 20 bucks before I can get in and set up my models!
  16. Congratulations on your awards.I enjoy going to shows and participating, awards are just icing on the cake.
  17. No problem,I'll just catch you at the next show. After Cookeville I might be going to Brimingham.
  18. Some nice ideas here guys,if I mention an idea and the rest of the club likes it I will make sure to give credit where due.
  19. So I take it you don't have Moebius's Hudson Hornet planned anytime in your future. When I built mine I spent a good week on and off foiling the entire car. Jimmy Flintstone even makes a station wagon resin body for it if your a wagon guy.
  20. That is a very nice orange, reminds me of Harley Davidson's 2012 color "Tequila sunrise" just not as much flake. Will I see this one Saturday in Cookeville? I know some guys that would love to see this one and your blue one there.
  21. The club I am in has a yearly show and we have always had a theme.Only problem is we can't think of a a theme that covers a broad spectrum of models (Armor,planes,&cars/trucks) for this years show in November. Last years show theme was "The Fabulous 50's". I am asking you guys for suggestions mainly because I can't think of or find anything that covers the two main genres of models entered, cars and military.Any suggestions will be appreciated.
  22. Are you scratching all of this? This is just some amazing work!
  23. Very sharp,I really need to get one of these kits. I think it'd do good in a show, easily get an award of some kind.
  24. I thought that the Bonnie & Clyde car was dismantled by the locals who wanted a souvenir shortly after the shooting.
