  1. ok cool...thats what i was planning on doing...I am having to recreate the original rectangle turn signal, like the non rs camaros....any idea on what you will do for the bumper? i am looking forward to seeing that as well...keep up the good work
  2. I have been checking the site out..and will probably order a few sets of the bigger tires...wont go on the camaro build, but im sure i can find a place for them. As far as the 235/60/15 goes, it will be too small..I have 275/60/15 on my car, and trying to replicate it...so i guess i will have to just use a drag slick or something that is close. thanks
  3. How did you remove the turn signals from beside the headlights? i am replicating my 1:1 camaro and will have to do that as well...thanks
  4. LOVE the color...about what my Camaro is going to be I would love to get this kit, but not quite enough moneys lol...look forward to seeing this one to the end...keep up the good work also- i had one on GT5 about the same color....wish i still had the game...
  5. Got the Revell 69 Nova SS kit from George53...thanks again man
  6. They look great, but afraid they are too big...my 1:1 camaro has a little smaller tire on back. These just wouldn't loik right..thanks guys
  7. ok thanks...i will see what he says...
  8. Does anyone make 275-60-15 tires? need some for he back of my Camaro build....or anything that would be close? thanks
  9. the leaf springs go under the rear end on the camaros, so it would be pushing the rear end up into the wheel wells. I was looking at my 1:1 and figured out I need to use longer shackles to lift the rear end up for bigger tires...which i plan on doing. thanks again
  10. That's just it, i have the Nova kit on the way, but don't want to rob cowl hood and cut it up, I plan on using it on the Nova lol....I have a line on a resin scoop about like this one, hoping it works out. thanks
  11. ok thanks...that is what i was thinking, but wasn't sure
  12. looking for something close to this hood
  13. I was noticing there are 2 rear ends in this kit...one seems to have more material were the springs mount? What would be the outcome of using it over the other one...pic below so you know what I am talking about...thanks
  14. I've seen that one before, but unfortunatley not the kind I'm looking for. I have the old school 2 3/4" square cowl hood on the 1:1 car I am trying to replicate...thanks though
  15. i was wondering if anyone made a cowl hood for the 70 1/2 Camaro? I know there are Outlaw hoods and custom cowl hoods on eBay, but I am looking for more of a stock looking hood. Needing one with a scoop about 3" in scale. thanks
  16. Ok I tried scratch building a front bumper...and didn't come out very good....I had to glue two 1mm thick styrene sheets together to get the right thickness....and got the shape roughly drawn out, but after getting it cut down, I couldn't get the final shaping to look anything right...ended up snapping it in half trying to shape it..I guess I will have to just wait and try to salvage an old kit...anyone think they could scratch one up...I would be happy to trade some stuff for the time
  17. Got the 67 Chevelle Pro Street kit that I traded Joe for....thanks again also my 2 yr old nieces feet....LOL....also got to watch her for the day lol....
  18. ok thanks...i will pick some up next time i am at the store...
  19. Yeah but they are the Outlaw hoods...don't want anything that tall...IMHO it looks like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH when people put htose tall hoods on a plain street car. Just looking for a factory type cowl hood... 2 3/4" is what the one pictured is. Yeah I have heard that also...although I am not too worried about the finish being show quality...but I have found some styrene scoops I will try and use first. thanks
  20. Ace-Garageguy -- thanks for the info, i will see about getting a set of the files you mentioned. I had figured on just filling the turn signls in with filler, but it probably would be better to use styrene as the major filler, then smooth everything up. Would you use the files to knock down the raised portions of the turn signals? I am hoping to find a kit bumper, at-least one I could use for a template...I am not too great at scratch building stuff like that..but will give it a try if I have to. I know it will take quite a bit of work to transform this front end, but no way am I going to spend the ridiculous amount of money for the old MPC kit on evil-bay lol. This will be a long tern project, as I do not have everything I need yet. Just figured I would get some suggestions on how to do stuff, so when it came time, I would have an idea of what I was doing. plowboy -- The hood scoop is really thin plastic and kind of flimsy, and hollow. I had planned on cutting the center of the hood out, for clearance, but with this scoop being so thin, IDK if I will be able to. I was planning on using some 5 min epoxy to bond the scoop to the hood...then go back with filler to smooth everything out.
  21. Looks good...Ya cant go wrong with an old hot rod...
  22. First off I have the newest issue of the AMT 70 1/2 Camaro and I am going to be replicating my 1:1 71 Camaro... My first concern is turning the split bumper front end into the full bumper front end. I need to move the front turn signals from beside the headlights to the lower valance. I also need to take off 2mm from the grille surround...I have it marked out with tape - the outside tape edge will be the new nose edge. I was just wondering how I would go about doing that? any and all comments/suggestions are welcomed.. Also I need to remove the trunk lid emblem and the trim on top of the doors...any idea on those? I need to go from this front end \/ \/ to this front end \/ \/
  23. Got 2 cowl scoops...now to try and create a 2" cowl hood for my Camaro...
  24. The good ole "Chevy" LT-5...they had to get lotus to design them, because the Turbo V6 Grand Nationals were out running the Corvettes LMAO....I also have an LT5 I plan on stuffing in a 70s Muscle car
  25. I just got my kit like this in the mail....It is definately better than the last kit of this car I had....Will be following your build...and hopefully starting my own soon...keep up the good work
