  1. That. Stuff. Is. Amazing. ...That is all.
  2. Pretty beastly there, doc! I wonder what you'll come up with this time!
  3. You can still build the 1:35, if you want- as long as you take some time to build the top half of the engine (since they already come with the bottom half molded ) I can't wait to start seeing the stuff you guys come up with
  4. I am now an exterminator, go me!

  5. ...as far as I've seen, we're the kit stash in our neighborhood >.< BUT! Hobbytown is only a bridge crossing away! They certainly wouldn't have any need for their inventory in the event of the apocalypse
  6. If it's a smart phone, they have photobucket apps now! Also, fotki apps. When I was without a computer for a week waiting on the internet company, that app saved me some posting withdrawals.
  7. The one thing that makes me hate going into the LHS nowadays is the fujimi and italeri kit prices- 48 bucks for the technical pickup I want to eventually build... from italeri.... and I've heard some -really- good things about fujimi kits- been wanting to try one but the price range on them is around 35-40 bucks. well, eventually I'll get out of this financial rut and be able to put some money down on one or two without wondering "do I -really- want to eat ramen this week??"
  8. Thanks to Olskoolrodder, I'll be able to start work on the next technical very soon. This time around, I will do more in-depth posts with better step-by-step pics (don't worry, I won't post -every- step, just the basics and the stuff I modify) that way you all can get a better idea of how i do my builds. Thanks again to Olskoolrodder!
  9. I always put it in this order (for hobby monies, anyhow)- 1. Kit. If it's on clearance, and I want it, I will get it. 2. Primer. 3. Styrene sheet and rods 4.New x-acto blades 5. Kit. If it's expensive, I will get other things instead first. Normally, I rely on trades for kits. You know this well, DC!
  10. Not much, just waiting on me to get the kit I can't seem to find anywhere but online, and for some of the other guys on here to get their stuff together too You should try it out! I think you'd enjoy yourself immensely.
  11. In a pinch, I'd rely heavier on something that shoots rather than something that bludgeons or cuts. Unfortunately, you have to take into account the "herd". Gunfire will draw them to you! The trade off for immediate results can be daunting- but It's better to have the ability to quickly dispatch the living dead shambling their way towards your encampment, rather than having to hack your way through waves of hungry zombies. ....Your machete arm will get tired eventually, and then will become a snack. A good bit of reading that will make things easier- But let's not make this a p***ing contest, and keep it in good fun! ...even though I know I have my own personal "Z-Day" plan for when it really does go down
  12. not a bad selection at all! My selection would be the WA2000 (if i could ever get hold of one!) rifle, Remington 870, Beretta M92FS, and a Colt Python.
  13. This is amazing, Manny! I'm gonna have to take some tips from you on bullet holes in the glass and body. I can do 'em, I just have a little trouble gettin' 'em right!
  14. I'll also add that I checked out the instruction book online- this kit looks like a lot of fun to build. Plenty of options and details!
  15. I've decided on the next kit I want to use- Unfortunately, I didn't see it at my LHS last trip. Bugger, it'd make an awesome base for a technical.
  16. Recoiless is a nice way to go, G! I look forward to seeing it in progress once ya get started.
  17. Good morning everyone- How's everyone coming along? I'd love to hear what ideas you've got for your build!
  18. Howdy folks, just poppin' in to let you know I'm alive- Just got done movin' back in with my folks- fun times indeed. I swear our pillowtop mattress must weigh a metric ton, and on top of that it rained on the way out :\ But I'm settling back in, got half of everything unpacked Good to see you guys getting into conversations! I'll be back on in a bit to see what's up after I get some more stuff unpacked.
  19. I was in a ###### mood last night, Sorry for the rash decision. Topic is re-opened, and participation is welcome. Happy Modeling!
  20. Getting ready to move again.

  21. For right now, I drive a tan '91 Toyota Camry XD. Who knows what it'll be in a few months...
  22. Some people haven't grown out of the time when we had to pay for every text, and could only use 60 characters per text- Nowadays, with smart phones and unlimited plans, you don't have to shorten things so much- unfortunately some people still haven't caught up... Heh, I still didn't shorten my texts back then, now that I think of it...
  23. it's got a '40 ford truck front end with the wheel wells cut off, and large truck wheels. The top fits loosely, but that will be fixed later on in the process. I am especially fond of the hellfire missile pod I added- it's not meant for zombies I'm torn between building a platform that doubles as a panel for the opening by the operator console, that can fold down for easy escape; or putting in 'bulletproof' glass. I have the tank treads ready to be put on after paint and details.
  24. Man, I just realized how long it's been since I posted anything related to this thread. Here's the 'Mobile Command Halftrack' in primer, which started as a simple railcar-with-tank-treads completely scratched up from styrene and a tiger tank bottom-(by my dad) more past the break...
  25. You just made me shudder a little bit, Ed.
