  1. Correct again! But technically it's "Baby's in Black"... as in my baby is dressed in black. Not babies dressed in black!
  2. "Nowhere Man" by some nobodies...
  3. Another "nobody" who nails it... "More Than a Feeling"... a very hard song to sing for any vocalist. You really need some big time range to do this one justice, and this guy has what it takes...
  4. Another great example. These guys, whoever they are, could give Boston a run for their money any time. The lead singer hits all the high notes that the late Brad Delp did... and that is no easy task!
  5. Another example. I have no idea who these people are, but their harmonies are fantastic...
  6. I love searching youtube for cover versions of famous songs by big name artists done by people nobody has ever heard of. There is an amazing amount of talented people posting videos of themselves doing their versions of well-known songs that are in many cases as good as, or even better, than the version we all know. I'm not talking about professional cover bands or "tribute bands" that actually tour and make money doing covers... I'm talking about regular "non-professional" people who just happen to be talented and post on youtube. Perfect example. The Beatles' "Yes It Is" done by a complete "nobody"...
  7. "She thinks of him, and so she dresses in black. And though he'll never come back, she's dressed in black"...
  8. Yeah, but I keep trying!
  9. Acting!!!! Thank You!!!
  10. Everybody has an accent. But the thing is, you don't think of yourself as the one with the accent... it's everyone else that has one. I can identify a Noo Yawkuh immediately. Or someone from Lawnguyland. Same with someone from Baaahstun. Or a Valley grrrl, fer sure.. Or someone from Minnisoooohduh. But I'm sure they could all just as quickly ID me as a guy from the midwest.
  11. "Some say there's a Jesus, some men say there ain't. When you got no life to lose then there's nothin' left to gain"...
  12. Ok, that's about as different as different gets!
  13. Not only does she nail the accents, but she's very easy on the eyes!
  14. The "heard?" Or the "herd?"
  15. Billy Joel and his band doing a really nice tribute to Genn Frey at a concert last month...with the whole crowd singing long. RIP Glenn...
  16. "Papa, don't you worry now, and mama, don't you cry… Sweet woman don't forsake me, I'll be comin' by and by"...
  17. Same here.
  18. You know, with the fast paced lifestyle we all lead these days, with technological advances coming at us fast and furious, with more changes than some of us are comfortable with–or can even keep up with, there's something very comforting in the fact that some "old fashioned" things (like home milk delivery) are still with us.
  19. Correct! I once read that Johnny Carson had the perfect "American" accent... the nondescript midwestern accent that has the least quirks in pronunciation and sounds the most like "standard" American English as defined in the dictionary's pronunciation guides.. BTW... I have that same midwestern accent.. Bill... Dave Wannstedt used to be the head coach of the Bears. He had a really strong Pennsylvania accent... those of us in Chicago could immediately tell he was from "somewhere else"...
  20. $1.32 at Mobil today.
  21. No matter what chair you use, I agree with Bill... get up every hour or two, take a break, stretch... sitting for too long in any chair isn't good for you.
  22. My thoughts exactly.
