  1. It's considered bad forum form to "toot your own horn" that way.
  2. Exactly. Why do you keep bumping this back up?
  3. And the soundtrack will be available on 8 track.
  4. Jeff, I suggest you send Virgil Suarez (forum name Dr. Cranky) a PM. He's been weathering models for years and he can give you a lot of good information.
  5. Only in the "director's cut."
  6. At McDonalds drive-thru, yes, you hand over your card. But you don''t have to sign anything.
  7. Oh, I got outta bed, wise guy! Actually, I spent part of the day installing the new garage door opener my son bought for me.
  8. Ditto on the "babe in '57." And Ward must have been a happy camper.... June wore a pearl necklace all the time...
  9. On a positive note... nothing irked me today.
  10. He should have made it clear, if he did any mods to the diecast. Going by this post alone, I had no idea.
  11. I agree. Go, Moebius, go!
  12. Well, since I'm running the card through the swiper myself, and the cashier never touches it, what's the diff if it's signed or not? About the only place I can think of where I still have to hand the card to the clerk and they swipe it is Hobbytown, no place else. And at HT they have never looked to see if the card is signed.
  13. I don't remember hearing anything about the glass not fitting, exhaust is wrong, etc. What did I miss?
  14. I don't think he built it. I think it's a 1/18 scale diecast model... like the topic title says.
  15. I've never heard of a bank refusing to accept a check from someone who doesn't have an account at that bank. That's very odd.
  16. Or the fact that the car has a normal internal-combustion engine, but a jet engine afterburner... Or the fact that the Batmobile had no wipers and no way to close the canopies. I guess Batman only chased the bad guys on sunny days!
  17. And jolly good humour at that, eh, govnuh?
  18. The problem in this country is that just about all you need to be able to do to get a license is have the ability to fog a mirror. Actual driving skills are apparently optional but not required, at least from what I see on the road daily.
  19. What colour are they?
  20. That's the upside of driverless cars. We get the clueless drivers out of there...
  21. Exactly. In the chassis shot I didn't see anything linking the front wheels to the steering wheel. Neat model, though. I like it.
  22. I agree with Bill... I don't see us switching to driverless cars in any sort of across-the-board way. Too many technical problems, hundreds of millions of "regular" cars on the road (would they be made illegal?)...too may issues, period. What about the auto insurance industry? They're not going to give up their billions of profit without a fight... but if the cars are driverless, who is at fault in a crash? Why would we need insurance at all (aside from maybe insuring the car itself for damage or loss), if nobody is driving the car? Maybe one day we'll see "drone" cars here and there... maybe as taxis or small urban delivery vehicles, for example. Maybe even as large over-the-road haulers to replace the traditional semi... but I just can't see us all in driverless cars (and trucks) any time in our lifetimes.
  23. Yeah, that's cool. You should put it on a small diorama base.
