ok, seems like the email was legit. The reason I said you should make sure the message was really from Revell is that just yesterday my daughter got a message saying that she was "wanted" for failing to appear for jury duty. She was pretty freaked out and called me and told me about it. There was a number she was supposed to call to find out what she had to do. Turns out the whole thing was somebody's idea of a "joke" (har de har har... ). But apparently you really did win, so all I can say is way to go, Andy!

His reference to "Jim Crow" laws is that diecasts are "segregated" into their own category, and he doesn't like it that way. Since modifying diecasts is very different than modifying plastic kits, we decided that a separate diecast section makes sense... both to accommodate the diecast builders and collectors who are forum members, and to avoid "offending" those people who think that diecasts aren't legitimate scale models. He doesn't like the fact that we have a diecast section and that his thread was moved there. It all falls under the category of "You can't please everyone" or "No matter what we do, there will always be someone who's going to complain about it." If he's offended in some way that we have a diecast section, and that his diecast modification thread was moved to the diecast section, and so now he's going to stop posting on the thread to show us all how unhappy he is about that, well... that's his call.

Just be sure that the email is legit and actually from Revell.

If all they wanted was for you to help test some paint, they can send the info via PM! Obviously what they really want is your email address.

Henry Borger. I don't think he can be considered a hobby "pioneer," but he was definitely someone who got me excited about model cars when I was a kid. His many models featured in Car Model Magazine (remember that one?) got me really excited about model cars.

The final decision was made a long time ago. We have a section for model cars and a section for model trucks. Why do some of you people still not get that?

I really don't like the styling of the new Charger, but it works as a cop car. The big, bulky, macho look doesn't say "Charger" to me, but as a cop car it's right on. Nice job on this one, especially the "office." Looks great.

Exactly. For the life of me I don't understand people who keep whining about the fact that some topics are further down the page than others... as if scrolling down a web page was some sort of inhumane torture, or incredibly difficult to do. Seriously... if you complain about the fact that you have to scroll down a page to see all the content, do you also complain that you have to turn the page in order to keep reading a book?

It can mean slightly different things to different people, but in general it means being a jerk online.
