  1. Sorry, no decal pix... but here are the parts (courtesy of Tim Ahlborn)...
  2. Uh... have any of you people seen the December issue of MCM with this kit on the cover!!!???? Add a buildup/review by Tim Ahlborn with pictures!!!???
  3. Well, on a real car you would use rubbing compound. On a model you could use rubbing compound, then polishing compound... or use a polishing kit meant for models.
  4. Duplicolor is "real" car paint... so the expectation is that it will be polished after application. And it polishes out great.
  5. Well, that's just flat-out unbelievable! If that model was 1/24 scale I'd be mighty impressed. The fact that it's so tiny makes me über-impressed! I get the feeling you could engrave the Lord's Prayer on the head of a pin and have room left over to add the Gettysburg Address...
  6. How do you like the feel if the tablet? I tried one years ago but I didn't like the disconnect between the hand and the screen. Maybe it takes some getting used to... but I tried it and didn't like it. I went back to using a mouse.
  7. Post a photo of the body next to a dime or quarter or something so we can get a sense of the size.
  8. What does ESO mean?
  9. ? I don't see any "Stop Watching" link anywhere...
  10. Real or model? The answer: REAL!
  11. Are we talking 1/24-1/25 scale only? Cuz if not, put me down for a full-detail 1/8 scale Daytona or Superbird. With parts/decals to build either stock or NASCAR versions. I don't care what it costs, I'm buying it.
  12. Beautiful work. As always.
  13. The photos are great... it really does look real!
  14. I could use a Dos Equis right about now...
  15. Two German guys founded A-B in St. Louis. In 1987 Belgium's two largest breweries merged to form Interbrew. In 1999, Brazil's two largest breweries merged to form AmBev. In 2004, Interbrew and AmBev merged to form InBev. In 2008, InBev bought A-B. What a long, strange trip it's been...
  16. Well, seeing as how Eberhard Anheuser and Adolphus Busch were both GERMAN, that seems to make sense, doesn't it???
  17. That's how it works. Photos that are bigger than a certain size are automatically downsized when you post them. But if the photo is huge to begin with, even though this site will ultimately downsize them, they still have to load... and that takes time.
  18. Some of the stuff you SHOOT may have to be at the max setting, but there's no reason to upload and post those pictures here at that huge size.
  19. I've read that nothing much happened in Hawaii. From AP: HONOLULU — Tsunami waves swamped Hawaii beaches before dawn Friday but didn’t cause any major damage after devastating an earthquake-ravaged Japan and sparking evacuations as far away as the U.S. western coast. Kauai was the first of the Hawaiian islands hit by the tsunami, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said. Water rushed ashore in Honolulu, swamping the beach in Waikiki and surging over a break wall in the world-famous resort but stopping short of the area’s high-rise hotels. Waves about 7 feet high were recorded on Maui, and 3 feet in Oahu and Kauai. Officials warned that the waves would continue and could become larger, but a scientist at the tsunami warning center said it didn’t appear that they would cause major damage in Hawaii.
  20. Any of you west coast members have any info on the tsunami? It was suposed to hit the west coast around 7 AM Pacific time.

  22. At Disneyland. The catch is... this was taken about 17 years ago!
  23. I like it. The black paint with the whitewalls and those wheels really works well together... a cool, classic look.
  24. Yeah, but if you post a thumbnail from Photobucket here, when you click on it, it takes you to the Photobucket site. There's no good reason to do it that way.
