  1. It looks very good, but I'd say the wooden parts need weathering. The wood is much too light and clean; I'd use some stain on the wood and then add some dirt and wear.
  2. Remember guys... everyone has an opinion, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and nobody's opinion is any more or less valid than anyone else's. If you like the crazy Japanese things, that's fine... and if you think they're, well, crazy, that's fine too. It's kind of senseless to complain about someone else's opinion, isn't it???
  3. The car in the photo is a 1949 DKW Schnellaster, one of the first modern "minivans." More info here: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/03/the-mother-of-all-modern-minivans-1949-dkw-schnellaster/ Who got it right: Stasch Badluck13 mark taylor ChrisR The Creative Explorer mr moto, mr obsessive, mr chips (the mister sisters! ) Jim Gibbons carsntrucks4you chopt31 Modelmartin Chillyb1
  4. Technically it would be a Model B, right?
  5. I wish we could ship them all to Montana! Or even farther away!!!
  6. Sorry, Gus... I didn't see that part of your post. You got it, man...
  7. And while you're at it... paint the inner part matte silver and the center caps a dark metallic gray.
  8. As long as you love Montana...
  9. Tom Skilling's weather forecast and the Tribune's bankruptcy are two completely different and unrelated things. BTW... The National Weather Service? Aren't they a part of the federal government? You know... the bankrupt federal government? The government that's in the red to the tune of trillions of dollars? No thanks... I think I'll get my weather forecasts from a local guy who knows what he's talking about!
  10. What forecast are you reading??? From today's Tribune: Thursday: Snow flurries possible early, becoming partly sunny. Cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s, some 15 degrees below normal for this date. North to northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Friday: Sunshine and mixed clouds early give way to a lowering overcast. Continued cold with high temps in the upper 30s. Chance of light snow or flurries overnight. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Saturday: Mostly cloudy, blustery and cold. Flurries build to a steadier snow in the afternoon and evening. Snow continues overnight. High temps in the middle 30s. East winds at 15 with gusts over 25 mph. Sunday: Blustery northeast winds and cold with early morning light snow diminishing to flurries and ending. High temperatures again in the middle 30s. East to northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

    Cobra!!!

Still wondering where the wind wings are...
  13. Peter–good to see that you realize your own modeling bias and realize that modeling encompasses a lot more than just injection-molded styrene plastic.

    Cobra!!!

Very nice! But where are the wind wings?
  15. Very nicely done!
  16. What, you've never heard of "shape-shifter" models?
  17. Ok, ok... so you don't want to be the forum shrink. How about the forum legal counsel?
  18. Getting back to the original topic (a certain resin caster would not return a customer's emails)... The problem with posting comments about aftermarket companies here on the forum is this: Most aftermarket companies are small operations, many of them are literally one-man operations. They are not "professional" manufacturers, and as such, it's not realistic to expect "professional" business practices from them. Many times customer "A" will order from aftermarket guy "X" and get his order shipped quickly, so customer "A" sees aftermarket guy "X" as a great source. Then customer "B" orders from aftermarket guy "X," but because "X" got sick, or got swamped with orders, or his basement flooded, or whatever, "X" is slow getting customer "B's" order out... so customer "B" posts here about what a shyster "X" is. "A" had a good experience with "X"... "B" had a bad experience with "X." So is "X" a good aftermarket supplier... or a crook? See the problem? Posting your aftermarket experiences here generally causes nothing but trouble. If you have an issue with an aftermarket supplier, try to deal with that supplier directly.
  19. You don't want the job? What are you... crazy???
  20. I hereby name you the official MCM Forum psychologist...
  21. Now that would make an interesting rat rod!!!
  22. Remember... don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make and model (I need all three!). The answer: 1949 DKW Schnellaster
  23. That's why I list the numbers for the FINAL vote. Any votes after that don't count. We used to have several people vote AFTER the answer was revealed.
