Exactly! How do people put up with that crazy layout... it's all gibberish. There's no format, no categories... it's all just one big mess. I've been there before and checked it out and I can't understand how or why people put up with that format. Or should I say lack of format. It's like trying to find a particular book in the library if all the books were shelved totally at random!

I may be biased, but it seems to me that the only car model forum you need is this one.

Ugh. Glue problem.
Harry P. replied to SuperStockAndy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Five bucks??? Sheesh... I use Elmer's glue for gluing clear parts. Costs about 79¢ at Walmart. You can also "glue" clear parts with clear enamel, or clear 5-minute epoxy if you want a stronger bond, but good old Elmer's works pretty well most of the time. -
I have no doubt we'll be seeing a few "rusty and crusty" Hudsons coming out of Cranky's workshop!

Sort of the same situation with Andy Gibb... -
Photo is as I found it, no Photoshopping by me except for blacking out the license plate and logo.

Dave, all I can say is thank you to everyone involved! You guys actually care enough about your work to take input from the "unwashed masses" to heart, and that speaks volumes about Moebius and all involved. I think I speak for all of us when I say that you guys truly "get it." People, remember this! Remember the fact that the guys at Moebius actually asked for our input, took our comments seriously and acted on those comments. When the Hudson, Chrysler and Lonestar kits hit the shelves, show Moebius that we appreciate their efforts! I know I will.

I think pay-per-download PDF files of kit reviews is a great idea. Now let's see what Gregg says...

It's weird what people will steal and what they'll leave behind. Years ago our apartment was broken into while my wife and I were at work. The thieves took some oddball things like my high school class ring and some of my wife's cheap jewelry... but they left obviously more valuable stuff like cameras and stereo equipment untouched. I guess they just wanted small stuff they could easily take with them. (not that they were trying to be discreet... they literally broke the door and the doorframe down to get in! In fact, that night after the police left, we "locked" our door by propping it back in place and piling our biggest and heaviest pieces of furniture behind it!)

Yep, my mistake, baseball has a "luxury tax," the NFL and the NBA (and the NHL?) have actual salary caps (well, the NFL had one). But whether it's a luxury tax or a salary cap, the theory is the same... to create more balanced competition between teams. It doesn't always work, but the intent is there. Might it work in NASCAR? -

Of course nobody forces me to watch. That's not the point. We're talking about NASCAR here, pro and con. It's a forum... remember??? A forum. Where the members post their opinions on the topic at hand. And by the way, I couldn't care less what the Cubs do, I'm a Sox fan. -

Yeah, everyone is on the same field as far as technology goes... but Team Big Bucks Team can afford 10x the parts, mechanics and cars that Team Little Guy can... so Team Little Guy is at an inherent disadvantage. That's why I brought up the salary cap example. If there was no salary cap in baseball, the Yankees would win the World Series every year because their whole team would be comprised of big buck superstar players, while teams like KC and Cincinnati and Pittsburgh might as well not even bother fielding a team. Having some teams at a huge financial advantage knocks the whole element of "competition" out of whack. Same thing is happening with NASCAR. That's why I proposed some sort of "spending cap"... or maybe an "equipment cap" where no team can field more than say, two cars, or have more than X number of people. Obviously the details would have to be worked out, but if you level the playing field as far as $ goes (or at least make things more balanced), maybe Team Little Guy could actually compete with Team Big Bucks. -
How to make button tufted upholstery

Very nice tip. I just wonder, though, if the dents you make in the foam with the cutter wheel are permanent... or does the foam gradually spring back to shape and the lines disappear? -

Other sports have salary caps in place to try and "level the playing field" somewhat between big market teams with $$$ and smaller market teams that otherwise couldn't compete for the best players. Maybe some sort of "spending cap" should be put into place for the NASCAR teams. That way you'd at least give some of the smaller (less $$$ to spend) teams at least a chance of competing more equally. -

Set a minimum lap requirement. You don't make the minimum, you go home empty handed. -

Well, obviously! Those that do watch NASCAR probably like it the way it is, that's why they're watching! It's the people who don't like NASCAR the way it is and don't watch it that would be the ones with ideas on how to "fix" it. -

I think the one big change NASCAR could make that would really breathe new life into the sport is to run road courses... you know, turning left and right... -

I didn't know the French even had tanks in WWII! I thought they pretty much gave up when Hitler's army came calling.
