  1. Don't know. All I know is Gregg said upgrades are being made... he didn't say what upgrades. I guess we all have to wait and see...
  2. Those are pretty good! Another artist on the forum!
  3. Since kit manufacturers refuse to pay tire company licensing fees, the model couldn't have had Firestone tires... :DB)
  4. I agree with Dave G... spectacular! The weathering looks great, this is really a super job.
  5. Maybe if you really try...
  6. Very nice. How about a few more???
  7. I mean, nobody's been banned in 2011. Yet.
  8. The site is currently undergoing upgrades and there will be some little hiccups for a while until it's all sorted out. Don't worry... nobody's been banned!
  9. Bruno... I can't let those photos you posted go without a comment. That Charger looks fantastic!
  10. If driving around while you can't see where you're going is "style"... count me out!
  11. That's actually an old rerun... but then again, how many prime-time shows feature model car building?
  12. Yup. Just like Ahhhnold...

Wow!!! That paint is absolutely killer! Very impressive!
  14. I admit I don't know much about these types of cars. Ok, I don't know anything about these types of cars. So explain to me the blue headlights, and the blacked-out windshield that would completely block the driver's vision. And what is a Hakosuka? Thanks...
  15. Speaking of "different" gassers... if any of you have the current issue of Hemming's Muscle Machines (the February 2011 issue) check out page 70 and you'll see a 1965 Rambler Marlin gasser.
  16. ok... you may be right that the car I used is the prototype... but it IS a 1954 Denzel, and Denzels were production cars. And if you look at the photos on the site you linked to, all the other cars look very much alike except the one you posted, which looks completely different than the ones that came before and came after. Something is fishy here...
  17. That's not German.
  18. To quote the Cowardly Lion... "Unusual weather, ain't it?" The high today is supposed to be 55 here. That's pretty warm for end of December in Chicago. Yesterday pretty much all the snow cover we had melted away. Darn Russians and their crazy weather experiments!
  19. The car is a 1954 Denzel 1500S. It used VW components and was supposed to be a competitor to Porsche. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denzel_%28automobile%29 Who got it right (not many!): Stasch Modelmartin trogdor Badluck13 Junkman
  20. Bill Coulter showed us a neat trick of his in one of his recent magazine features (can't remember offhand which one)... but anyway, what he does is cut out little cardboard "collars" for the various bottles of paint, liquid cement, etc.... a square piece, with a hole the size of the bottle in the middle, sort of like a big cardboard washer. He slips the collar onto the bottle near the base, and the collar makes the bottle much less prone to being tipped over.
  21. You make a good point about how that "dipped in syrup" look is due more to the builder than the paint itself. Looking at your photos it's obvious that urethane clear can look "in scale" on a model–when the person applying it knows how to do it right.
  22. We already have that... it's called "Under Glass," and all the things you mentioned apply.
  23. I finished the engine and part of the interior, then lost interest. That was about 15 years ago! Haven't touched it since, probably never will. I know that doesn't give you what you're looking for.. but hey, at least I feel better after confessing!
  24. Respirato... Why don't you come to your senses? You've been out riding fences For so long now... Great song! Don't know how the Eagles got drawn into this thread, but I love 'em!
