I've taken apart lots of diecasts, but there is no "one-size-fits-all" answer... different models are assembled in different ways.
First step is to remove any visible screws and see how far that gets you. Sometimes removing one part reveals more screws that hold other parts in place. Sometimes parts are held together via hidden "one way" snaps that slip together easily but are almost impossible to unsnap without breaking something, sometimes parts are held together with rivets that you have to drill out, and sometimes parts are simply glued together and can be carefully pried apart.
These engines don't have that many parts... taking one apart should be pretty easy.
I was asked that same question by another forum member, so I looked it up... and as far as I can see, all the tools I used here are also included in PS Elements.
My Mustang GT has a feature that displays average fuel economy, constantly updated in "real time."
I'm getting exactly 22.0 MPG... and that's in town, no highway driving. Pretty good for a car that the EPA rated at 15 city, 23 highway.
With gas back up around three bucks a gallon in my area, I'm a happy camper!
This is not a comment on the kit by any means... but man, those 70's-era 5 mph bumpers were ugly! Imagine how much better this car would look without them...
Besides the other problems mentioned, the rear bumper is missing the cutouts above each tailpipe, and the front bumper is missing the "wings" on each end. And where are the bumper guards? They're on every photo of the real car.
Best way is a razor saw and a small aluminum miter box. if you roll the tubing under an X-acto blade you always stand the chance of not rolling exactly straight and creating a mess. No chance of that if you use a miter box and razor saw.
If you want to post photos here from your Photobucket album (not just a link to the photo, but the photo itself)... you need to copy the information in the "IMG Code" window of the photo in Photobucket and paste that information here into your post.
