  1. What else is there? Hallucination?
  2. Apart from the upside-down insignia on the left side (oops!!! ) it's spectacular. The Alclad work is mighty nice!
  3. Not only did he not claim the models were his... he didn't claim anything! The videos have no sound or text, they're just photo montages.
  4. How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
  5. Isn't that a 300?
  6. Potsie??? Is that you???!!!
  7. A convertible Charger?
  8. You had just about the best motivation for building this model as anyone could have. All the best to your fianceé in her fight.
  9. Very nice! You captured the real thing...
  10. I agree in principle... but human nature being what it is, good luck with that!
  11. Don't worry... we've tried politics and religion... didn't work so well... And Brett is exactly correct, this section is for topics related to model cars (and sometimes 1:1 cars )... but at least cars. Let's stay away from the wacky youtube videos, etc. You have facebook and twitter if you want to post stuff like that.

Nice work, but why white wheels?

  14. Don't spray indoors without a spray booth and an exhaust fan! Even if the vapors themselves were harmless (which they're not), the overspray gets on everything! It's so fine that you don't even see it... but if you take a paper towel and wipe around the area after you've airbrushed, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
  15. Perfect weather for it today!
  16. The Alclad is fantastic! But how do you avoid marring the surface while you build? It looks flawless... do you wear gloves while you work?
  17. Not true. Scott Colmer's "Scratchbuilding School" feature uses pop cans. It works perfectly.
  18. Exactly. No relevance whatsoever.
  19. Big scale modeling really opens up a whole new world of detailing possibilities... that's why I love building in 1/8 scale. You can do things in large scale that are just about impossible in small scale (1/24 or 1/25). Your upholstered seats are a perfect example.
  20. We're going to have to start calling you Insp. Downie...
  21. Too bad you don't subscribe to the magazine. If you did, you would have found that this very topic was featured in a "Scratchbuilding School" article by Scott Colmer in the May/June 2009 issue.
  22. Politics and religion... the two topics most often at the root of man's disagreements...
  23. Creative you are, no doubt. An engineer? Uh, not so much...
  24. Explain to me how that rear spring is going to work...
