  1. So just like NNLs are not really NNLs, OOB is not really OOB.
  2. Austin Powers' Shaguar... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang...

    64 Dodge 330

Does this get the award for "Oldest Topic Resurrected from the Past?" this week?
  4. I get Q-tips at the dollar store. 300 Q-tips for a buck... so 0.33¢ a piece, or 3 for a penny!
  5. It must be nice to have a daily commute with no traffic...
  6. Speed Racer... Barnabas Collins' Dark Shadows van... Joker Goon Car...
  7. Beverly Hillbillles truck, Fred Flintstone's car...
  8. Or do a Google image search and have all the reference you need in about 10 seconds. You can even download photos of decorated surfboards and print them out on decal paper to decorate your scale boards. http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1257&bih=696&q=surfboard&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2
  9. The whole story on Future can be found here: http://www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.html A quote from the text: There have been a few reports by modelers that yellowing has occured with all white finishes. I have investigated several of these reports of yellowing and have found in each and every one that it was the underlying paint that had yellowed and not the Future. White paint contains a resin pigment that will yellow under long-term exposure to direct sunlight and there is no clear coat that I am aware of that will prevent this occurrence.
  10. My suggestion:
  11. If you can't find any, a scale surfboard is really easy to make out of some sheet styrene... there's not much to it.
  12. Interior looks great, dash detail is outstanding.
  13. Most unbuilt die-cast models sold as "kits" are somewhat simplified; I guess that's where the "not a real model" nonsense comes from. But a model is a scale representation of a 1:1 subject. Nowhere is it stated that to be a "real" model, it has to be made of plastic! The material used for the pieces of the model is... immaterial! Danbury Mint, among others, makes some die-cast models that would blow most "serious" plastic models away. I know... because I own them.
  14. Sorry to be jumping in on this one so late! (In my defense September has been very hectic and I was out of town for 2 weeks)... Yeah, it's not a Superbird... In fact I have pretty much zero interest in this particular subject. But personal preferences aside, I have 1,000% enthusiasm for TDR and what they are bringing to the hobby. You guys are true innovators... the old cliché "trailblazer" applies. So while I may not be too excited about this particular kit, I am very excited about TDR in general and their mission. I think you guys are giving the model car hobby an incredible shot in the arm, and I look forward to your next move. You guys are truly a credit to the hobby and I congratulate everyone involved and hope that TDR will be a huge success... because if you are, we'll all benefit.
  15. Yes, I see your point. It does look very much like a typical Wells-Fargo stagecoach body.
  16. Wow... you're not afraid to "mix it up" scale-wise, are you?
  17. You don't see many of these. Were they low production items back in the day? Or "expensive," as far as Model T's go?
  18. One of the most creative builders I've seen...
  19. So I'm guessing you like Jeeps a little?
  20. They recently reworked their "regular" chrome foil... the new stuff works well. I don't know, however, if they've fixed the black chrome problems. The last time I used the black chrome, it was worthless... wouldn't stick at all. Maybe they have a "new and improved" black chrome now, but if so, I haven't heard about it.
  21. This will be good! One suggestion: Take out the solid piece in the grille shell and use some sort of mesh instead. You can still keep the Lincoln logo, but things would look better if the grille had an open mesh.
  22. Try uploading a photo right from your computer. I just tried it and it worked. If you're uploading from Photobucket maybe it's the "Direct Link" that you need. I just uploaded a picture directly from my computer as a test and it worked. Once I created an album I clicked on "Options>New Image"... Then I used the "Browse" button to select a photo off my hard drive and clicked on the "submit Image" button. It worked.
  23. You need to copy and paste the "IMG Code"...
  24. Suggestions like this might be better sent via PM. It might not make a darn bit of difference to the recipient... but doing it in public can only lead to more of the same types of posts here.
  25. If you can find the product on the web, what difference does it make where the source is? It's all just a few mouseclicks away from your front door.
