  10. Great looking model Al.
  11. Thanks very much for the encouraging and kind comments everyone. Yes John, once the body is painted, cleared, polished and foiled, then final assembly starts. It's moving along nicely. Daniel, no problem if the "package tray" is covered by the Convertible top boot cover. I wasn't sure if it would be totally covered, so to be safe I just flocked it. Mike, I really enjoy working on interiors and I had fun doing up this one. I tried to make it as classy looking as the car is.
  12. John, your skill and workmanship just blows me away..!! I can't believe that you even attempted to build a replica of this vehicle..... but you nailed it to a " T ". you sir are a craftsman in our little plastic modeling world. Fantastic job.
  13. This is "Captain Obvious" speaking... Maybe if you also said in your opening post that you had previously tried searching Google for pictures without any success, then I probably would not have given you that "obvious answer". In any event, you can always get the answers to just about any car or model related question here on the Forum.
  14. Beautiful build Darcy. You do very nice, clean work. Great job.
  15. Okedokey... The "crew" at the upholstery shop finally completed work on the Caddy's interior. Everything is installed except for the steering wheel. To recap, the carpet and the package tray are flocked in Brown. The tuck & roll portions of the seats are done in leather. The flat panels on the seats and door panels are flocked in a Tan color that was custom mixed. The door panels also have some flat Tan paint. BMF trim is on the door panels and the top of the seats. The kit supplied door handles and chrome window switch and lock panels were installed along with the dashboard. Pictures follow... . Since the Eldorado is a classy car, I tried to give it a classy looking interior. It was a chore, but I think it turned out looking pretty cool. Now the car can go to the paint shop (as soon as Mother Nature cooperates and gives me a good day to paint. Thanks for peeking in at it. More progress follows, hopefully soon.
  16. Great car Darcy. The first car my wife and I got when we were married was a used '67 Galaxie 4 door that we bought from my Aunt for $300 in 1975. I converted the convertible kit to a 4 door hardtop with the help of a good friend who is no longer with us unfortunately. I'm posting a picture of it here, with NO intentions of stealing your thread. I wish I could find another one of these kits.
  17. Great work Darcy. Neat work on the BMF.
  18. Beautiful build Darcy. Great job.
  19. Great job Darcy. Beautiful model.
  20. Thank you Anne and Roy. I sincerely appreciate your encouragement.
  21. Nice looking truck. I like the color and the contrast with the wood.
  22. And I always just throw all those sprues away... I had once thought the same, in that "look how much wasted plastic there is." I wondered if there were any feasible method of returning the sprues to the manufacturers for them to re-use all that plastic to make more kits... might help to keep kit costs down a little. However the logistics of getting all that plastic back to the mfgrs. from all the varied kit buyers would probably be nearly impossible to do. Good idea though...
  23. That's pretty funny.
  24. Tom that is really cool. I definitely have to pick up some Taco Bell napkins to try doing some seats like that. Great job buddy.
