  1. Can l have your stash? JK. Over the weekend l pulled out a body that l consider to have perfect body work done. l don't get much bench time lately, so l wanted to lay down the paint while l had time.....without tacking it! Now it's a beautifully massaged body with dusty paint. Doh!! We all do it, bro!
  2. So cool! True, not many in stock form. Looks mighty fine to me. l tried this kit without much luck in the early '70s. l might be working out a trade after seeing this one. Super nice looking woody. Bart.
  3. Another fantastic all around build, Jim! l saw it yesterday, but didn't have time to post. l also love this kit, though l haven't started mine yet. l also agree the water spots look even better on the green! The interior is, once again, very well detailed & a perfect color to compliment the green body. l also love the color under the hood-it looks right at home! Your new shelf-mates must be looking mighty fine by now! l loved the old stuff, but these builds since you "cleaned house" are truly beautiful!!! Bart.
  4. Just as l suspected. Wicked looking grocery getter! Nice work so far. Bart.
  5. .......My '62 sb 2 wheel drive had the '57-'60 bed on it, l know of several long bed '63-'64 2 wheel drives that also had the old beds. l wonder if it maybe depends on which factory they were made at & when they used up the surplus beds? l had never heard of or seen the Argentinian beds. Those are VERY cool!
  6. This has got to be the ugliest Ford ever made! & that, to me, makes it a very cool & interesting build. l'll keep watching! Bart.
  7. l really like this! l wish you weren't too busy to build it, lol. l'd LOVE to see it finished. Time takes time.
  8. ..........The beds were made in a different location than the rest of the truck resulting in a surplus of beds. Late in the '64 model year they finally ran out of '57-'60 beds, so some trucks got the new beds. The unibody design was implemented to attract buyers who wanted a better flowing look. Pickups were only beginning to be more than "tools" at the time, so style wasn't a high priority. l am not quoting any authority, but rather vague memmories of swapping parts & info on these trucks from years ago. lf anyone can find more accurate info, l would love to actually know more. To me, these trucks ('61-'66) need to be more accessible in scale. Bart.
  9. Alright, David! l had to put my 3-D stuff up for a while to do some flat art. But you "talked" me into getting the Wagon Rod! Got 2 on the way. l LOVE what you're doing with this & hope to keep up! Surf's up, dude!
  10. Depending on how committed to the Caddy mill you are, you might check out Crazyjim's Nail head. l've used a couple & they're Very nice! Bart. BTW, l like what's happening here, which is why l'm suggesting the Nail Headi
  11. l'm really diggin this one! Keep it up! Bart.
  12. Gotta love the old Mopars! Wish l had that body. Let's see more, please!
  13. l believe Sean Stacey (sstacey47) is casting the bike from "Quicksand"? He may be casting the Odyssey as well. His info contact info can be found in the Aftermarket Directory topic: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71864
  14. l'll take one! The bed is wrong, but l did the same thing with my 1:1 a few years back. ln '63 the bed would have still been the mis-matched '57-'60 body style. But it obviously looks better with matching body lines! Bart.
  15. l would buy a few sets. l had a set of Astro Supremes in '77-'78(?). l liked them better than my Rockets, which l traded for them! one of my better trades!
  16. Very nice. This color pops on an early 'Vette. Almost a flip-flop effect with the cove's accent color. Everything is "gelling" well on this one, too. You're gonna have a very impressive display to show off! Bart.
  17. l've been sitting on this kit for a few years now, wondering how l want to build it. l'll be watching this.
  18. Very tasty build. l've been trying my best to appreciate Fords more, lately. This Fairlane is making it a lot easier. l agree with your wheel theory. TT's do make anything look fast just sitting there! Great job & great choices! Bart
  19. Keep up the good work. l have always wanted to learn about computers! lt's slow going for me too!
  20. lt's SO cool to see a clean, SHINY, full-fendered, unchopped '32 street rod! Very nice, Jim. Bart.
  21. That's the shiznit! Really groovy paint. The masking for this must've been trying. Great job, gotta love that dizzy too! l can't wait!
  22. That's the shiznit! Really groovy paint. The masking for this must've been trying. Great job, gotta love that dizzy too! l can't wait!
  23. Man this is coming out nice! l'm gonna have to get a Wagon Rod! l've been hearing for years they have nice parts.
  24. Chi Chi La Bamba rides again! lnteresting build. Keep it up.
