  1. Wow, you have been on a roll ! I'm loving these "alternative fuel" vehicles ! I hope you have more ! Bart
  2. Sorry man, just read this today, lol ! Thanks for the offer, but l'm covered now. Bart
  3. Amazing !
  4. If you wanted to do dual cowls, l'm sure you could find a couple airplane windshields that would work ?
  5. Definitely looks like a design worth pursuing. Nice start on it, look forward to more. Bart
  6. Nevermind ! I read it again......I was tying to make San Francisco read Sacramento, lol ! It looks even better 2nd time through ! Great show piece....with a history ! Bart
  7. Beautiful model ! I would love to have one for a change of pace. I can't help but wonder if you meant St. Joseph, Mo.? I was born & raised there, which is the home/ starting point of the Pony Express mail route. I grew up around the history of these pioneers with every business that could using "Pony Express" in their name or advertising. I don't know the history of the stage coaches-perhaps they expanded & moved home base further east ? Excellent build at any rate ! Bart
  8. Great looking cars ! Your build history...as well as your taste....closely parallels my own !
  9. l gotta try it then. l can't imagine getting better results, but it's worth a shot. l'm due for more tape soon anyway !
  10. l use Scotch 3M blue painters tape, then spray just enough clear to "seal" the mask from bleed thru. I do lotsa flames & multi colors with no issues. Bart
  11. l was told NOT to use Purple Power on resin as it turns resin to gel ? I have no proof because l heeded this advice & always use Bleecha White. Any truth to this ? Bart
  12. Gotcha ! Will the '40 headlight bezels fit in the '37 holes ? They are definitely more "upscale" with the finned eyebrows than the '37-'39.
  13. Fabulous creativity ! Completely out of my genre, but l can't stop staring, LOL ! Amazing ! I'm gonna run outta adjectives !!! Bart
  14. Oh my, Bruce ! This looks tough ! I'm so glad you wired up the engine. I've been wanting to see one done for a VERY long time. I've got the same dual distributor going in an A-100 project & have been too intimidated too do it since it's gonna show! Yours does NOT look like a mass of spaghetti as l feared mine would. It's quite a nice job, thanks for showing us a nice close up. Can't wait to see this beauty under glass ! Bart
  15. l must've missed this 1st time around. Very cool roadster ! My eyes are having trouble with the vertical grille. It seems like it needs an aggressive forward tilt ? Just a thought. I agree with your front fender mod idea. I'm sure it's gonna look great any way you go, it's already looking like a winner ! Bart
  16. Beautiful car, James ! I love everything you've done. It's SO nice to see a cool custom without whitewalls & cap & rings ! I might call it a street rod, but whatever you call it---it looks fantastic ! Bart
  17. The back edge of a #11 exacto blade is what l've always heard. I recently cut out my first hood ; a '61 Ford Galaxie, but it was all simple, straight line cuts. I don't know of any specialized tool for cutting curves ?
  18. l agree with all above ! I think the focus of your light could be up front a little more. Too much "back lighting" makes the cars too dark to see well. Nice output for the year, carry on ! Bart
  19. It was literally a pleasure watching you build this ! I started my '41 Plymouth about 2-3 days before this & eventually stopped to get tips & ideas from you. This is SO over the edge, off the chain, sick, or whatever the latest lingo is ! This may be my favorite model l've ever seen ! Maybe you have to be a woodie fan to say that, but you have set the bar high for all us woodie lovers. Thank you VERY much for sharing ! Bart
  20. This is just creepy, wicked fun ! Great imagineering ! Bart
  21. l love the body style, but not so much the kit. You did a great job replicating your real car. I'd like to do some of my real ones.
  22. Turned out real nice. I've always loved early Vettes, but you're right, gotta have a V-8 ! Pretty model.
