  1. lukee thin it the same as model enamels. is this the brown/red primer you're using? i don't think the oil based part is going to eat up styrene. Have A Nice Day!
  2. hugh i think with the first compressor the #72 hole in fitting lessened the pulsing. that's the Texarkana way to fix it! i just bought an engine from a guy and guess what he used to run a fleet of and has one one left of? the International pic you got. looks just like it down to black bed or box. Have A Nice Day!
  3. turbo kitty this is how Model Express describes MUSTANG II. 'builds convertible, hardtop, 2+2 Fastback, or speedster version, opening doors, hood and trunk, poseable steering' looks like just one 'version' of Cougar II. roll up and down windows?! that's rare! Have A Nice Day!
  4. does it include different build versions? i've seen Lindberg Mustang II's ( show car not the smog mobile ) that can be built hardtop, convertible and another way. Have A Nice Day!
  5. model carrers the AMT '49 Ford is gone from Megahobby and Hobbylinc. what's RC2? i thought that was the same as Round 2. i'd pronounce Scheve sheve like Steve. Have A Nice Day!
  6. here's the link so you can look yourself http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=322581 just noticed something. a guy here has his Lindberg '53 Crown Victoria in builds section. i haven't looked at it. that is a pretty good choice! those Lindberg kits are EVERYWHERE! quality on Lindberg kits i own looks good to me. don't forget the candy apple paint! Have A Nice Day!
  7. big kahuna here's link. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Microsoft-Windows-7-Professional-64-Bit-Edition-with-Service-Pack-FQC-04649/19581736 this is better! it's Professional version for $5 more than whatever i saw last night. you want pro. see, things are on the upswing already! Have A Nice Day!
  8. Gregg/Big Kahuna ok i'm here now. i will post the link to Walmart Windows 7 64 Bit in a minute. it's $140. should install as 32 bit or 64 bit. it's some version, i'll post link. 1 is there a walmart over there? 2 is there a way for your supporters to use debit card on your website? i think it's easier to get 14 people to send you $10 than one to send you $140 Have A Nice Day!
  9. here's a pic of a custom car show. i think to build a model of one of these it's a good idea to get the Squadron Green putty or Testor's Putty. i don't know which one sticks on the best. they used a lot of 'candy' paint on these cars then. some of the kits have customizing parts but to do it right it takes putty. car in bottom of picture is a Studebaker. the stainless band on roof means it's a Speedster model. i'd like to see more builds like this here. Have A Nice Day!
  10. razor hog take a look in the for sale here at this site http://www.sracing.com/ have a nice day!
  11. double d here's one for $32. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyundai-HPT505-Portable-5-Gal-Air-Tank/15054352 in 'also looked at' underneath are some more. this ones made by Hyundai. they build ships in South Korea so i think it will hold together i want to use cans because they are quiet and i only paint about once a month or less.
  12. double d try an air tank! i'll look for one on walmart.com. i would say fill it up outside and then bring it in to use it.
  13. it comes in 7 oz and 13 oz. $6 for 7 oz and $8 for 13 oz so of course i'd get the 13 oz twice as much for $2 more i'll be painting with Paasche EZ-Starter airbrush and Testor's Acrylics is the 13 oz plenty of air to paint a 1/25 model kit? Happy New Years!
  14. casey the one started in 1948 found answer at wikipedia. it was sold to Matchbox in 1978 and then bought by Ertl in 1983 i would call '78-83 the 'Dark Age' of AMT. then under Ertl the kits were there but the packaging was so-so if i wanted to be gushy i could call Round 2 buying them in 2007 the 'Renaissance of AMT' a second golden age. so i think an early Round 2 is worth keeping, i really like the gray plastic too. Happy New Years!
  15. johnny it's fun finding out about AMT. anybody know when original AMT stopped producing kits? that's a start. Happy New Years!
  16. it's a Nostalgia series kit i'm going to hang on to it and not build it because it's a rarity. it an early Round 2 reissue but it's molded in GRAY plastic. copyright 2007 on box. Happy New Years!
  17. chuck which reissue is the picture of parts? pro shop or "New Retro"? the screws in the bag plus body & interior molded together say 'curbside' to me. 'new retro' kit says 'stock or STYLIZED custom' on top of box and side of box says 'stock or WILD custom'. i'll go with stylized, wild is just hype to sell kit. so this kit is equal to Styline kit, the one on Round 2 page now, just says styline the top customizing kit is 'Advanced Customizing'. the one you see that just says '62 Hardtop' and it's only available from collector resellers comes with putty and a different customizing tool in every box. Wow! Happy New Years!
  18. plowboy hobbylinc shows picture of Pro Shop kit and says comes with customizing parts and says it's 'old' kit. i don't know if they have wrong picture up and they have Retro issue or if Pro Shop does have parts. the Retro kit is getting old too. anybody have the Pro Shop kit and know the answer? Happy New Years!
  19. mr smith it is an old kit that's why it's called a reissue. it was first put out probably '62. plowboy the 'retro packaging' latest version says on box 'build stock or stylized custom'. stylized custom is changing style of car not just customizing. chassis is all molded in one piece because customizing is the thing here not mechanical. it's a 'curbside' kit. so is the Pro Modeler the same parts inside? Happy New Years!
  20. it's kit #614 what parts & extras do you get in the two reissues? the old Pro Modeler you see for sale and the new Retro Packaging reissue from Round 2 is it a curbside kit? which is fine with me Happy New Years!
  21. i hope Santa brings you that new kit you want! Merry Christmas!
  22. terry my post says 'close to' and did say special shop if someone one want's to learn something they can see the evolution towards longer frames right in the nancy kit i would say the buick powered roadster ( top kit ) is earlier and shorter the dragmaster is interesting as selling reasonable price dragster stuff then closest thing we have now is Speedway Motors you can get enough stuff there for dragster but you have to scare up your own frame happy holidays!
  23. 409 these frames look close to Dragmaster's frame but Tony Nancy's were made by special frame builder i just caught on that the reissue slick's are the same name Dragmaster i guess they were a big mailorder place you could get everything to build a dragster here's pic of one with 348 and your name is 409. small world
  24. nick it's two kits in one not build either version you get TWO complete dragster they call one 'roadster' and the other one 'dragster' this kit is super historical/educational ! and just darn interesting!
  25. hobbylinc shows this as 'due date unknown' that got changed from 'late december' well worth waiting for! reissue kits go for $40-50 at online OOP hobbystores hobbylinc shows price as $19.09 when they get them in this is a DRAG RACING kit! very cool! happy holidays!
