  1. Thank you for the kind words. My front axles are made to take the weight. The cab is not resin. It's scratchbuilt. See:
  2. Kevin Lutz will be selling these thru Missing Link Resin (probably on eBay or some other avenue). I'm building mine currently. There are no plated parts, but mine are currently with the Spotlight service. I plan to bring it to the spring Detroit show ( The DAAM show). Here's what I've got so far... Hard to believe this multi-year project is finally out there.
  3. That looks great! You did a real nice job on it. It's very gratifying to see one of them built.
  4. Chevy Inline 6 "Turbo Thrift" model engine resin 3D printed 1/25 1/24 | eBay
  5. I mastered a 1968 Chevrolet 4 door sedan based on the Supernatural '67 Impala. I had a run of them cast and sold them on eBay some time ago but hadn't actually built one. Finally got around to it and thought I'd share the results. The engine is 3D printed (bought from eBay), and I added separate door handles from the '66 Chevelle wagon. Color is Butternut Yellow touchup paint. Note: There was no "250" badge for the front fender marker light. I should have sanded off the displacement badge, but didn't catch the error until the car was painted. What are you going to do? I went ahead and made a fictitious "250" badge.
  6. Never mind. I found one. Thank you!
  7. Which issue? All of them?
  8. If anyone has a Revell 1966 Chevelle wagon, and intends to shave the handles, I could use a set or two of the door handles (which are separate parts) for a project. Thanks!
  9. I'll be there Saturday. I won't be in the model show, however.
  10. I know it's old but I keep cans for a long time, maybe you do, too.
  11. 3D woes continued. I noticed the cab has acquired a noticeable "smile" when viewed from the front and rear. Because I have so much wrapped up in this, I removed the offending parts, sanded certain edges, and was able to re-assemble the cab minus the smile. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures. If the cab acquires any more deformities, you will never see it in the BUILT section. I will never buy a 3D printed item in the gray resin again, I have finally learned my lesson. I have had no issues with items printed in white or tan. If I can save this cab, I still have three others that cannot be saved. No more gray. Ever.
  12. I learned my lesson very early in the game, and stopped buying from him years ago.
  13. The Sunrunner grille is not entirely correct, as it's missing the gap between the grille and the surround. Still, it's the only kit option.
  14. Good looking print. Thank you for your offer, but one is enough for me. Storage of builts is very limited.
  15. Mostly kitbashed and scratchbuilt. There is a thread in the WIP section if you want to see the buildup process. It's still not quite done (no horn and other little details) but I'm putting it up as done for now, I have other thing I want to do.
  16. Great minds think alike! That's really cool!
  17. I'm still working on this one. Here's what I've got right now. I'll get better shots when/if I finish this.
  18. I've been plugging away at the Mack. The body is ready for paint, and the interior is done except for some detailing.
  19. I've got this Mack looking pretty good...hope it stays that way! If not, you may hear from me. Very generous of you to offer!
  20. I appreciate your input. I can afford a 3D printer, but I simply don't have the room. My house is bursting at the seams. I'd also like a paint booth, but same thing. I still live in my first starter home and never traded up. Plus side is it's paid for, and cheap to heat, cool, and operate. Down side...no room for expansion. I am close to retirement, and I don't want to screw that up with any new purchases like buying a home. From what I do know about 3D printing, I'd tend to agree with all of your observations.
  21. I can't even see items in 1/32! Amazing work! I don't know if this will show up in 1/32, but the center vertical grille bar is a little thicker than the other two. I don't know if it's possible to do in 1/32, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I also agree with you...casting parts is a skill I couldn't do without!
  22. Got the roof on. Looks like a cut-down Astro 95 windshield will work for this Mack. Windshield has blue tape on the back side to hold the two halves together for fitting.
  23. I don't know enough about it to say. I have come to notice all of my issues come with gray resin. I don't know if the color matters, but the gray is the only resin I've had curl, and even then, not always.
  24. The basic interior is done, and the basic top is ready to add. So far, it looks as though this is going to work.
