In many respects I find the world more disappointing with each passing day. One of my futile interests is politics. I think I just found my problem!

Actually, these responses have clarified things. Thank you. I would have bet a paycheck that at least one response would include "Just sayin'". I was not disappointed. Seriously, thanks all for clarifying this admittedly trivial matter.

I know it's harmless, I'm just curious as to the purpose/meaning of adding "Just sayin...".

They are indeed sold out. I believe the 1970 version is sold out as well, or close to it.

Further progress on the trailer. Those blinds were a bear! The weathering is a bit washed out from the sun in the pictures. It's a actually a bit grimier in person.

x2. My 1969 Coronet stripped very well, but became full of little cracks. Once it was rinsed and dried, I ran Tamiya Thin cement over the cracks. So far, so good.

I've always used Photobucket (free). The only problem I've had is when they update from time to time and older browsers won't open it. It has never given me any trouble, I've never had anything lost, and it's always been available when I want to use it. I've used it for years. Since it has met my needs, I've never used any other service.

i don't think you can have turn signals on the grille AND the bumper. I believe the grille turn signals are correct for an '84. The bumper turn signals need to go. One more thing, and I'm sure this has been mentioned before... What's up with that seam on the side of the bed? What's it supposed to represent? Still a good kit to see back on the shelves, I'll have to pick up a few.

I saw that formula for Lt Topaz on a fan page. I'm curious to see how it looks when applied. Most of the Rockford models look too gold and too light. I understand that people have to model within their means, so that's not meant as an insult.

What color are you using? I'm using a 1975 Pontiac color Copper Mist metallic. It looks gold in the light, but more copper in the shadows. I'm going to make his Firebird a 1975 model. Scale Productions makes a Rockford figure. The body is far too barrel chested, but you can use the head, it's pretty good. With the supporting cast you're kind of on your own...

I made them. I have a large box of figures I've collected over the years, and I mix, match, or sculpt what I need. Angel has also been added to the lineup.

I'm waiting for the paint to cure on my trailer, as I had to repair damage I caused. While waiting, I did a few figures...

.040 Styrene with a .125 Spaced V-Groove Design from Evergreen Scale Models. Manufacturers' number 4125. I was going to scribe them, but the grooves on this styrene sheet were almost a perfect match, so I used them. I don't get that lucky with models very often.

I've already done the lawn furniture frames in brass, just need to add the webbing.

It's getting time to beat up and weather this trailer. If it's not beat up, it can't be Rockford's trailer. Trouble is, I'm having trouble getting up the courage to weather it.

Here's some cabs I've made out of sheet styrene. None of them are done, but you can see where I'm going with them.

I enjoyed it as well. Nothing will ever surpass the New Hope Star Destroyer flyover. I had never seen anything like that in my life. WOW! I think the 1977 release will always be my favorite because I had never experienced anything like it before. Nowadays, awesome effects are pretty much a given.

In my opinion. If AMT and MPC did the same car, As far as the look of the body goes, typically the MPC is superior. All my Novas and Venturas of this generation are MPC.

Looks great! For those of you considering a '65 Bonneville build, the Bonneville script in the grille should be on the hood. The change might be more hassle than it's worth, but at least the info is out there...I like the Iris mist!

Is there a commonly available spray paint that approximates the Rockford Firebird Copper/Gold?

In the original, the Star Destroyer flyover scene was worth the ticket price by itself. I had never seen anything like that!
