  1. I just push on through. If I had to be in the "mood" every time I sat down, I'd never get anything done. My projects are usually drawn out and time intensive. I feel like I owe the family a completed project every now and then to justify the time I spend on it. It is just a hobby, but if I'm not moving forward, I feel like I'm wasting my time. I also find that completing some little part of the task sometimes makes the whole project look better. This is just me, I'm not implying my way is the right way, just an opinion.
  2. What, now I need to be TRI-lingual?
  3. What is pau, then?...finished (pau) models...
  4. This Ford looks exactly like a 352 powered Galaxie I used to own. It later became an engagement and wedding ring for my wife of now 23 years. It was a cool looking car and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the memories, Ron! As a side note, I got the wheelcovers at the local Ford dealer. Still on the shelf in 1988.
  5. Even though this truck has an 8 foot bed made from a Blazer, I have three resin 8' beds waiting to be used. I can't for the life of me remember who cast them, and I don't know if they're still available. I think it was Race Motor Replicas.
  6. What a good idea...
  7. What are you going to use for siding? I haven't found anything commercially available that matches Winnebago siding. I've drawn up a Winnebago Chieftain on AutoCad, just haven't started it yet. I need more chassis and underside shots. Can't wait to see yours!
  8. I have a few of these, and they're 1/24. Nice repaint, it does make a nice work van.
  9. Looks like JeffB has this near ready for introduction. Check it out in the RESIN and AFTERMARKET section. I'm looking forward to building one of these. I hope you guys enjoy it as well.
  10. Not a vendor, but I've been to all of the Buckeye Classics so far, and I plan to attend this one as well. I really enjoy this show. I see it's in Hilliard this year. The old location was outgrown, I hope?
  11. That's my first car. I drove it as a Junior in high school. It was replaced by a '69 LeMans. The body is not resin, and the roof is resin, from Tom Coolidge. The car was off white with a bronze/copper interior. Finally, no, it is no further along today than it appears in the picture. Thanks for the compliment!
  12. On the kit body, the windshield top is too low. If you cut the plastic up to the top molding line, it will look better and the kit glass will cover it. Then you'll need to score a new molding line. I agree, Tom.This is the procedure I've used on my builds.
  13. I have done the conversion to standard wheelbase. The outer bed sides are done, but the inner bed sides are not. A caster has already expressed interest, so when I get these done, i'll send them to him. Short answer is, this is in the works. By the way, the bed sides have all the trim so they'll match the cab. The wheel well has been relocated and slightly reduced in size. (The Camper Special wheel well is larger and taller than standard, as well as being further back).
  14. This is it. The most important tool is the glasses. That little box under the Mustang pictures contains a ventilation fan that has been on continuously for over 21 years!
  15. Looks like the Econoline is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Looking forward to watching this progress.
  16. Donor kit is the AMT "Phantom".
  17. Finally... Only two more.
  18. Here's what I'm giving to the caster.
  19. Sunday only Toy Show for me. Maybe next time...
  20. I used to have two near me as well. The good one moved to the other side of town, and I'm left with the small, poorly stocked one. Example: The good one offered Evergreen and Plastruct. The small one has no intention of stocking Plastruct, and hasn't reordered the Evergreen since they opened, as far as I can tell.
  21. I noticed there are separate locker rooms, and not because of gender. In 1947, this is how it was. I found these plans fascinating, and have saved them for further examination. It's like a paper time capsule. How things have changed!
  22. It may be too late, but this often overlooked detail really helps the look of the C series. I don't know why it wasn't molded on in the first place...
