  4. Like everyone else who's dealt with Steve, I would say he's one of the best vendors around. Ive bought from him and will continue to do so. Stand up guy, easy to deal with, and honest.

    GT-40

Very nice! Always loved the GT40
  6. How about that steam car and trailer. I want that one! And more figures would be cool also. Cranky I already let them know, so......fingers crossed.
  7. It's really quite simple. Use one of the colors as a base coat, for example I did one using silver and green, the silver was my base coat. This keeps you from having bare spots showing through. Next get a container, I used a 5 gallon bucket, plenty big enough to ompletely submerge your model you are building. ( just the body, not the whole model) Fill with warm water, this is important, it will help keep the paint from setting up too quickly. Then spray the two colors you are using on top of the water, gently stir, not too much so that the colors mix togeather and form one butt-ugly color you don't want then insert your model. Sorry I don't have pictures of the one I did, They are all in storage and I have no clue which box it may be in. These things happen when grown kids move back home.
  8. Sorry to hear about your accident. I had hip replacement surgery about 15 months ago, not nearly as severe as what you're going through, but I can relate, somewhat. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
  9. Hey that there Porsche got two too many doors.
  10. When my now six year old niece was three, she was not able to say my name which is Paul. So she always called me Uncle Potts. It stuck and my family calls me that to this day, so I thought why not. AS for an avatar, haven't figured how to do that yet. Still learning this computer stuff. They're dragging me into the 21st century kicking and screaming.
  11. Man, now I gotta try one of these. You guys cn't have all the fun.

    It's different, I like it.
  13. Thanks alot guys, you have all been alot of help. No paint envolved, so don't have to worry about that. I'm sure the wike will really wonder about me this time.
  14. Know the feeling. Had my right hip replaced, 12 weeks off work, 'bout drove me nuts.
  15. Just came home from a swap meet with a 62 dodge lancer, already assembled and not in the best of shape. I do however want to take it all apart and rebuid it. This car has a soft spot in my heart because I had one when I was 17. However I'm not shure how to get the pieces apart without destoying any parts. Do any of you have any suggestions for me? This is new to me and you all seem to have great suggestions when another member of the forum is stumped. Help, please.
  16. I skipped over this thread several times because the subject matter didn't jump out at me. What a mistake! The talent that you show as a scratch builder just blows my mind. I am going to have to revisit this thread numerous times to try to learn as much as I can from your technique.Truly amazing.
  17. I was never into that Rat Fink thing, but i gotta admit, this is pretty dang cool!
  18. I'm not really sure what your ashamed of. Every model we build is a learning experience. I have yet to build one myself that I couldn't find something wrong with. Your only 14' and for someone that young I think you did really well. Remember what you've learned and you'll continue to grow as a modeler. We'll all be looking forward to seeing you progress.
  19. ditto
  20. Fastenating, a truly unique and interesting project. I am intriged as to how this one ends.
  21. I appear to be an oddball, because I'm only here 3 to 4 times a week.
  22. Thanks for the info, love your work, you are a true master. I enjoy building dioramas, but am fairly new at this. Thanks for the tip, it will be helpfull.
