  2. I had this one as a kid, Its huge, and one really cool model, wish i still had it. Love what you've done with yours.
  3. Looking good, Randy! Any new updates? We'd love to see more.
  4. I had a 1983 Marquis, never thought of it as a collectable car. It was a nice riding car. It had to go when it stranded my wife 6 times in one week. While I owned it my 1962 Dodge Lancer station wagon was the ugliest car I had owned, wish I had it now.
  5. ...Did you think you were buying something that some day would be a "classic" car? Back in 1979 I bought my one and only brand new car, a 1979 Plymouth Arrow pickup. Litttle did I know that the name plate would only last 3 years and some day would be impossible to find. I was "googling" all of the cars I've owned over the years, and this one was the only one I could not find one for sale. Maybe I should have kept that one..... How about you guys, have you ever bought a new car with the idea that someday it would be "collectable" or hard if not impossible to find?
  6. Maybe they are just not ready, Or pehaps they want to be they don't want to have to fight for attention, and want to do their own "show".
  7. Thats freakin' awesome!!!!

  9. awesome, Inot only love what your doing here, but I also have the parts to do this............ like I need another project.
  10. `This makes me think of a farmers workshop in my neck of the woods. Something for them to do in the winter when there are no crops in the field.
  11. I love it! Very nicely done.

  13. Nice looking truck. I love this kit, built ti twice and have one more on the shelf. It really goes togeather well. Like the godies in the bed also.
  14. Randy, you're back, thought you had dropped off the face of the earth. Almost missed this thread, since they rearranged catagories since your last post. You've proved that we can build anything if we put our mind to it. (we may need a bit of practice) You are truly an insiration to us all, we are glad to see you are back.
  15. Well Greg, What do you think?
  16. Thanks guys, appreciate the kind remarks. I have the honor of showing this one off at the LHS. They wanted to display it when they saw the finished project, since they sold me most of the supplies I needed. It's great advertising, besides, I don't have any display space at home.
  17. Well I personally think its a shame that it isn't used more. There are a lot of us here on the forum that need to make more use of this option. I personally have some stuff that I need to get rid of because of space issues, I've had to downsize lately due to one of my kids moving back home. That and the fact that I will NEVER build everything I have. It would be nice to know that there would be some traffic to even look, if not buy some of the stuff I have. I'm not looking to get retail prices, would just like to recoup some of what I have invested.
  18. I've done 1/87 scale models, what he did is truely amazing. It takes alot of work to put that much detail,in that small of scale.
  19. We can thank the train modelers for this one. The snow is from Woodland Scenics, they have an excellent video tutorial on thier website. Its a two part system using a product called Flex Paste for the base, and then the scenic snow is put on top. Any well stocked hobby shop that handles train supplies should have it. If you have a Hobby Town, or Hobby Lobby in your area I know they also carry this product. This was my first time using it and I was very pleased with the results. Thanks for the kind words, building these are a lot of fun.
  20. This is a diorama I just finished a couple of months ago. hope you enoy it, your coments are welcome.
  21. In '74 I found a '56 Chevy Belair 2door hardtop with a 409 under the hood , for $75. Dad said I couldn't have it, cause I would kill myself(i was only 16 at the time). I convenced him to let me have the 265 v-8 out of his '55 4door sedan and he could have the 409. Went back the next day and the car was gone, I was just sick. That was my first missed car.
  22. emodelcars.com check it out, its sponsered by Model Cars Magazine
  23. Why doesn't anyone use it? There are only 16 items listed as I write this. Its free. You would think more people would use it.
  24. Square tail lights? Too many sharp edges, I don't care for it at all.
