  1. What do you mean, used to play...?
  2. Looks like a little Mako Shark, a little Indy car, and a whole lot of imagination! Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing.
  3. No point in hoarding all those kits if you're not spending time building at least 1 of them ;-) Lol Agreed, so to the workbench I go..........
  4. On my '99 Venture the sliding door on the drivers side fell off on to the ground one day, that was a pain to get closed again.
  5. I've done a couple models in 1/87 scale, believe me I know what a challenge they can be. You did a very nice job with this one.
  6. Normally I don't like this color, but you really made it work. Nicely done.
  7. I love the color! The ride hieght and stance are spot on. However, something didn't look right. So I googled 51 chevy hardtpop pics, and there it was. It's missing the verticle chrome trim found on the rear window. A problem with the kit I'm sure. Still a very nice finished product, well done.
  8. This is one that I built as akid, loved it then, love it now, don't care how inaccurate it is. It still looks good. Nicely done.
  9. Ummm....guys....I think I might have a problem......?!?
  10. So if thats a problem for the owner, he'll deal with it. Seems to me thats up to him to to decide when that lines been crossed, not you.
  11. Great idea, thats what this forum is all about,....... another idea to try,.........Cool!
  12. I know what you mean about others not wanting to join in, the form is a nice substitute, but it can't replace the shows. Too bad about the show that was cancelled next month. Ther is one in Bellvue in October, Dave just posted it today, maybe we'll se you there.
  13. Already on my calender.
  14. Where did you get the gears and hand wheels?
  15. So........ moderaters aren't allowed to participate unless theres an infraction by one of the members? Aren't they members also? Isn't it fair that they get the same benefits as any other members? Just sayin.......................
  16. I first heard about 3d printing about 2 years ago. At that time it was far too expensive for the equipment, and the quality was not good enough for some patrs. ie: bodies, and any smooth finished parts. The fact that we have a printer available to us that is "affordable" to the average modeler, is amazing in itself, in my opinion. No, this will not at this time replace the kits we've all come to know and love, yet. But if memory serves me correctly, when the personal computer came out in 1981, I personally thought it was a toy the would never have a serious place in the home. Boy was I wrong! I guess what I'm trying to say is that none of us have a clue where, and how quickly this technology will progress, and what , if anything, it will replace! So, to tell someone else that their OPINION is wrong, seems to me to be foolish, if not just plain arrogant. Technology is changing the world we live in, no one can deny that. And all of us at some time or another has been caught off guard by the changes that have been made, and at times how quickly they seem to come. So, instead of calling names, being offended, and looking for reasons to post rude and belittling comments about each other, that some of us don't care to "wade through" why don't we all agree that its coming, and for the majority of us all we can really do is grab a box of popcorn, sit back, watch the show, and time will tell what will really happen. Just My Narrow-minded Pinn-headed Opinion, Paul
  17. Looks good, I like these old trucks.
  18. I grew up there, and live in Sioux City Ia now. Don't know anyone there, but know what it feels like to seem to be the only modeler in town.
  19. Anyone out there from Iowa? I'm from Sioux City, and we've got a decent hobby shop here in town, but there seems to be mainly military modelers in my area. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there/
  20. I'm sure Ford will tone the edges and busy grill down abit before it goes to production. I'm sure we'll see some aspect of this in their future models.
  21. 83% Dang Desoto's, and Merc's. That was harder than I thought it would be.
  22. Cabovers were only popular because you could pull a longer trailer with out exceding the length limit. That went away when they changed the length limit, due to driver safety. Then they could get a 53' trailer behind a conventional tractor.
  23. Who cares when it comes....just so that it does....eventually....
