Nicely done, feels good doesn't it?

Ok, like a little kid at least one of us will ask...WHY? What happens if you drill from the front side, and how can you tell where to drill from the back? I'm currently building this kit and want to do something like this to mine, and I really don't want to mess it up. Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I know its been said........but, WOW!!!! -
Flat-top, Isee a Wilson, a Merritt, and I would assume the last one was a Wilson also. What were you trying to represent by the third picture with the D B T sign on front. P.S. you are supposed to have your name and location in your signature, forum rules, just thought I'd let you know.

Everyone uses conventionals today, but back in the day of the 40' trailer, represented by the trailer Gard built, were almost always pulled by cabovers. -

Cattle trailer
uncle potts replied to Hillbilly's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Like everyone else I say go with the cabover. In the days that this rig was on the road they were almost always pulled by cabovers. I agree a new one would be nice, but i don't see it happening. -
Everytime I check in I'm once again amazed,.........I don't even know what to say....wow!??

If these are knockoffs, why would anyone want to buy them? Regardless of how cheap they are!

Hey Mobius, how about....
uncle potts replied to uncle potts's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sorry about that, I even had the box in front of me. -
So Bill, you gonna' be happy with that plastic body after all that brass chassis and aluminum engine, or you gonna' redo that too?
-
Would you consider selling the tandems, wheels, and tires from the Great Dane trailer as a seperate kit? I just bought this trailer and love it. I can see however a use for the modern air bag suspension and wheels available in this kit, to be used with some of the older trailers that are on the market. Would anybody else be interested if they made this available? What do you think guys?

It all started when I turned 40. Suddenly I no longer could outrun my kids, then in no time I'm 50 and it takes pain killers to get me out of bed in the morning.By the time I hit 52 one knee has no cartiledge in it and I'm having hip replacement surgery. And to ad insult to injury, the "little girls" at the Mcdonalds give me the senior discount. Why does our body fall apart when we think we're still young?

Very nice ! These old trucks fastinate me. I wish there were more kits available, but it seems that there are always unique versions such as these that some of us didn't even know existed. How could they possibly keep up, producing what we want? I wish I had the knowledge amd the skills needed to build such interesting replicas. Guess some of us will just have to experience these through your posts. Keep up the good work, and thanks for taking the time to share with us, because we know can be very time consuming.

You keep talking about texturing these parts. My question is, how do you do this? It's been a problem I've not been able to solve when scatchbuilding.
